Garnet left the cabin, sounding rather foul-mouthed. How could Furnoose have lost the money? It wasn't possible at all; surely such a big lump of money couldn't escape his notice. Unless...

 

"That bookies is done for," said a voice just nearby, who happened to be out of view. Garnet froze; surely that voice wasn't ... it couldn't be ... "As long as they can't find the cash, we'll be in business. And when we defeat Garnet in a duel ... you can be reunited with your dear friends."

 

"I don't think 'dear' is the right words ... more, my colleagues. We just don't happen to ... aah ... get along," said another voice. Garnet froze again; it was impossible, this was just a ploy ... but the voice ... how? Keeping as quiet as she could she dashed away, back to the cabin.

Lucy was skipping along the grounds, bored as hell because of her being ignored by everyone. It made her feel a little bit bad about herself, but she managed to place a warm smile upon her face, despite this. Her hair kept blowing over her face, but this time she made no attempt to place it away. She just let it be, knowing that she was one of the kinder of all of the students that she had once called "friends".

Lucy spotted Luke on his way to make a tunnel by the tide. "Hey Luke, what ya doin?" Lucy asked in a rather annoying voice, running over to Luke as she spoke. As soon as she got over, she beamed at him, her hair looking a mess from how much the wind had blown it. "You look lonely... Wherever your going, can I come as well?"

"Oh, I wish! Wait... Did I say that out loud!?" Lucy asked herself, before her cheeks turned a light red, her hands covering her mouth to stop herself from revealing to much. After a few moments, she uncovered her mouth. "P-please dont tell anyone! I'm made fun of for being one of the youngest duelists as it is! Please dont!" Lucy pleaded, her hands clasped together in a begging gesture.

He smiles "Oh come on, i can keep a secret, you can trust me, i won't tell anyone" He then returns to digging, but his smile fades "You know, Ryu's in a bit of trouble right now, and I wasn't able to save him, you might have a chance with him if you managed it..." he looks up and smiles as if to say: Give it a go, who knows, he might fall for you if you save him

Lucy nodded her head as Luke smiled at her and knelt down onto her knees, helping him dig a hole to say thank you. She noticed that a card from her deck had fallen into the hole and reached in to get it, quickly placing it back into her deck as she found out what card it was. Afterwards, Lucy continued to help Luke dig the hole with her hands, occassionaly checking her hands to see how much sand she had got on her hands in the process.

Garnet teleported to the cabin and found everybody sitting down, panicking over the money. "Guys!" said Garnet. "I know who's behind all this! That rich Obelisk purposely stole the money!" She repeated the conversation. "I know it was his voice."

 

"So he did it..." began Greg.

 

"To steal my cards, exactly," answered Garnet. She sat down. "We've got to think how to do this."

"Dont worry Luke... I'll make sure he comes back safe and sound... You have my word..." Lucy said, gently holding Luke's hand to reassure him before going back to digging in the hole. She tried not to make eye contact with Luke or else she would burst into tears as well, knowing that she was to soft for her own good.

Lucy takes the pendant off of Luke gently so that she didn't hurt him. She then placed it around her neck to make Luke happier. "Thanks Luke..." Lucy said cheerfully, before helping Luke continue to dig out some more of the sand to create his hole. She wondered why Luke was making a hole in the first place, but found it better to not question what Luke was doing.

Lucy smiles at Luke before returning to her digging. "I wonder if there will be something valuable or exciting in here... Cause not many people actually check..." Lucy said to Luke at a random point in time as she continued to dig up the sand with her hands. She was still smiling her cheerful smile, her hair occassionaly falling over her eyes as she bent down to get a better grasp at the sand below.

"Yeah, seems like the right time to take a break." Lucy said, moving over to where Luke layed and knelt down beside him. "I feel like dueling... Wanna have a duel, buddy?" Lucy asked, taking out her deck and placing it in her duel disk so that she was ready for a yes. "Please?" Lucy was continously smiling at Luke as she spoke, seeming exceedingly happy.

"Ok then! I'll start with... Hmmmm... Shining Angel in face-up attack position, then a face-down! Let's see what you got Luke!" Lucy said. As she finished speaking, the hologram of Shining Angel and the face-down card appeared in front of Lucy.

"Dont think so, Luke! I'll activate Threatening Roar this time so that even if you cant destroy my monster by battle this turn!" Lucy said cheerfully, a wide smile upon her rather well built face. A roar was heard after the activation of the card.
