I was waiting for the source to give us more information tonight but this pretty much funked that up.

I see. The photos were still shoddy though, probs due to eagerness (and maybe the potential bollocking that would've followed if the photo was better quality). Perhaps the topic could've waited until later tonight when we had the info from the source.

wot

And the source is someone at the printer who doesn't play YGO and thought we just wanted card images/names. We're likely not getting that information now.

Wait....

If Wicked is Darth Maul, and she is fighting Luke and Obi-Wan...

....

So this is Episode 4 and 1?

OR (and this is a bit of a stretch) Farmgirl is actually Obi-Wan and Goodwitch is in fact Qui-Gon Jinn, because their respective Lightsab--er, Lightswords in "Kozmo Lightsword" are blue (Obi-Wan) and green (Qui-Gon).  Which means the fight shown in Kozmo Lightsword is taking place in Episode 1.

... unless Konami is simply taking a few artistic liberties or didn't do enough research, that is.

You don't understand how leaks work, do you?

The more blurry/tilted/etc the image is, the more belivable it is.

Just look at Smash Bros leaks, for example.

Ah gotcha.

Although smash leaks tend to be abused and be made fake to the point that everything seems untruthful now (gamefaqs is guilty)

Yeah, why Konami still insists on that Dark Witch bullshit when they've alredy released cards in the TCG with Valkyrie in their names? Is it because they form an archetype that other Valks don't belong to? And what did they have on their mind when they decided to change the first Valkyrie card's name (simply named "Valkyrie" and first used by Mai during the first Virtual World arc) to Dark Witch in the first place? And despite the fact the most Valkyries are LIGHT Angel/Fairy-Types? Urgh...

As for the Kozmo cards, I didn't expect them to go full Star Wars with them. The Wizard of Oz may not be protected under copyright laws anymore, but Disney would have more than enough power to burn and pile Konami should they feel their property has been violated.

I mean with the new Movies starting later this year, they'd be mad not to milk the publicity as much as they can by making it less of a .... subtle reference.

Practically anything that can have some kind of stake in Star Wars will be doing this over the rest of the year.

This isn't how copyright works.

Put simply, it is Wizard of Oz as a space opera, using Star Wars as a point of reference for the hype.

Blatantly adhering to the story would be silly when they can have arts as hype as lightsword's.

Speaking of which, I am really curious just how viable an equip spell may turn out to be.
