[The card in the extreme lower left with the DT art]

Ultimate Providence

Counter Trap

When a Spell/Trap Card or monster effect is activated: Discard 1 card of the same card type (Monster, Spell or Trap); negate the activation, and if you do it, destroy that card.

So, the TCG has printed another Ariadne target, and it's a full-on Barrier with Ariadne in the Pendulum Zone.  Not sure how much play it will see, but it's cute.

As for the artwork, those look like Tierra's two orbs striking Ulti-Gaiapelio, who's shielding Lara.  More DT art is interesting.

It's a good mirror match card... But, it's probably not going to be good now.

9/10, it's worse than divine wrath, as 25-35 cards in your Deck are going to be monsters in Pepe, leaning around the middle of that to fit Engine spells. This means, it's a worse divine wrath usually, with small chances to hit other stuff.

And Divine Wrath isn't good against Pepe/Ppal, anyways.

Definitely a good card to remember while going forward, though.

I'm not actually sure, but do Pendulum monsters count as spell cards in hand or not?

It's ironic cause this is exactly what the OCG format needs at the moment. An easy sure fire way to stop Twin Twister/Duster

With rescue pals being the new evolution of Pepe, clash will be "dead" soon, giving you easy spells...sucks we have to wait 9 months for this bugger

It's far superior to Divine Wrath in TCG cause you can help solidify the Cydra Set 3 counter trap play with it. It's the long needed out to power spells.

Wouldn't this card, like, clash with Ariande(w/e) since the later doesn't require you to Discard, but This card needs you to Discard something of the same type of card activated in order to cancel it?

TCG doesn't really do rulings so it coul either be that or we might have to wait till the Extra pack and OCG rulings on the matter

I would assume the card can't be activated since the effect is based off of the discard in terms of Ariadne.

Near as I can tell, it does synergize with Ariadne. Let's look at the wording.

When a Spell/Trap Card or monster effect is activated: Discard 1 card of the same card type (Monster, Spell or Trap); negate the activation, and if you do it, destroy that card.

So, what does Ariadne do? She removes the discard cost. So let's try this again, this time with the cost removed.

When a Spell/Trap Card or monster effect is activated: Negate the activation, and if you do it, destroy that card.

The activation condition and the resolution care not about the type of card/effect activated. Only the cost, which she omits, cares.

>Secret Notice

>Secret Pendulum Sorcerer

I'm totally going to get my wallet murdered this Sneak Peak.

A very nice DT reference here coming from the TCG. If only I could see a better quality picture of what's going on. The card itself is ok since it is flexible enough to stop any potential effect, but requires you to have a hand sufficient enough to negate anything. In most decks like Pepe, this card won't seem to be useful at all since most of the Deck is monsters, but maybe something like BA might like this.

Ariadne can search traps, you might draw your trap holes, Pepe run plenty of spells

So, if most of the cards you're running are monsters, meaning that you're most likely going to be discarding monsters for Divine Wrath, then isn't this just as good as Divine Wrath but with added potential to negate Traps and Spells? The only downside of it compared to Divine Wrath in the situation you described is that you can't discard a Spell/Trap to negate a monster effect, but that doesn't matter so much seeing as most of your deck is monsters.

Unless I'm missing something here, if so please help.
