Wavering Eyes

Destroy as many cards in each player's Pendulum Zones as possible, then apply these effects, in sequence, depending on the number of cards destroyed by this effect.
●1 or more: Inflict 500 damage to your opponent.
● 2 or more: You can add 1 Pendulum Monster from your Main Deck to your hand.
● 3 or more: You can banish 1 card on the field.
● 4: You can add 1 "Wavering Eyes" from your Deck to your hand.

I’ll actually miss using this card, since it sped up the slower pends and put the hurt against opponents.
Somehow we still have TwiTwi.

Can I write an essay for this thread also?

Honestly, I defended this card to an extent, and I know it may sound really stupid at first sight, but I was being devil's advocate by pointing out that it was by default a -1 that forced you to rely on your Pendulum Summon to bring them back, leaving you open to Solemn Strikes and interactions by the opponent. If it didn't have the 3-4 effects it would've been honestly fine.

As for the Pendulum Mirror? I liked Wavering Eyes Wars.

It's not a good or bad ban. It's a matter of perspective. Hit the searcher or hit the power card

OCG went for the power card, with the one card Scale in Monkey gone, and subsequently WE has faded out of the main and is now used as a side vs the Odd-Eyes Majespecter deck

TCG wanted to lower the power of the top deck, but keep the existing leadership intact, so they left monkey at 1

Could I get a list/screenshot of that Odd-Eyes Majespecter Deck?

As for Wavering Eyes: Some people are satisfied with this ban and some aren't. And I could understand either.

These three are post TDIL

I don't get how people come to the conclusion that either wavering or Chicken game are "the problems" in this deck

And I don't get how Majespecter can be in the name when there's only six at best.

Also: If I remember well, it's because you end up cutting down/thinning your Deck size.

6/40=15% that's pretty significant to me, but call it whatever pleases you ^_^

Were you looking for a pure Majespecter deck? Cause that happens a bit too.

Guess all I'm saying is that Monkey is relatively more degenerate than Wavering in my eyes.

But I honestly don't know if people would even run Monkey if it were legal seeing that people aren't even running the single Sorc they can.

I mean, running triple terraforming without the chicken games is just garbage, so.

The reason Chicken Game is mentioned (not as an issue, but as a pre-emptive smack o nthe wrist) is because, especially in TCG minds, it makes the access to Sky Arc much more realistic.

Kirin is also a mediocre TCG card, given Kozmo's constant appearance.

Yeah, like I said in the banlist topic, I don't think Life Equalize vs Games or Monkey vs Eyes is that big of a fault on either list. It all depends on what they don't want to see in the future.

Personally think, if you put a gun my head, that Monkey is more degenerate at 1 than a limited Eyes, clearly Kevin Tewart disagrees.

Edit: You have a point on Kerin vs Kozmo, but I'd think the match-up would be even'ed out by the existence of Ariadne grabbing counter traps and bounce back on the pilots.

Regardless, the only way Wavering is good vs Kozmo is if you resolve eff 3, which solemnly strikes me as unlikely

I'd call it clusterfuck, but to each their own.

Wait; pure Majespecter is still relevant?

I could see it either way, really.

Most people who used Chicken Game activate it and then replace it with Kozmotown or Sky Arc. How does it usually go competitively?

Kirin is also a mediocre TCG card, given Kozmo's constant appearance.

What is most effective against the Machine-Type monsters once their on the field?

Regardless, the only way Wavering is good vs Kozmo is if you resolve eff 3

In other scenarios, it also helps get rid of pesky back row and boss monsters.

which solemnly strikes me as unlikely

I see what you did there.

I'm mainly going to miss minimal bricking in Brilliant Madolche. I basically decided to jam Reasoning, E-Telly, and Chicken Game into it to make it faster the other day, knowing they would all get hit.

I can kind of make sense of these hits, but I don't know if I'm ready for a PKBA/Monarch format, since those will be easily the best decks.

I used to think this card was a very nice boon card for Pendulums, and was a good counter cool against rivaling Pendulums. Then it dawned after painful Pendulum mirrors that this card is complete evil as the eyes on it.

Degenerate advantage card that can potentially give more than it is a negative advantage with the scale pop...with the release with Monkeyboard, the tolerance for this can't be anymore kept since killing 2 useless fodder scales into an insta-scale pair from Monkey is horrendously dumb.
