OOC: I know what the lords are derived from, Duke just didn't know what Barbamon and Belphemon were derived from.

 

Duke looked at the box as well and frowned. 'Would you put it past the ancient ones to be using the spirit as one of the mediums needed to speak?' he inquired. 'The great spear is obviously the biggest, otherwise, it would've been called a great spear Mistymon' he thought darkly. 'Well, would I just need to scan to extrac the spirit?'

[Blackstone Dresden]

"DigiSoul parachute, no problem" Liya said grinning "Hurry up BG!" she shouted, patting the dragon on the head

 

"Because, only a nature or insectoid Digimon can touch the Key of Nature, as Arbormon I would have only a thin layer of wood between the DigiMemory and the gears in Arbormon's arms"

"This is getting us nowhere" Marcus said, blocking the Devi Claw with his horns, which he now held in his hand "Do you really want to be in charge of one-fourth of the militant humans here?" He asked "Or would you rather leave it to the top ranked fourth class cadet currently enrolled at the United States Military Academy at West Point?"

"Alright, if you insist, we're here!" Vincent announced as BlackWarGrowlmon reached a spot just above the Digi-Marine Air Fleet, "Lower down a litte, then we'll drop Liya off and go start our 'distraction'!"

"Got it!" BlackWarGrowlmon confirmed before reducing his altitude slightly to make it easier for Liya to get off.

 

"Huh. I guess that makes sense..." Keila said before she saw Sal change into Grumblemon.

Seeing him go over to check his reflection, Keila took the chance to sneak up on him. Once she was directly behind him, she suddenly yelled out.

"HEY! Is that your Human Spirit Form Sal?"

Liya smiled "Well here it goes" The Spanish girl said, stepping off BlackWarGrowlmon and onto a DigiSoul platform, that immediately shot straight down, taking her to the top of the Gungnir in just under five seconds. About ten or twelve seconds after she crawled inside the ship, a voice rang out in Vincent's head, signaling him to begin the preliminary battle of Operation: Minotaur

 

Zehn sighed and picked up the DigiMemory "Note to self: Execute the gardener" he muttered, walking over to PawnChessmon and Gururumon

Seeing Liya land on the ship safetly, Vincent signaled BlackWarGrowlmon to move to the front of the fleet. A few moments later, a flying cybernetic dragon was hovering in front of the lead ship of the Digi-Marine Fleet.

"Alright, light 'em up BlackWarGrowlmon!" Vincent cried out.

"With pleasure! Radiation Blades!"

BlackWarGrowlmon brought his arms close into his chest as they charged with energy before swinging his arms outward, sending two powerful energy blades soaring through the sky towards the Digi-Marine ship immediatly in front of the one they had dropped Liya off on.

[Mr. Hyde]

Aero was flying in the air with Zach, Lance, and Gizamon all on her back. Lance spoke. "So you're telling me...that you are trying to be good." Zach nodded.

"You also might want to fortify a place called the Labrynth." Lance nodded back.

"I'll report it to the commander as soon as possible. Aero landed on the top of the Gungir where they went inside. Zach laughed.

"It's better than the cave i was in i guess."

Alex wandered around the cave. "So...you're a digimon. A creature who can become stronger by digivolving if i use this doohickey here right?" Armadillomon nodded.

"Yup!" Alex nodded as well.

"Soooo...what do we do first?"

Upon hearing this, Daniel stopped the match.

"Why didn't you say so?!? You're in!!!"

Meanwhile the Searchmon and Lee followed the dragon as they still had to convince Zach to join. "You sure that you don't wanna join Huanglongmon buddy? I mean you don't exactly need to take orders or anything it just gives you the ability to not be killed by him." Lee landed on top of Gungnir as well and attempted to sneak in hastily after the two brothers as Searchmon de-digivolved into Wormmon and hopped onto its Tamer's back. "Uhh pardon me gentlemon but can you happen to let me into this area?" asked Lee to a couple of Commandramon outside the entrance.

[Mr. Hyde]

Lance nodded his head. The commandramon lifted up there guns, granting passage. Zach sighed. "Yeah...i guess i am going to join your side. So i can destroy all those idiots." Lance laughed.

"Thats the spirit bro!" Gizamon and Aero were standing right beside eachother, introducing themselves.

"Hi. I'm Aero, the Veemon!"

"Awww...I'm Gizamon, and i don't have a name..Zaaaaccchhh! why don't i have a name!"

"I never thought about it before. Gizamon, you are hereby granted the name of....Terra." Gizamon hopped up and down.

"YAAYY!!"

[spoiler= You know, I hate it when people confuse a good fight with Powerplaying.]

((Not winning either. Sal(2) isn't a digisoul-powered copy' date=' he's a direct clone, same abilities and power as the original- including ridiculous control over his ordinary sized Digisoul, hence the sword. All I've done so far is-

1- stop Beamspam with a Barrier- at one point, the barrier causing obvious physical exhaustion to the Digimon, whereas the one who fired the attack didn't show anything beyond boredom in releasing it.

2- channel an attack into a sword- the ONLY attack I've ever used.

 

You should recall that Sal is absolutely insane and riddled with personality flaws. According to Gururumon, he was specifically chosen- one has to take into account that if someone that flawed was STILL chosen, there must be a reason for that, and ways that he makes up for it otherwise. In this case, it would be cunning in tricky situations, ridiculously high control over his Digisoul and other forms of power, and an unpredictability that makes him difficult to fight.

Secondly, though I haven't shown it yet, Sal(2) has the Beast Spirit of Earth. Even when unspiritificated, he gains a Digisoul boost from that, and the ability to channel power better. Hence, the barriers set up by DemiDevimon are actually three layered- the first by Demidevimon, a second from Sal's personal digi-power, and a third of Digisoul.

 

One has to keep in mind that the Lasers are HOMING - an attack that cannot be dodged has to take hits to other areas to avoid being overpowered. In this case, one would assume that if you can't avoid them, then they probably aren't as strong as a normal Perfect-level attack. This is supported by the fact he can shoot these off machine-gun style without any particular amount of effort. In fact, one would assume that being able to machine-gun release homing lasers that would each be able to punch holes through a human opponent who is used to fighting those stronger than him, is defensive-based and has developed a fairly powerful shield, and is inspired to fight back against someone who appears to want to KILL him-

that in fact, now that I figure it, I may be UNDER powering Sal(2), considering I haven't had him Spirit Morph OR digivolve his partner yet, despite everyone else being able to.

 

In short, I disagree with your summerization that I'm Power Playing, and you seem to forget that raw Power doesn't necessarily denote who wins a fight.))[/b']

 

 

 

 

"Mhm." Sal crossed his arms and nodded. "Well, that would sound logical. Wait, why were we fighting?" he said with a pause. Demidevimon blinked and whispered in his ear.

 

"Oh, right! You were going to cut me open with a scalpel, Mister Sociopath!" he said, theatrically pointing at the Biomerged human. "And then you were going to kill me for having DemiDevimon for a partner! That part was both racist AND sociopathic!" he added, finger wavering slightly.

 

He stuck his nose in the air and huffed. "I'm not going anywhere until I get an apology to both me and my partner for being discriminated against by a member of the military. If I recall, you guys still have to follow these things called 'laws' when dealing with civilians."

 

He paused for a couple seconds, then looked thoughtful.

 

"Wait, West Point military academy? sounds familiar..." he paused for a couple seconds. "I think that would be one of the Academies my father donated a huge sum of money too... Yeah, shouldn't that one have an Oriseth wing, or Oriseth Chamber, or something like that?"

 

Demidevimon blinked and flapped his wings a little unsurely, hopping over to Sal's other side and away from the Biomerged human, evidently not trusting the ceasefire.

Sal jumped about ten feet after hearing someone yell next to him (Though that would be hyperbole- he only jumped about five, due to Grumblemon's enhanced leg strength."

 

He adjusted himself, and cleared his throat awkwardly. "Uh, yeah. I guess it would be." he said with a hint of bashefulness, before walking over to the tree that had given him so many problems before. He bent the large plant forwards, grabbed an armful of the coconuts with his free hand before allowing it to snap back, a bit of a permanent bend in it now.

 

"There we go!" he said cheerfully, dropping his cargo of Coconuts.

 

Gururumon stretched and raised an eyebrow as she saw Zehn pick up the Digimemory. "So, I assume Humans can pick them up unhindered then?" she asked quite unnecessarily, already having known the answer.

Mistymon paused, and stroked his chin. "No...I doubt it would work like that. See, the box itself isn't the magical part of it. The box there is just the focal point of the entire Citadel... the entire building is powered by..."

 

He paused as there was a shift. He glanced around at the pillars of the room- all nine of them, as an apparent statues came to life. Nine shadows crossed the floor and glanced upward, rising as their forms became evident; strange, cloaked beings of darkness, emerging from a book.

 

"Greetings. We are the Nine." one of the Wisemon, the one in front.

"The Nine that were chosen to Guard Witchelny in AncientWisemon's absense, and with his departing, granted a fragment of his power."

"Humans, Spirit Warriors or otherwise, have no elemental inclination whatsoever" Zehn explained "As far as the DigiMemories are concerned, we may as well be tables with legs" he smiled "Though I suspect you already knew that and were only asking for Sal's benefit"

 

"I would have said something, I just thought that this kid would be more of a pushover than an annoying psychopath" Marcus said, dropping down to his human form, BladeKuwagamon still on his wrist "So I didn't mention it until I got bored"

"Heh, well that's funny." Keila said after Sal's reaction to her surprising him, "Well it's a pretty interesting form. Oh, and I want another coconut too!" She said, rushing up to where Sal was with the coconuts.

PawnChessmon meanwhile walked up to Zehn.

"So how many of these Digi-Memory things are there anyway?" She asked, "And do you know where the other ones are?"

"There are Eight of them, corresponding to the 8 types of Digimon in the world: Dark, Light, Dragon, Beast, Bird, Machine, Water, and Nature" Zehn explained "You're a Machine, Gotsumon's a Nature, Gururumon's obviously a Beast, etc." He looked down at the DigiMemory again and sighed "The only one that's active right now is the Dark one"

[Hydra of Ages]

Sal crossed his arms as he watched the BladeKuwagamon-armed human, his sword disappearing a flurry of Digisoul.

"You know, maybe that Military Academy of yours should have focused more on the, you know academics. The 'Psychopathy' mental disorder is reserved for those who lack empathy, not people who act strangely or flamboyantly. Considering you seemed to want to kill me at several points, I think I'd avoid calling kettles black, Pot. Also, I'm the same age as you and legally an adult, so stop calling me kid, Kid."

Demidevimon shifted awkwardly and glanced around, obviously not particularly liking how his Master was antagonizing someone with a sword.

Gururumon chuckled. "Slightly, yeah."

She stretched out and nodded, sitting down. "The Digimemories... I heard about them before, but I don't know too much about them. I don't think anyone does. Huanglongmon was oddly silent about details on what their purpose and use was, or why Ogudomon wants them. I can only assume it wouldn't be for any particularly good reason."

 

Sal, meanwhile, was laughing. "'Interesting?' I'm in a full suit of armor like this!" he laughed, and pounded his armored chest for a second before offering her a coconut from his palm. "Only problem is that it made my skin tone a really strange pigment for some odd reason. Dunno why. Oh, and I got these awesome tattoos-" he said, tracing the ones on his arms and across the bridge of his nose on his otherwise human face. He paused, and tapped his elflike triangular cap. "Nice hat though."

[Blackstone Dresden]

"Only Huanglongmon knows" Zehn said with a nod "All I know is that Ogudomon's pinned by 8 swords, one through each of his 7 legs and another through his chest. For every DigiMemory his followers take back, he gets that much closer to being freed." He shook his head "The only other clue I have about their true purpose is the word Neo"

 

Marcus huffed and walked over to Sal and DemiDevimon, offering Sal his left hand "Marcus" he said, flicking his head towards BladeKuwagamon "He's Blade"

[Hydra of Ages]

Sal blinked, looked at the hand for a couple seconds, then withdrew a spritzer from his clothing, disinfecting his hands thoroughly for about half a minute before returning the handshake. "Salreel Olimar Wiscowsten." he introduced himself. "Or Sal, whichever you prefer." he added, then jutted his head towards DemiDevimon. "He's Oro."

Demidevimon paused and was about to say something, when Sal cut him off. "Well, technically he doesn't have a name, but DemiDevimon's a mouthful and 'Demi' would be unoriginal. So I call him Oro."

Oro paused, then shrugged with his wings, continuing to perch on his human.

"Ogudomon's full of swords?" Gururumon said with a quirked eyebrow. "And he has seven legs? All I know about him is from textbook descriptions, and most people describing him didn't appear to have ever seen him either. But that would make sense, yeah. Hm."

 

Gururumon paused. "Well, if Ogudomon can release a sword for every Digimemory he absorbs, perhaps this Neo has something to do with his released form. I don't believe it's ever happened, even in the legends, has it?"

[Blackstone Dresden]

Marcus nodded and offered his left hand to Oro, giving the bat-like Digimon another nod "Sorry" His Digivice blinked a few times on his wrist "Blade too" he added, nodding at the sword-like Digimon on his wrist, who remained motionless throughout this whole ordeal, not even acknowledging that it was alive, let alone sentient.

 

"Seven legs, eight eyes, a saucer-shaped body, looks like Hell" Zehn said "Huanglongmon's words not mine." He then shrugged "The legends go back long before the Digimon themselves, before Huanglongmon and Ogudomon even, back to the first blip of cyberspace billions upon billions upon trillions of digital years ago, when the whole of the Digital World was created by..." He stopped talking, looked down at the DigiMemory, then at Gururumon "Gururumon, you're a genius." He said with a sad sigh "And we're all dead"

[The Warden]

Duke walked past Misty to face all of the nine Wisemon. 'As nice as it is to meet the subordinates of my spirit's predecessor, I'm afraid our time is short. I was intended by AncientWisemon to inherit his spirit, please, if you possess it, please grant me the beast spirit of steel' he begged. 'Begging, am I really sinking to that, it's so....uncouth. But I must do what I must for the greater good, I have been ignoring some uncouth antics anyways, I could just forget this in time' he thought bitterly.

[Hydra of Ages]

Gururumon blinked. "Sounds demonic. Well, at least I'll know I'm above average intelligence when I die. Why, what did you figure?"

 

Meanwhile, Sal was juddling coconuts until her eventually smacked one against a rock. He yelped a little when the milk began to run from it, and quickly tried to drink whatever he could from the cracked nut. Gururumon spared him a glance and a quiet chuckle.

 

"He's like a child, has a lot of potential and you really care about him, yet you can't take your eyes off him for longer than twelve seconds."

Oro blinked, glanced away shyly, but after a few seconds, extended his left wing and allowed the other human to shake it gently. He blinked a little at the digivice when it beeped.

 

Sal glanced at Oro. "He doesn't speak much, I'm afraid, especially not to people other than me. But I guess you know all about untalkative partners." he said with a quirked eyebrow at the sword-digimon.

The Nine Wisemon paused. "You ask a great favor of us, Human."

The leader of the Wisemon stated. "Sakkakumon is the force that bonds us. Should we relinquish the Beast Spirit of Steel, Witchelny will lose the defenses we have wrought together. The Citadel itself will be torn asunder by the raw power of the dimension. You will understand if your request gives us pause."

[Ace Daimon]

((Time to get back in the saddle...))

 

"Ma'am! We're under attack!" Lt. Asuramon cried out.

"Raise the shields, activate the point-defense guns, coordinate the fleet, and get someone out there to kick that tin can's ass!" Admiral Valkryimon, who, moments ago, was about to retire for the evening, barked.

Of course, the Pteramon squadrons were sent out first to soften up BlackWarGrowlmon.

"Alright. There's one of him, and three dozen of us! We can take him! Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie Squadrons, open fire!" the Alpha Squadron leader rallied his wingmates as they opened fire upon the monstrosity, supported by the Gungnir's point-defense batteries.

The Gungnir, being a flagship and all, had tons of bells and whistles.

Unfortunately, some of those happened to be very loud.

Such as the "state-of-the-art" sirens that really irritated you so much you wanted to plunge headfirst into combat just to get away from the noise.

The Digi-Marines decided to do just that.

"Alright. All combat pairs that can Bio-Merge, get out there. All that can't, rally at the armory and prepare for potential boarders." Commander Andrews barked over the intercom as he collected Justin.

"And if anyone ever wanted to fight a former Royal Knight, now is your chance."

[Blackstone Dresden]

"The first Digital Lifeform... the Network Enhanced Operation..." Zehn looked Gururumon straight in the eye "Ogudomon's bringing back the First God of the Digital World"

 

Daemon flew out of a Digital Gate, with Max on a DigiSoul platform immediately behind him, followed by a stream of IceDevimon and BlueMeramon "Attack!"

 

Marcus nodded at the Commander "Sir, yes sir" he said, noticing the reinforcements "Sir, multiple targets coming in, Sir. IceDevimon and BlueMeramon, one human, no friendlies in sight. Permission to engage the humans, Sir?" He asked, as Blade shot out the launch bay.

 

The bladed Digimon flew straight through a ring of data and came out a purple beetle-like monster with a snake-like tail "TyrantKabuterimon!"

OOC: You know, I am going ot have so much fun with Sakkakumon, he is apparently the strongest beast, which is a no brainer since he's so damn huge, I think he even dwarfs Belphemon.

 

Duke paused at the name. 'Sakkakumon?' he thought. He shook his head and faced them. 'I understand that the spirit is most precious to you, but you swore fealty to AncientWisemon. He intended me to have the spirit of Sakkakumon, and even though its powers bind the citadel, you can't go back on your word, as that would just shed bad light on all nine of you and discredit the words of the entirety of Witchelny, which I am certain that even Mistymon here does not want' Duke reasoned.

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

"Permission granted." Daniel replied as he prepared to Bio-Merge.

He then divided the Digi-Marines that could fly into groups.

"Team Vermillion and Cerulean, lead by Kayla and I, will take on BWGrowlmon. Teams Ruby and Cobalt, led by Alice and Garrett, will take on Daemon. Green Team, you will secure a perimeter around the fleet and pick off anyone that tries to approach the ships. Everyone else, you all go get the swarms."

"Remember, we're about an hour out from an interception fleet from the Labyrinth reaching us. We just have to hold out until they come to escort us a few more hours to get repaired."

"Move out!"

Daemon smiled as the Ruby and Cobalt teams came after him "You really think you can take me down?!" He asked "Flame Inferno!" The Demon Lord of Wrath roared, sending black flames out of his palms at the squadrons, "You think you pathetic weaklings can challenge my power?! YOU'RE NOTHING!!!"

 

Max and Marcus were going at it like a kung-fu movie, both fighters hitting each other hard and fast, matching one another blow for blow, however, it was soon apparent who had the upper hand in this match when Marcus took a bone shattering blow to the jawline and plummeted a good fifty feet until he managed to call up his DigiSoul again, and, a roar of agony and an effort of will later, Marcus shot back up, a stream of silver DigiSoul holding his jaw set in place
