What's left for KONAMI to do:

Dramatic Crossroad

Recommended Posts

Will KONAMI eventually run out of ideas?

the've recycled quite a few names and themes, i swear there are like 10 different "kings of hell" and hella lot more "gods" and angels and such. (roughly speaking)

We have beast, magical godly-mech-animals, gladiator-trained beasts, mythological phantasm beasts, mythological-beast-themed aircrafts, dragons, cybernetic dragons, particle dragons, dragon-look-alike-aetherial beings, cosmic dragons, color-eyed dragons, underwater dragons, signer dragons, elemental dragons and elemental rulers of all kinds (dragons, monarchs, etc), leviathans, sea-serpents and sharks, mermaids and frogs even, demons or every shape and size (down to dust particles), animal themed doll monsters, sweet-food-themed monsters, which are actually dolls, murderous horror dolls who are really dolls, used-to-be-alive puppet dolls, used to be a cute plush doll monsters, worm-inspired gooey aliens, goo-inspired goo aliens, alien-inspired-reptilian aliens, a few sets of name-sharing monsters from eastern mythology, monsters from European mythology & legends, monsters inspired by nordic mythology, comic-book hero inspired monsters, comic-book hero inspired insect-like monsters, at least 2 sets of monsters inspired by (semi)precious gems, battery monsters, electric animal monsters, vehicle "monsters", sattelite "monsters, monsters that are actually a cluster of gears, monsters that are a cluster of gears put into a vehicle, humanoid birds, specific-color feathered humanoid birds, non-humanoid mech-looking birds, reptile-to-dinosaur evolution-themed monsters, protectors of nature bugs and plants-themed monsters, underground roar-god demons, underground roar-god demons' pets, a band of thief monsters, a band of beasts and warriors monsters, boxing monsters, sports-playing monsters, monsters that are actually items - artifacts and statues and inanimate objects and rocks, futuristic robots, antique robots, transformer-inspired electronics monsters, computerparts-inspired mechanic demon monsters, Jewish-mysticism-inspired robotic monsters, robotic in-a-bowl fish monsters, gozilla-franchise monsters, star-wars-inspired monsters, perfume inspired monsters, circus animals, circus performers & clowns/jokers/jesters, at least 2 tarot-inspired monster sets, fortune-teller monsters, vampires, vampire bat-things and halloween-themed monsters, fossil monsters, ritual upholding monsters, ritual upholding "wear the flesh and the skin of the enemy" monsters, "one with nature" shaman monsters, "one with the shaman" nature monsters, trains, music-inspired archetypes - i can recall at least 3, chess inspired demons, card-inspired warriors, shogi-inspired monsters, monsters that are literally jars, office supplies monsters, cockroaches, monsters that are basically a swarm/flock of smaller monsters, robotic god entities, robotic psychic monsters made out of the trash of the robotic god entities' remains, ... the list goes on, i can add stuff, but its really hard to list all archetypes there is,

Can you guess what's next?

I think they haven't released a fully dedicated deck on food in general or dishes and cutlery and such (malicevorous almost count though). We have no appliance deck - such with dishwashers, stoves and toasters, furnish archetype with couches, tables, chairs and drawers(?), architecture archetype made of walls, floors, ceilings, arches etc, fashion deck with mannequins, fabrics and different sewing techniques, art-pieces that are not haunted monsters, chemistry-inspired science monsters (oxy-hydro-carboneddon barely count), "travel the world" monsters with "around the world"-themed field spells,

And that would be considered walking on a thin line of plagiarism and exploiting someone else's exceptionally successful franchise.

Still waiting for them to make something inspired by Metal Gear Solid or Silent Hill (:P), like they did with the Castlevania vampire stuff  (Tactical Espionage Unit was OK, but kinda spoofy)

A full archtype following different kinds of service workers, like police officers, fire fighters, ambulances, with contracted road workers, grouchy donut- token stacking Police Chief and Their boss card could be like, Mayor.

Roids are kind of like this but not really. Actually the more I think about it the more I feel like there must be at least a few cards that fit this description but cannot think what they are.

I agree with you assesment on the similarity between that and the roids.

Well, we did have a member who wanted Konami to make a Silent Hill archetype a few days ago.

That would probably work, provided sensitive parents in this country aren't going to blow stuff up because of their nature.

They can also make stuff from their other franchises, like DDR (how that'll work out, IDK).
