I really like my arena, it certainly isn't as fatal as others, but it sure will be fun! BTW, will arenas revealed be used again for future matches?

No.  There will be no recycled arenas.  There are new up and coming arenas in store for round 2, the semi finals, and the finals and bronze match.

[spoiler=I'm a Computer, Stop All the Downloading]

Name: S4R-J3S

Gender: Perceived female

Age: Perceived late-20s

Species: Perceived metahuman

Appearance:  S4R-J3S, or Sar'jes, has yet to be seen outside of her armor.  Instead, she has only been scene inside of her power armor, and only that appearance can be described.  The armor is an immaculate purple from head to toe, with a bright orange running between plates of armor as the illuminated energy powering the armor and as the color of the undermesh.

The helmet is round and featureless, with a single visor design that has yet to be anything but opaque.  A thick orange undermesh supported with tubes to bring in air and sustenance for the internal occupant wraps around the entire body, with plates of purple armor adorning the vast majority of the body.  The chest has metahumanoid breastplate of female configuration, consistent with human female appearance.  The stomach and hips are slender, protruding only where necessary for more armor or support.  A codpiece seals the armor tight from the belly-button area through behind the butt of the power armor, preventing separation of the front and back.  The legs are several pieces fitted together to allow for the necessary range and movement, including a set of spring-like attachments to the feet themselves along the heel, much like a pedal, that allow the armor to jump multiple times via rapid eruption of compressed air.

For reference -  http://i.imgur.com/Iy20zzo.jpg, but purple/orange and helmeted

Biography: Sar'jes was not born Sar'jes but instead adopted the name upon the adoption of the suit.  She has refused the request of her Earth government to relay who she was before the adoption of her powered armor, and has refused the demands of various third parties as well.  Even outright bribery won't win her allegiance in this matter.  Instead, since her return, she has taken up bounty hunting.

She was contacted via a subspace message to her AI.  Sar'jes was told the grand prize pool of 100,000,000,000 would be hers if she won the tournament.  All she wants to do is open up a puppy orphanage guarded by laser beams.  To just lay in the puppies.  Pupppiiieeesss.

Personality:  Sar'jes is a queer animal; at times, she seems to be a party animal, and at others, she is quite reserved.  Her bipolar nature does not extend to violence or an erratic attitude towards individuals, just general mood shifts.  Chatty or quiet, she is very impersonal - she will talk about taboo subjects with ease and has very little sense of shame.  Her brusque attitude and uncaring demeanor can come across as unkind or rude.  Instead, she cares to get to know people quickly and to the point.

Loves doggehs oh mah gawdd

Weapon(s) of choice:

Large weapon: the armor itself, which culminates in the main featured "weapon" of the armor - laser hands!  Along the hands of the power armor are a grid with small nodes into which five spheres can set themselves in various configurations.  These spheres will emit lasers typically from the fingertip or palm which individually are of moderate power but together can be concentrated into a larger beam for powered long-range "sniping", terminated into a short-range "blade" for melee combat, or used to create a temporary high-powered lasered shield slightly larger than the size of a hand for defensive measures.

Small weapon one: a localised EMP and accompanying backup system.  Very short-range - meters.

Small weapon two: before each match, Sar'jes can insert one capsule of a single compound into a system that will emit a gaseous cloud of said capsule.  Because it is aerosolysing a liquid, the cloud can be issued multiple times during a fight, but cannot be refilled or changed until after the fight is done.  The gas is typically corrosize or immediately lethal to organics.

Power Array:

Power one: the armor itself also is accompanied with an AI.  Sar'jes has the benefit of an obscenely smart AI to assist her with analysing fighting patterns, planning fights, scanning the environment, and performing other scans that would normally take up conscious time.  The AI allows Sar'jes to focus on making the actual decisions while other things - like reacting to punches or aiming laser strikes - are done behind the scenes with the aid of a superaccurate AI.

Power two: the armor has the ability to repair minor wounds, while materiel lasts.

Power three: the armor is designed for atmospheric reentry; while not performing any of these duties, instead it is capable of withstanding extreme temperatures and pressure.  The strength of material necessary for said power armor functions also gives passive strength and speed.

Power four: the armor can shift quickly.  You know - like a dash to the side!  Different joints along the body of the armor contain compressed RAMJET-like miniature engines that allow it to dodge or dash with a bang.

Misc.:  Theme song!  Sar'jes favorite color is purple.  She likes to get drunk.  Eyes on the prize.

I'm confused to what happens to odette, is she like afk from the tournament 'til round 1 is done?

Not entirely.  You could arrive back at the hotel actually.  Round one should be done shortly.  We're trying to wrap it up.  >.<

Hear ye, hear ye.  With my latest post, round 1 has come to an end.  First and foremost, thank you for playing, and I'm happy that you've made it this far.  I'd like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for sticking with something that is of great importance to me, and seeing it through to what can basically be dubbed the half-way point.   And congrats for working so hard.  I won't be posting round two just yet, but if you refer to the previous roster and recall the winners of each match, you can pretty much figure it out.  I'll have more for you shortly, and I hope you're looking forward to round two as much as I am.

For now, this next half-act / intermission will be to take a break from the constant brawling and to alleviate both players and characters.  And you're all invited!

[spoiler=NPC Ahoy!]

Name: Vena Reaperson

Gender: Female

Age: 14 (created 4 years ago)

Species: Flesh Golem
[spoiler=More about flesh golems]

Though rather different from the archetypical zombie, flesh golems have much in common with the mindless walking corpses.  They are created by necromancy, are a form of undead (and have all the strengths and weaknesses thereof), and are eternally loyal to their master.  However, quite unlike zombies, flesh golems require a considerably higher level of necromancy to create, but are far smarter than their mindless cousins, even capable of a degree of self-awareness and conscious thought.  The exact details vary from one golem to the next, and of course with the power of the creator, but a typical flesh golem has a good three or four centuries in them before they begin rotting and eventually dying for good.

[spoiler=Appearance]pPavfDc.jpg
Vena is not a tall person.  She stands at only 4'10" and weighs in at about 100 pounds.  Maybe the whole being undead thing has something to do with it, but her skin has a distinct yellowish hue, but her hair is the same orange as Morgan's.  Similar to her sister, Vena always wears a black witch hat, but her outfit otherwise is vastly different.  She wears thigh-high stockings and arm warmers (both in orange and purple stripes) to conceal that the skin around her elbows and knees is not just missing, but was never there to begin with.

The golem production budget for the month ran low.  It wasn't anyone's fault.

[spoiler=Biography]

Vena was “born” under very unusual circumstance. In fact she was never really born at all. She was created, by the lich Grimsley Reaperson. A golem made out of human flesh and brought to life by the darkest of magic.

Grimsley had struggled with a simple problem for a few years. His wife was dead and his precious daughter, Morgan, was an only child. She had no friends to keep her company, seeing as friends were difficult to come by when your father is a horrible skeletal monstrosity. This had never came to his mind until Morgan watched some movie depicting sisters and Morgan demanded a sister. He never explained to her how exactly this stuff worked and didn’t want to deal with that. Instead he picked, what he saw to be, the easier route and got to work. After killing a few low level minions for the appropriate “ingredients”, and a day of work, Vena was brought to life. He made sure to make her the best possible companion to Morgan, making her powerful enough to protect his little girl, while weak enough to be smacked down by her if she so desired.

Ever since, Vena's role has been a simple one.  She's been Morgan's little sister, showering her big sister with admiration and doing anything asked of her.  She may have grown perhaps a bit too attached to Morgan, but nothing bad has happened yet, so Grimsley has yet to intervene.

[spoiler=Personality]

Vena is hard-wired to obey the Reaperson family, but barring this, answers to no person or law, acting on her own twisted whims whenever she has no present orders.

She's very fond of funny things.  Of course, her definition of "funny" doesn't quite line up with that of any respectable member of society.  In a single sentence, it would be "You can't spell slaughter without laughter."  She enjoys absolute carnage, and causing it.  Whether it's a trait Grimsley gave her or one she developed herself is up in the air, but there's seldom a quiet moment to be found in Vena's presence.  Of course, there's one thing she loves even more than screams, fire, blood, or violence.

Vena was "programmed" to be a sort of little sister figure for Morgan, and harbors a deep affection toward her "older sister", almost dangerously so.  It would be faster to list the things Vena wouldn't do on the spot if she believed Morgan so much as implied it, which can often lead to drastic or otherwise unusual actions.  She'll do anything to make Morgan happy.  Anything.

[spoiler=Power Array]

Undead: Vena is dead.  Or rather, undead.  This means she has no need for food or oxygen, and is immune to all but the most severe pain.  Course, it also means she's weak to fire-type attacks.

Acrobat: Vena can't hover like the other Reapersons, but damn if she can't jump.  Vena is capable of leaps and bounds that could make comic book heroes jealous.

Exteeeeeeeeeeeeeeending Limbs: The lack of skin around her elbows and knees wound up becoming an advantage; one of the finishing touches on Vena's design was the ability to freely extend or retract her limbs to a length of up to ten feet.  Aside from the comical purpose of slapping somebody from across the room, this compliments Vena's acrobatic ability.

Metal As sheet: Pyromancy at its finest, used to fire forth flaming skull-shaped projectiles.  Vena isn't as powerful as Morgan and can't simply have the skulls hover around her, so she must shoot as soon as the projectile is created.  Unlike Morgan's skulls, these do not explode.

Necromancer: While no expert in the art, Vena knows her way around a corpse or two.  The greatest feat she's capable of at present is conjuring and controlling two undead minions.

Alright you little sheet, get your rear in gear.  Pack your bags, cuz you're staying at the Golden Gate Hotel.  And don't go spraying blood on the carpets.  Obeying law or rules or not, Gerald won't like it.  Accepted.

[spoiler=Plot Device Games Convicts and Victim]

Convict A:

Brian Ulstead

HT:  6 feet 4 inches
WT:  220lbs
Race:  African
Crime:  Terrorist threats, manslaughter, distribution of cocaine

Religious radical who was imprisoned for alleged terrorist threats against the UN.  Brian was born an raised in Djbuti, but made his way North-East to the nation of Islam, where he joined extreme religious group 0PAK.
He quickly worked his way up the ranks, to becoming a warlord, making a name for himself as an enemy of the state, and of course the UN.  With two hundred counts of manslaughter, possession and distribution of cocaine,
and a number of home made videos directing his threats of bombs towards the UN, Brian had become quite the character.  Unfortunately, he's cocky.  He left a large paper trail behind and he was tracked to a run down fishery
in Afghanistan.  He has since been captured.

Convict B:

Malcolm Long

HT:   5 feet, 8 inches
WT:  165lbs
Race:  Caucasion American
Crime:  Embezzlement, Money Laundering, Black Mail, Bribery of a Peace Keeper, Domestic Violence

Former banker and con-artist Malcolm Long was rather tricky to catch.  He knew money and the system it worked in better than most, and probably better than the entire treasury of the United States.  Malcolm began his life of
crime in Oakland, California where he was quickly put into debt following a loan to cover the costs of a loved one's funeral.  Thirty thousand to be exact.  Malcolm put in plenty of hours, but at 8 bucks he just couldn't cut
it.  Instead, he began moving funds out of small strong boxes first, twenty, thirty bucks at a time.  But even after two weeks of not getting caught and raking in around ten grand, he couldn't get enough.  Eventually it
stopped being about the funeral costs and more about the adrenaline rush he got from breaking his bank.  But of course, Malcolm's life caught up to him.  He started experimenting with ways to get the money, wiring a little over
a thousand bucks at a time from the bank to his own off shores account through a series of twisted and sneaky transfers (most of them over the course of a hundred or more transfers in tiny amounts).  What got Malcolm caught was
his wife.  She finally began questioning where the money was coming from, and Malcolm didn't particularly like that.  After he beat her half to death, she ran, straight to Oakland PD.  The scrawny bastard was caught two days
later trying to cross over into Mexico.  The fun part?  He tried to bribe border patrol.  How dumb do you have to be?

Convict C:

Paulie Belrose

HT:  6 feet
WT:  255lbs
Race:  Caucasion European
Crime:  Aggravated Asssault, Domestic Violence, Battery of a Peace Keeper

The story behind Paulie is as simple as it gets.  He travels to the U.S. to play football and he's a natural star.  Ends up as a Defensive Lineman for the Dallas Cowboys and brings them another trophy.  But everybody had their
suspicions about Paulie.  For a guy at six feet, he was too big.  Wasn't long before he was tested for steroids and he was caught.  His girlfriend knew, and of course he blamed her for it.  Slapped her hard enough to chip two of
her teeth.  She calls the cops, he goes for a run, and ends up getting in a tussle with the local PD.  He's booked and sentenced to fifteen years.

His name is Hubert, and he's a former pro football player.
There is currently 1 bruise on his body, around his throat
he is wearing no shirt, but black pants and black socks
there is a bloodstain on his left pants leg
his hair is messed
and he has an indent in his head, like someone bashed it in.

HT:  6 feet 2 inches
WT:  260lbs

1.)  Convicts cannot lie.
2.)  Each convict is serving an indefinite sentence.

Edited for clarity.
