The deck's wincon is having a bunch of good sized Level 4s/R4s/Doomfire. Volcanics was Rank 4 XYZ before Magazine came into play. The only thing that changed was Chain Scattershot, which is not a win-con, it's a slightly better Torrential Tribute and TT isn't even seeing play by some people due to the floaters everywhere. You're not the only one who has been playing Volcanics Post SECE. And you're the one who came after my post initially. I see nothing wrong with trying out a new card. Doomfire is essentially searchable now. You'll rarely hit boards for the Raigeki, and it's just a searchable 3K, so I'd hardly call that a gimmick, and the fact you immediately dismiss it as such shows you don't know what it's actual point is. Thanks to magazine, in addition to beating and R4, you now thin the deck a ton. Not only do you have a walking +1 and 2, but you also have a virtual upstart, and you have a once per turn (optimally) Raigeki that does real chip damage, whose only real problem deck is Burning Abyss. So your "just TT" point is absolutely terrible. Yes, BA is a big weakness, but it's the best deck so what did you expect? Shaddolls are iffy depending on what they get on the board, but Satellar/Qliphort is easy as hell to win. Nekroz aren't the easiest to beat, but that matchups all about timing and valuing each resource, from LP to genuine advantage, as much as possible, so that you don't get blown out and hopefully hold Trish at bay. Bad hands happen, but it's hardly a poor matchup, and this isn't even testing it optimally due to lack of future knowledge. And what does all this draw power mentioned earlier do? It makes you hit your loads of backrow faster, meaning that while you take 1500 + 1700, etc. off every turn, Clearly you haven't been playing them in any progressive manner, when you want to play a card like THIS. It's blatant overkill this for an obviously less than optimal gimmick, it's easy to see what's wrong. If you're going to call /1/ pseudo-Searchable (Chain + any of your draw cards, specifically magazine) Doomfire gimmicky, then say this sounds like an idea worth pursuing, I don't know what you're on.
