US Trump Administration Discussion Thread

gdi trump.

There was a reason that people protested this. Natives have been sh!t on enough already, do we really need to potentially pollute more of their sites? Honestly, if trump doesn't go down in history for all of this bad sh!t I would be surprised.

More likely he'll go down for the cheaper gas prices and the jobs a pipeline would create

As much as that's a good thing, it's bad that it comes at the price of a minority's well-being. Natives of all people deserve to not be shat on because of how much they've had to endure.

Did Keystone even have anything to have with Natives? I thought the GOP tacked a abortion bill in it, and Obama had to veto it

Edit:

Also, being less reliant on Saudi Oil is good for America, and it's good to strengthen our bond with our northern neighbor.

The pipeline was going to go through native territory without consulting of natives from what I recall. Not only that but the way they were planning on making the pipeline would have lead to potential pollutants being leaked into said native territory. Something along those lines. If the pipeline and keystone were separate things than i'm not knowledgeable enough on them to make a statement, but from what I can tell the pipeline and keystone are the same.

Ah. Still, the DA is bad because native's don't need more sh!t to deal with.

Keystone I'm not so sure about because most people with qualms about it are environmental, and while I do like the environment, I'm more versed in social justice.

National Security FBI reviewed Flynn’s calls with Russian ambassador but found nothing illicit. Last member of the Trump team that was being investigated. Wonder what the next tinfoilery might be? Maybe Director Comey and the FBI are working for Putin too

Is this a negotiation that makes you feel better? We get the jobs! We get the US steel. And we're not on native land

Yes, actually.

But there's no need to be all passive-aggressive or w/e it's called with the "better" at the end. Honestly you could've just posted the pic with maybe maybe something like "In regards to that"

It's not you that made me feel this way, there's just so many ignorant and closed minded people on twitter that I'm all riled up for no reason so please don't take the above comment too hard.

No worries, I was genuinely curious of that update would help alleviate some of your concerns on the matter

Merged the threads on the pipelines and Michael Flynn into this one. Might merge more into this, since the threads are directly discussing the actions of the Trump administration. Here are the links if you want to see the initial posts on those discussions:

The Dow Jones is at 20,000 after being at like 19,300 when Obama left. Trump's contributed a rise of 300 in a week or so (I've no idea how singificant that rise is, only that Obama went from like 9000 to that 19000 in his term.

Krugman's article is poorly timed, and obviously false from that little excerpt you showed us, but it's also possible the market rise remains an aftereffect of the Obama adminstrations efforts rather than Trump's efforts thus far. I'd wager that's probably even because few if any of Trump's changes have been there for a long enough time to effect markets.
