Magical Fiend of Death, Deathly Fiend of YMC, some other s*** names, Daemon. We talked on Skype for a couple of months. Eh, this is the only time I don't feel okay with being remembered. s***.

Ah I do remember that name actually. Also I think you're still on my contact list.

That's Dae, but yeah that Black.

OCG is hard to accept at first I guess. Most people who play it enough enjoy it. Guess it's just not for everyone.

I imagine OCG is a better format for those who play on DN since you have a larger card pool, and a glance tells me they actually have a pretty cool banlist.

My interest lies in things I can share with a group that is into the competitive scene.

IMO is IS a better banlist and I play it almost exclusively. It's high risk high reward. And a lot more testing of a player than forgiving TCG. Sucks to play OCG on DN cause they ignore our banlist exists and trolls in unlimited stuff 3 painful into everything

But if you're interested, I'd be down to play sometime

You might just be the revitalization TCG/OCG has been needing recently haha

well I certainly don't mind looking at OCG stuff when its coming around to the TCG soonish.

Also yeah, YCM used to have a pretty eager community for the actual game. DGz is a shithole now because a lot of the good players just opt to not openly discuss things anymore, and much of the discussion now is based on how to more accurately follow builds that are topping recently or some form of pseudo-scientific approach to playing the game that involves trivial matters like what kind of mat you use to play at a tournament.

I think if the community opened itself up more to a more serious look at the game I think it can offer some creative minds.

A lot of the people from what I can tell started taking on side-games more/less.

Either Cardfight Vanguard or Magic: The Gathering seem the biggest.

So it's possible a lot of people found they prefer those so they don't spend as much time on YGO.

I would support a more serious attitude towards all games, not just yugioh. When CFV was becoming popular on this board, I remember the quality of contributions to be similar to those made in yugioh. That said I think a lot can be done about the attitude and methodology used in handling any of the card games people are interested in here to make YCM respectable.

Lol. People have gotten funking lazy with card games, and only look at what exists in front of them, what they care about. The mindset here has become defeated, trying to promote all kinds of game play while defeating the idea of going farther than just playing the game. The people who want to play the game well want everything handed to them, without putting in the work to do anything more other than learn the surface knowledge there.

Tbf members like Kaiji actually go really deep in learning the metagame and advanced lines of play.
