[ANIME] D/D/D Caesar Ragnarok the Wave Complete Oblivion Overlord

Level 10 / Fiend / Fusion

2 "D/D/D" monsters

When this card is targeted for an attack: You can return 1 other card you control to the hand, then target 1 monster your opponent controls, except the attacking monster; equip that target to this card. This card gains ATK equal to the total ATK of the monsters equipped to it by this effect.

The materials are not yet confirmed on the Wikia; Caesar/Ragnarok are there, due to being logical components of this card.

I will update them once Wikia edits the page on it.

Need to watch episode

3200 / ?

(Assuming WATER / DARK; probably former)

---

Anyway, discuss this.

There's one more new card Reiji has, but basically a smaller one.

I wouldn't be surprised if the material requirements IRL end up being "2 D/D/D monsters"

My guess is it probably is just "2 "D/D/D" Monsters" since this thing seriously breaks pattern. It looks an awful lot like its two materials, and is even designed after them, but then D'Arc really looks like Pandora and Proud Chevalier. Also, the lore wasn't shown, so yeah.

If it's 2 DDDs, then awesome beater, otherwise lolnope.

@Nai: Considering it has 3200 ATK, unless you have a really powerful boss monster that can get over this, most likely you're going to resort to effect removal.

But yeah, let's hope it's a generic 2 mat (D/D/D's).

At least you can use Swamp King with dead ED in the Graveyard if that actually happened.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was "2 D/D/D monsters" in the anime as well, but we can't be sure of that at this moment in time.

Besides I was looking at things from a IRL standpoint if the materials in the OP are the required materials anyway.

Picture's been added to OP, so you have idea of what it looks like.

Although some of you might have second thoughts once the official materials are released.

For now, have to make do with the filler ones [based on appearance]; in this case, I haven't looked at the episode so can't say what got fused to summon this.

Assuming the above two that are listed.

I hope they don't keep the Fusion Materials this specific.

Why keep, they are not even shown, so it is just a worst case assumption, to assume that it would be specific to those two, which would completely break break the trend of D/D/D extra deck monsters, so we can safely assume that there would not be even one specific material.

A very good idea, it is specific enough, not to outclass the other fusions (though they would still be amazing), but would still not be crap and would leave the usual D/D combo potential.

Most likely this monster will have more effects, or be able to trigger the effect in more situations, he does not have an amazing effect like the oracle overlord or alexander (who triggers of normal and special summons) and thus we can assume he will have either be able to use his effect on attacks from and against him, as well as targeting or get an effect to compensate for being less offensive or more difficult to summon (similar to temujin, caesar and tell).

Once we assume this we see the value of the second covenant as it grows even more, now being able to turn boss monsters into another powerful boss, or using used fusions etc. to fuse them into something even stronger than before (from the grave to prevent a loss of advantage).

At the time, the OP gave the impression that it was the actual requirement.

I mean, the materials aren't absurdly not-doable, but unless you're banishing them with Swamp King there's rarely a reason to fuse these two specifically.

It was indeed Caesar and Abyss Ragnarok, the latter revived with the former, and then he searched a Covenant off Caesar.

fix'd

Though your original point before my fix was true as well.

I mean, I guess if your opponent has Leo you can't Ragnarok it, so beating is the best option. The episode at least tries to sell the idea by showing that Ragnarok can basically set this up by itself, but it feels off-theme for it to have specific materials.

While it does feel of-theme by requiring specific materials (as-is), I would like Reiji to use this again just to see if it ACTUALLY does require specific materials or not.

Wow, feels weird to correct you for once. XD

I suppose if it does, that makes Ragnarok searchable by Fusion Conscription, at which point you can use his Pendulum effect. But I do hope it's just 2 DDDs, for the sake of actually being able to play this.

I hope it is 2 D/D/Ds as well, just so that A it'll be playable and B so it isn't off-theme as well.
