1 "Gem-Knight" monster + 1 LIGHT monster // Must first be Fusion Summoned with the above Fusion Material Monsters. During your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon/Set 1 monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.)

Hello, fine peoples! I wanted to start a kind of series looking at cards/game mechanics and speculate how it'd affect the game if they were changed slightly.

So, for this, here's the discussion point: What if this card required a DARK monster instead of a LIGHT monster as its second material?

Then how could Gem-Knights actually Fusion Summon this? There is Crystal Rose for a reason.

They tech literally any DARK monster? That's kinda missing the point, but for your peace of mind, say that Crystal Rose became DARK as well.

I never really understood why this was a Fairy.

Gems are Rock, while Constellars are a mixed bag of Types.

Though, My guess is it has something to do with the fact Lazuli is a girl, and Fairy was always implied to be feminine, while also having an implied LIGHT aspect to it.

.....

I don't know, I'm literally guessing.

Zombies would immediately get a newfound life based on this card alone if this thing requires a DARK. Got damn, all the combos you could do. You could also do all sorts of stupid sheet with Zephyros. In fact, Zephyros would probably get banned. Really, it would make the Gem Knight engine even more dangerously splashable then it is rn. Phantom Knights actually seems not bad with it even, send Silent Boots. Lots of crazy possibilities really tbh.

I'm personally kinda grateful it requires LIGHT and not DARK.

Also this is ironically not very good in its on deck.

it is by virtue of Amber.

You have Crystal Rose and Lady Diamond to access it, and it enables you to field multiple Roses/Armadillos in a turn.

You only run 1, but it's definitely good.
