Pay LP in increments of 2500: For each increment of LP paid, banish 1 card on the field face-down, then discard 1 card.

 

(For that Dark World support, yo)

 

Legacy support for a random normal monster than a minor character used in the Duel Monsters anime.

Hidden Barrage

Quick-Play Spell

If your opponent activates a monster's effect, or an effect that targets a monster(s) on the field: Special Summon 1 "Launcher Spider" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. Banish this card when it leaves the field. You can only activate 1 "Hidden Barrage" per turn.

 

Free Machine from nowhere is still a free Machine from nowhere. You can even chain it to Ash Blossom, to make it impossible to negate! Is it worth anything? Not . . . particularly, no.

 

Make something that would be really good in one of the anime, but is obvious casual bait/maybe good in like one Deck IRL.

Number C39: Utopia Beyond Star Ray

Rank 7 / LIGHT / Warrior / Xyz / Effect

 

3 Level 7 LIGHT monsters

If this card is Xyz Summoned: The ATK of all monsters your opponent currently controls become 0, and for each monster whose ATK is reduced this way, you gain 1250 LP. Cannot be destroyed or returned to the Extra Deck by card effects. During either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 "Utopia" monster from your GY, and if you do, you can attach up to 2 monsters from your GY to the Summoned monster as an Xyz Material.

 

3500/3000

 

Yuma would totes topdeck a Numeron Force and use it on Utopia Beyond to get this sheet. Would be fun in casuals tho for sure.

 

Next: A Number C monster for a forgotten Number monster that no-one in their right mind would ever run.

Number C44: Space Pegasus

LIGHT - Rank 5 - Beast/Xyz/Effect - 2300/2100

3 Level 5 monsters

Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls: Your opponent must pay 1000 LP, or banish that monster. If your opponent pays LP: You gain LP equal to half the LP paid. If this card was Summoned using a "Rank-Up-Magic" card targeting "Number 44: Sky Pegasus", it cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, except by battle with or the effects of "Number" Xyz monsters.

 

The best thing I have to say about this is winning in time, or your opponent losing something if they've already been bullied aggressively low.

 

Make another "Dawnslayer" card, as described at the top of this page and the bottom of the last one.

Next: An Xyz or Link monster for an archetype that focuses on monster levels fairly heavily.

Connector Synchron

Rank 3 | LIGHT | Warrior | Link | Effect

3 Level 4 or lower monsters

Once per turn, you can increase the level of every monster this card points to by an amount up to the number of cards in your hand. Monsters from the Extra Deck cannot be Special Summoned to a zone this card points to, except Synchro Monsters.

2400/ RANK-3

 

Not sure if Synchron count as an archetype like this, but it's the best I could think of to boost the thread. Plus, this card is not really worth playing - it's best to just use the initial material to Synchro Summon.

 

Next: A Trap that activates when your LP drop below 100.

Beginner's Luck

Spell Card

If your LP are exactly 8000: Discard 1 card, then declare the name of 1 monster; add that monster from your deck to your hand.

 

Useful if you draw it to start, and designed to replicate characters in the anime getting just the card they need. Useless in practically any other situation.

 

Next: A Specific Counter to 1 card.

Mirrored Mirrors

TRAP/Counter

When your opponent activates "Mirror Force": Negate it effect, then banish that card, also destroy all attack position monsters your opponent controls. "Mirror Force" cannot be activated for the rest of the duel.

 

Smh it doesn't even counter all the different Mirror Forces. Ah well.

 

Next: I'm pretty sure Dododo monsters are the definition of pack filler. So make one of those.

When this card is targeted for an attack: Negate the attacking monster's effect until the end of this turn, even if this card leaves the field.

If 2 or more cards on the field are destroyed at the same time: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, but it cannot be used as material for a Synchro Summon this turn.

Not for an archetype per se, but it definitely doesn't help Akiza's Deck. Probably has more use in a Rank 1 Xyz Deck than anything. Stats are Black Rose's with a 0 lopped off the end. Made to synergize with Black Rose, but doesn't even really do a good job of that.

Trap Card

When an opponent's monster declares an attack, and you have a monster equipped with a Spell Card: At the resolution of this card,  end the Battle Phase.

 

Does anyone use Equip Spells any more? In any case, the idea is that the monster "puts on a show" with their weapon, which would be a fantastic visual display in the anime/mange, but just results in a vaguely good card. Maybe if you (for some reason) ran Power Tool / Life Stream?

 

Next: A coin flip effect, where the good result is alright, but the bad result is crushing

When this card is activated: Toss a coin and gain the appropriate effect.
● Heads: You can Normal Summon/Set Level 5 or higher monsters without Tributing. Any of your effects that require Tribute Summoning instead activate upon Normal Summon.
● Tails: Your Level 5 or higher monsters require 1 additional Tribute to be Normal Summoned or Set. Your monsters that Tribute to Special Summon themselves require 1 additional Tribute to be Special Summoned. Any of your effects that require a Tribute(s) as a cost require 1 additional Tribute to activate. Your Level 3 and 4 monsters must now be Normal Summoned by Tributing 1 monster as a Tribute Summon.

Next Card: We already have a Sword of Ace (or Ace of Sword, in the anime). Now, with the same conditions as before, make another Minor Arcana-themed Spell/Trap that has a decent Heads effect, but a devastating Tails effect.

Roll a die: discard that number of cards from your hand (your entire hand, if you roll higher). Then, draw 2 cards.

 

You have a 2/3 chance of losing hand advantage with this. It's not the worst, but it's bad.

This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card, "Life Force Offering." If your LP is a multiple of 1500: Monsters you control cannot be destroyed by card effects. At the End Phase of a turn where your LP is under 1500: Send this card to the GY.

 

Good protection... that goes away as soon as you take any damage that isn't exactly 1500. And the obligatory Ritual Spell:

This card is used to Ritual Summon "Life Force Guardian". You must also Tribute monsters whose total Levels equal 6 or more from the field or your hand.

 

Next: A card that's only useful if you have a specific number(s) of cards in your deck.

Dark Magical Meld

Continuous Spell Card

Fusion Monsters that list "Dark Magician" or "Dark Magician Girl" as a Fusion Material cannot leave the field, except by battle.

 

This feels like it's almost usable. Key word being almost. Add in a little back-up effect for when it gets destroyed, make it a little broader, you might be onto something.

 

Next: Link 1 with a forward pointing arrow.

Seriously, Reptiles are not that good.

 

Tuner for a Link archetype (like what Crusadia Arboria is for Crusadia).

When a Link Monster's effect is activated that targets this face-up card on the field (Quick Effect): You can destroy this card, then banish 1 card from your opponent's hand, face-down. During the End Phase, if this card is in the GY because it was destroyed on the field by battle or card effect and sent there this turn: You can Special Summon 1 "Rokket" monster from your Deck, except "Calibrokket Dragon". You can only use each effect of "Calibrokket Dragon" once per turn.

 

And there's your answer for how Revolver is summoning his new boss (I suppose...)

LIGHT - Level 8 - Psychic/Effect - 800/3000

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. If 3 or more Psychic-Type monsters leave the field simultaneously: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then increase this card's ATK by half the combined ATK of the monsters that left the field. At the start of the Damage Step, if this card attacks a monster that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, and you control no other monsters: This card gains ATK equal to half the ATK of the attack target, also the attack target's effects are negated. Up to twice per turn, after this card attacked, you can banish 3 Psychic-Type monsters from your Graveyard: This card's ATK is increased by 800, also it can declare an additional attack this turn.
