~British Soul~
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Blackwing_-_Nothung_the_Starlight 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters If this card is Special Summoned: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent, then make 1 monster your opponent controls lose 800 ATK and DEF. You can only use this effect of "Blackwing - Nothung the Starlight" once per turn. During your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon 1 "Blackwing" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) discuss?
Resident Fascist
Nothung too special to be honest. Should be level 5 :(
Toffee.
Wiki lists that it goes off regardless of Special Summon, despite the fact it has a hard 'once per turn' clause. Also lets you Noraml Summon another BW per turn, which is neat. mshends
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner You can only use a "Nothung" (1) effect once per turn. (1) If this card is Special Summoned: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; it loses 800 ATK. (2) While this card is face-up on the field in a Monster Card Zone, you can Normal Summon 1 "Blackwing" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) Maeriberii Haan
Now, the RL effect are looking quite nice. iCherries
This is a pretty cool alternative over Armed Wing to set off Whirlwind. The burn seems sort of random though.
The Highlander
Nothung too special to be honest. Should be level 5 :( It should not, now we have a really useful level 6 blackwing synchro. Now, the RL effect are looking quite nice. Extra NS to trigger more whirlwind, etc. Level 5 kind of hurt tho. Now, the RL effect are looking quite nice. Extra NS to trigger more whirlwind, etc. Level 5 kind of hurt tho. Exactly, now we can normal elphin after summoning this monster and trigger whirlwind additional times, for example one could normal kris, search shura, normal shura, add another card and then fill the board or add more cards with force strix or even add gale to summon gale, halve atk and end with a shura and armor master/hawk joe and a potential target for shura. Spinny
This card is kinda crazy considering A: Gale is now at 3 B: Whirl is at 3 C: Kalut + whirl into gale makes this O.O
Blake
Idgi how is this not special It's a super cowboy (stats are revered +100 def) that also shrinks something and let's you double summon each turn for more searches off of whirlwind/combos Like this cards is comparable in strength as Lapis Lazuli is for Gem-Knighte, except this dexk is more coherent. It's burn and helps kill shit while pushing forward in the game state. Yeah it's only really good with Whirlwind, but: A. That's black wings as a whole B. It allows you to make more plays even without whirlwind It's an insanely good card, and it can be made off of blizzard + level 4. It's probably the best BW synchro, though Joe isn't shabby. newhat
Still pretty overextendey, but this helps with another major Blackwing problem--getting over a large monster without losing speed (as you would with a double-bounce from the tiger). Blake
I only just noticed this was generic a minute ago. Better than Goyo. I'd say this and Psyhemuth are the best completely generic Lv. 6s, and Horus/Vulcan are more inclined to specific decks but still very good cards in their own rights. goddamnit names are a pain
Holy shit I just saw this, damn, it's amazing. So glad it's a level 6. And he/it/she looks like such a badass. So much spam with this guy ='D
玄魔の王
Now if only we could get a new LV8 Synchro that didn't suck...
Lonk
This card is awesome. That Extra Normal Summon also helps with Blizzard plays, too.
Zauls
The 2 different wordings of the effect in this thread differ greatly. Which is the official? The first one doesn't target, meaning it can get over Leo, the second one has the inflict 800 as part of the cost (I think?) which means it can inflict damage dodging all effect negation cards (correct me if I'm wrong). Either way, its a pretty damn good card and being a decent generic Level 6 is good news.
evilfusion
I think the OP's wording is more accurate, and that the effect does not target. Also, inflicting damage is NEVER a cost.

The OP was updated when images of the card became available on the Wiki, the second one is based on prelimiary translations of a very blurry image. Go with the OP. TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
Just faced it, quite a good card. Very easy with blizzard.
SirReal
I think the card is pretty good, 800 damage is good considering how Cowboy can steal games in that same manner, non-target attack decrease allows it to get over Leo (crash with 3200 and kill anything lower) and extra normal summon for aforementioned Whirlwind shenanigans. Also Generic.
