[Serious] New Year's Resolution in relation to this site and YGO

I've been on this site for some time, and honestly, it hasn't been all that great. I was that person that was just there, doing random s*** I thought was funny or intriguing. This site was really a dumping ground for me, where I would do stupid s*** that I would never do anywhere else. I've also recently quit YGO because of the direction it's been heading, as well as a lack of motivation to actually improve my technical play or deckbuilding. I never considered myself a good player to begin with; I never did anything creative or innovative, and I was mostly leeching off everyone else playing the game, but the simple idea of improving myself as a player was what kept me in the game and this forum. Now, I don't know anymore. This site reminds me of Reddit where I post random shitposts every once in a while and I never actually post anything constructive anymore.

So, starting from now I'm going to stop being a shitposter and actually post constructive content. Maybe that sounds retarded to some of you here who live off funny content or Armz-level memes or those of you who want this place to be a s*** hole, but I think I've had enough of being a shitposter. I actually want to be mature for once, and maybe I'll get back into the game when I find the motivation to, who knows.

you could also just pick up another game if ygo still isn't your cup of tea, there's plenty of other games people play here that you can get good at to be constructive with too.

Continuing off of this, Cardfight, Hearthstone, MTG, and Pokemon all have a decent following on the site, though HS is probably the worst of those to be invested in, at present.

Not to mention Pokemon, fighting games, and so on.

Or writing.

There's a lot you could get into.

You don't need to assume a roll when you get into the site, you know? You can goof off when you feel like it and be serious when you feel like it so don't stress yourself over something like that.

As said in above posts, you can always get into other games. I personally have it as a hobby to go learn the basics of any card games out there, because I like card-making more than the IRL game these days. It's a weird relationship where I really like the game's bases/mechanics to play around with, but I dislike the card pool that's made it accelerate to the level it has.
