Lmao, why the funk did they hit Mystik Wok of all things

No Raigeki is alright, because that means rogue doesn't auto-lose.

 

Started to get confused why Kozmos and Kaiju are banned, then realized it was because they're TCG.

 

They banned a ton of stupid stuff, though. No idea why blood mefist is on the list when pretty much no one has it and it's never been a threatening card.

 

Also, Blue-Eyes will win, seeing that nothing big was hit on their end.

Limiter Removal Macro something-or-other loop?

There was a way to get a 1000000+ ATK Beaver Warrior or something, so maybe they don't want people to gain too many LP from a disgusting combo.

Although, tbh, if you can gain enough LP to resist KOs, you deserve it.

Why have they banned all of the things that happen to give lifepoints?

 

Is there some unique OTK I've never heard off, Aroma being the best deck, or them being that paranoid of games stalling out due to LP gain?

 

LP Gain is a shitty/rude strategy anyway, and it's not like anyone was really using them, so they probably thought the latter.

The WCS, like most YCS's, operate on a time-limit for its rounds, and the rules for a time-up is typically that the player with the most LP will win that round. It's something involving that, anyways. In a normal YCS this isn't a problem because stall/LP-Gain decks suck in the face of full meta decks. But this is basically a rogue tournament, so random stall/LP-Gain Decks that focus on basically forcing the time-up while having the most LP become extremely trolly.

I am puzzled by some cards banned in the list that I have yet to see do anything crazy or concerning. They did explain Scapeghost at the top of the document, but I mean Kachi Kochi Dragon, even Shogi Rook are there. Why? What am I missing?

And I suppose Troposphere is there because it was released in Shonen Jump magazines? Don't tell me there actually is a crazy combo involving it.

I think it might be due to the fact that it isn't legal everywhere due to it being a SJ card.

As disgusting as that sounds, it also makes sense given events normally have time limit for rounds.

Infernity aren't really worth it with what they have left, even if this lets Launcher be used......

 

Trains don't have access to three critical cards for the deck....

D/D or Red-Eyes? Or maybe Rainbow Neos?

-2 pantheism is enough to make the deck unplayable, considering 3 is enough to make it sacky.

 

Worlds will be only blue-eyes.

trade pantheism for trade-in and left arm offering maybe? as soon as you get off one or two edea effects/tribute summons, you should already be in a good spot.

The LP Gain cards are banned merely to prevent stalling the game. Primarily, if a match were to go into time and you had to go through a 3-round match procedure, within 3 turns the highest LP player wins that game, so if players anticipate that they can steal a game by just having a lot of life then that huge hurdle makes it so that they win without working too hard. 

 

This list however, seems very OCG favored towards things like D/D and Blue-Eyes. Blue-Eyes definitely going to wreck some sheet. Domain Monarchs might show; if it's only a Pantheism hit it's somewhat okay. PK Fire is also somewhat viable.
