effect:

Once per turn, during the Standby Phase: You can Special Summon 1 "DOG Fighter Token" (Machine-Type/DARK/Level 6/ATK 2000/DEF 2400). If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; Special Summon 1 Level 5 or lower "Kozmo" monster from your deck.

Anyway, it can summon sliprider which is broken as hell since it lets you go forerunner -> this -> slip -> strawman -> forerunner again, and basically makes forerunner float a lot harder.

It's...good? Spawning beaters every turn isn't a bad thing, but I'm not 100% if it'd be run. Then again, the ninja above me reminds me that this keeps the ship float going for a very long time, and you're guaranteed a token, so it's pretty good.

EDIT: its filename is THEStandbyPhaseNotYOURStandbyPhase.jpg, so Konami obviously knows we're squinting on these guys

In initial builds I can see this played at 1, this card is fantastic to float into vs Trap decks (namely trap BA) as they already have trouble dealing with the Forerunner (Virgil + Giga-Brilliant/Muzurhythm being the most realistic outs, but keep in mind its harder to achieve with less BA names than BIG BA). Now you are generating free monsters, increasing your damage output by 2k each turn (very common to have free turns vs trap decks) while threatening a Sliprider,

Except... they can just remove this with Karma Cut, unlike Forerunner.

You are summoning this after Forunner is outted, the comparison doesn't apply.

You could argue that you get more value out of summoning Sliprider because of the MST effect, but it's still getting hit by Karma Cut anyway in that scenario, you just have the slight advantage of hitting another backrow if the backrow you targeted is not the chained karma cut.

Flying Monkeys+TIE fighters guessing?

Nope. Not a Tie Fighter.

It's a Droid Starfighter:

This is evidenced, not only by the fact the shape is similar, but This card's artwork has little slits on the ship itself, which suggest that the wings can function as legs(or whatever), similar to how these Starfighers can walk around:

...Which reinforces this point.
