mshends
Goyo Chaser Level 5 ??? Synchro 1900/1000 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon that monster to your side of the field, but its ATK is halved. Goyo Predator Level 6 ??? Synchro 2400/??? 1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon that monster to your side of the field. (GigaDrillBreaker)
Goyo chaser is horrid. Goyo predator has potential, simply because it help push for OTKs.
~British Soul~
Even though I'd rather play Guardian over Predator, at least with Predator you can SS the destroyed monster in attack position, meaning it could lead to OTKs and stuff.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
...inb4 Goyo becomes its own Archetype later on (if it hasn't already)... Anyway, Predator is nice since you can still use the monster to attack (and likely destroy more stuff and/or win); as opposed to Guardian which keeps said 'mon in Defense Position. Chaser is meh. Most you can really do with said monster is either use it for future Synchro/Xyz bait, or just small attacks. In Predator's case, I don't mind the 400 ATK loss from Guardian, if that'll allow you to push for game when needed. Then again, 2400 ATK is about right on a Level 6 for the most part. Lonk
I wished they were all named 'Goya' so that I can make a reference that they are Japanese Hispanics who guard beans, chase beans and predate beans.
Slinky
Chaser is what the original Goyo should have been on release. Still allow it to attack but at reduced damage. Wouldn't fly today, but it'd have been a way to balance it back then. Either way, I love both these cards. Trudge.dek had a distinct lack of Level 5s, and Chaser fills that (no Sergeants doesn't count because it isn't generic)
玄魔の王
It's obvious these were designed the OCG since that's where Goyo Guardian is still banned. Predator is a fair trade, 400 ATK for choice of mode, while Chaser needs a buff of some kind since his ATK is low for a LV5. That said, 5 and 8 are basically the easiest Levels. Toffee.
WAIT A MINUTE... ARE YOU TELLING ME.... AFTER WE FINALLY ESTABLISHED THE FACT THAT THIS GAME IS TOO GOOD FOR GOYO AND HIM BEING@3 IS SOMETHING WE DON'T CARE ABOUT.... .... WE ACTUALLY GOT A "FAIR" GOYO!? 11/10, I applaud your efforts
Darj
Not sure if I would call it more fair. Yes, it has -400 ATK than Guardian, but stealing in ATK Position can lead to annoying OTKs and steal games. I would rather have and keep Guardian than Predator. But I don't think one can exactly compare them with each other anyway, because each would have different purposes.
Toffee.
Not sure if I would call it more fair. Yes, it has -400 ATK than Guardian-Goyo was only a prominent force back in the day for 2 reasons.1, being a Synchro meant it was always on-hand. But so were a lot of other monsters.2, 2800 is very high for a Level 6 that you can pull out of nowhere. This card, however...Reviving in attack mode is "fine"(I use this lightly), since 2400 isn't exactly an intimidating number. - Minimania -
Nice, now it's possible for me to steal multiple Goyo's in one Battle Phase.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Also a side note, Chaser's DEF is confirmed as 1000 in the episode (although it likely doesn't matter too much). I'll edit the main post for you. As for Predator, IDK; but again is still cool.

Well the main reason Goyo was so prominent is because Stardust Dragon was every deck's go-to boss and it was absolutely everywhere. Goyo was an extremely effective counter to it. Anyway, I doubt either of these cards would make too much impact if they were released, especially Chaser, that thing is really bad.

I was kinda' sorta' implying this, since it wouldn't be much of a counter if it's ATK was less then or equal to 2500.
Hello my name is Enguin
Predator + Moon Mirror Shield means you can take absolutely anything that your opponent can bring out and spin it on them. Fun.

Chaser could easily get buffed with some kind of other effect though.
Spinny
Chaser will probably be buffed with a float that allows you to synchro summon a goyo from your ED for free. Because it is kind of bad right now since their are better options. The predator isn't amazing either but IMO 6 is an easier to make number so maybe he won't be as strong?
