HOW DARE THEY CHANGE CRAWLING IN MY SKIN TO A MORE CHEERFUL AND LESS EMO THEME!!11!!!!!!!!!!!!ONE

....

I went and looked up the other card's names- Appearently other Infernoids were renamed to names that reflect their own level, but in a different language.

Didn't know that before, but still... It's an amusing way to go about dodging the satanic names they originally had.

Would have liked the satanic names but it was never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever going to happen because the three people below 16 that actually buy cards in real life would of course have begun sacrificing their families to appease the devil had they seen such names. Good thing Konami saved us.

....Aside from the fact they have been censoring Ankhs/Crosses/Halos/Suggestive themes/etc for years?

Oh dear, my ub3r h@rdc0r3 3p1c n@m3s were changed to stuff that doesn't sound badass whatever am I going to do.

Honestly, who cares. The names the changed them to are fine; why must everything HAVE to sound like a thirteen-year-old designed it? The name changes are usually all over the place (thank Ra they're called Morphtronics and not Deformers), but like the worst-case scenarios are we're either going to get a pretty meh name that doesn't matter (seriously who cares), or a hilariously bad one. I'm honestly fine with any of them.

As of right now, unless you've done the market research to show the different demographics that play this game and have a good idea which is the most dominant in buying and playing the cards AND what their general stance on the subject is (or their parent's for that matter) you're in no position to say what censorship is pointless and what isn't; since all that's showing through is a bias for someone who really wants them but hasn't many effort to see what the actual impact would be. Until then, all you're saying is biased speculation.

And honestly, who CARES? WHY do you want that stuff in the game so bad? It's just the art and names, it doesn't change how the cards play at all. This is nothing worth getting upset over, and definitely doesn't have really any good reason to fight for.

Don't badly want it and am not upset, I'd just prefer it because to me it looks better.

I just wanna know what the hell Anoyatyllis is named after.

It appears to be some cobbled together name formed by taking the name Anomalilith, replacing the "-lilith" part with the "-yaty" part from Lilith's TCG name, and using "-llis" because it's a homophone for "-lith" in Katakana. So basically it's gibberish.

The cross probably slipped under their radar, while his Halo can easily be interpreted as a crown. Besides, it is just art and names. You say you don't care, yet you complain about it. Pick one.

I would prefer them to leave more things go and certain edits are more annoying than others, like Cowboy's guns being made green for example. Ultimately my thoughts vary case by case, Parasitic Parasite is an example of something that was a good edit and Cowboy is not. I hadn't planned on being brought into a discussion on this, 'twas a throwaway comment and I haven't much to add.

Because we all know there isn't a single person who likes the original lore, the art or the mythological/literary/pop culture references ¬¬ I don't take that as seriously as some people and even I feel very upset about those changes. One of the aspects I appreciate the most about this game is precisely what goes beyond the playing mechanics.

Honestly, I can totally understand why they do that, but I still hate that practice a lot - and I think I have all the right to do so. I'll just not get into a fight over that.

The names they had originally had some significance, because these creatures are the demons of the Qliphoth, which is an actual mysticism concept in Judaism.  I'm not gonna raise hell over their name changes, as they're consistent and correspond to their Level, but don't try to pull the "It's just a game; the lore or flavour doesn't matter" routine.

We're eventually going to get over it, and move on.
