Sleepy
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Ghostrick I'm interested in building a deck with these little fellas. I think they sound like a lot of fun, and despite an ideal build having to exist out there,[spoiler=It looks like it was designed with different routes in mind] -Level 2s (and their Rank 2) seem to be about holding your opponent down and possibly locking them.-Level 1s are all about responding to attacks and giving you little bonuses for intercepting.-Level 3s are half of the archetype and seem to be separated into goals.Stein and Jiangshi are searchers, Skeleton and Wolf are alternate routes to win (deckout and burn), Yeti is protection, Mummy is swarm, and Ghoul is a beater. The Field Spell Cards seem like they wanna replace some of the members in plays. They all prevent face-downs from being attacked but:-Mansion (the most popular one) decreases damage, letting you live long enough to setup, this being a somewhat slow and reactive deck and all.-Museum sets monsters that battle. In theory I think it pretends to let you cut lose on effects that set cards, though with how weak Ghostricks all, the damage can still end up hurting a lot.-Parade follows the trait of slow and reactive, being an early game mass searcher (or at least having the potential to be one) but at expense of your inability to damage the opponent and jumping through hoops if you wanna ensure this card searches you enough. So what do you think of the archetype? What plays and builds do you have for them and how does this deck stand (or doesn't) in todays game? Toffee.
Actually the Archetype lacked any sort of win condition and/or set goal in mind, outside of attacking directly with the Field, but that was just how the Archetype had played naturally. But then they made Skeleton. And now the Deck is more about Skeleton eating your opponent's Deck. .... But by all means, you can play the archetype however, since they are loaded with an abundance of cards that slow your opponent down/guard your Set cards/etc.

Catman25
I finally got all the sheet together, so I took these to locals today. If I learned anything, it's that this deck can certainly stand up to the meta. They play a lot of cards that really slow the game down, and if your opponent doesn't know the deck well, you can really take advantage of their misplays. Right now I'm playing a Speedroid engine: pumps out Rank 3s pretty easily, and I actually brought out Trish, Chanbara and Totem Bird today, all of which I never thought I'd touch. The Kozmo match I think is pretty fair, the traps don't target, and Kozmo don't really swarm fast enough to get over your boards. That's where Pepe's strength lies, but that's why you play stuff like Needle Ceiling and Quaking MF. I haven't gone up against Monarchs, but they have the same sorta deal as Kozmos, except Dominion and also Stormforth hurt pretty bad. If you know the deck well, I think Ghostricks can certainly have success this format. It's slow to setup, but once you get rolling, it can be really hard to get through all the traps and bosses. Unfortunately irl, you can go into time quite easily, and that could steal you some wins, or just the opposite, which is one thing that certainly affects gameplay and gets into questionable stalling, etc.
Jrvasquez221
I love ghostricks and have been playing them ever since their release. I personally love the ghostrick LOCK using Ghostrick Night to make your opponent unable to flip summon (and thus locking them since nobody uses tribute summon nowadays except maybe some decks such as monarch and Kozmos only after I lock them and they are forced to tribute summon their ships). Its pretty easy to lock your opponent believe it or not. The only major weakness , which is a huge problem, is the spell/trap card removals. The deck DIES to them. Jrvasquez221
The lock is a bit bad now that we have Dust force tbhWell, not exactly, because Dust force only works on those monsters affected when it was activated, so if your opponent only had 1 face-up attack position monster, it will only set that 1 monster. And your opponwnt can still summon more monsters, what I like from this strategy of mine is that withthe continuos usage of GhostrickGo Round, I can keep setting monsters turn after turn. But yeah, that card is great, I even use it in my ghostricks decks.
Hello my name is Enguin
So so so so so so annoying to play against. If you stop them getting things going in the first 2/3 turns you win, otherwise you may end up losing by deck-out if nothing else.
Kanashimi
I looove this deck (kawaiii art is enough for a reason!) A lot of Ghostrick build out there as far as i know . . . like deck-out build, direct attack build, lock build, otk build etc etc etc since they have 3 field spell for different purpose, and recently i saw someone using pendulum ghost for l3 spam and already mentioned speedroid to speed them up. The Nyx Avatar
I remember when it was called ghostrick DorklordI remember when it was called Ghostrick Fallen Angel/Dark Angel Anywho: I like Ghostrick for the premise and art, but with all Spell/Trap removal, finding a good competitive build is impossible.
