goodfusion
So I was wondering what people thought was the ideal ratio of Terraformings to Field Spells are in a deck. The reason I ask this is because I use a Psychic-Type deck with Brain Research Lab and it is extremely useful in making the deck work. So obviously I could use 3 Lab and 3 Terraforming for maximum chance to draw it, but then I can easily get dead draws. So, what are your thoughts are on balancing the chance to draw the Field Spell and the chance to get dead draws? Just for reference, here is the Field Spell I was talking about. Also sorry if my last topic in this section was a little pointless. Once per turn, you can Normal Summon 1 Psychic-Type monster in addition to your Normal Summon or Set. If successful, place 1 Psychic Counter on this card. You can also place 1 Psychic Counter on this card instead of paying Life Points to activate any Psychic-Type monster's effect that you control. When this card is removed from the field, the controller of this card takes 1000 damage for each Psychic Counter on it.
Expelsword
It's 3 if your Field Spell is godly, 2 otherwise.
goodfusion
2 what? Field Spell or Terrforming or both?
J-Max
Usually 2 Terraforming to 3 Spell. However if you are running Summoner Monk and Field Spells, always run 3 Terraforming.
Tinkerer
Yeah, I usually run 3 Fields and 2 Terraforming. Not entirely sure if this ratio would work well for Brain Research Lab, but I would say so unless you plan on protecting it as much as possible. Toffee.
As stated, it depends on the Field. If it's THAT vital to the Deck, you main 3 Terraforming. If it's not, then run like 1-2 Terraforming.
goodfusion
Ok, I'll test it a bit more with what I currently have (3 Field and 1 Terraforming) and if it's fine I'll keep it, if I need it more I'll add another terraforming. Thanks people.

Agreed. Although I would like to add that Field Spells that have the ability to protect themselves from destruction (Like Rainbow Ruins and Endymon) don't really require as many Terraforming to get them to your hand. As long as your Draw a Terraforming or the Field Spell Turn 1 you are sorted.
The Highlander
2 what? Field Spell or Terrforming or both? If you want one certain field spell you would naturally max the field spell out before adding even one terraforming ... It's 3 if your Field Spell is godly, 2 otherwise. Yea and also 3 if your field spell card discard additional copies of terraforming and would thus add an use to them if they would not have any more targets in the deck. liljramos88
I have seen ratios of two field spells with one terraforming I asked the player why not run 3 field spells and he sed I rather have the deck thining. so I would probly run 3 field with 2 terraforming
Expelsword
If deck thinning is more important to you than the Field Spell, play Upstart Goblin.
Miror B
There's also the ratio of no terraforming because you already search your field spell.
goodfusion
There's also the ratio of no terraforming because you already search your field spell. It would be nice if there was a Warrior of Atlantis-ish card for Brain Research lab.
VCR_CAT
Always ask yourself if you have use for a dead Terraforming; that's probably the big decider. If you're me and using Trains where a dead Terraforming is the perfect fodder for a discard OR to use as MST bait/Hustle Rustle fuel; then running 3 is great. If your only use for a dead Terraforming is possible JUST bait or a bluff, it's probably best to run just 2 unless you absolutely need the field spell.
