El-Rrey
We have a Inferno Tempest banned, why not a Krystia??More seriously, Kristya is a quite easy to summon beastsick that can ditch a Fairy-monster from you grave to your hand in some conditions and that prevent Special Summons! Don't forget it goes to the top of the deck when it sent to the graveyard! What not to hate??
~ P O L A R I S ~
Right lol ban CyDrag but not Miracle Fusion/Dragon's Mirror/Miracle Synchro Fusion. Or Wulf. Why are you "on the fence"? Get off. Ban all other self-SSing abominations too. The Boras, the Grandmasters, the REDMDs, etc. They're abominations. Apparently. Ban Fortress but not System Down, Breath of Light, Exile of the Wicked, Last Day of Witch, Warrior Elimination, and co?

Master Hyperion
So you ban Infernity Launcher, which is a double Monster Reborn for Infernities, but you leave Infernity Mirage, which is a double Monster Reborn for Infernities, unlimited and also made Mind Control unlimited. Rhiannaers
Wow. Even with all of your bans my deck is still useable. It seems that you made some errors in your banning. Mr. Judgment Dragon
Inferno Tempest is banned so Necroface can be at 3. The way I see it, decks that can run 3 Necroface should be allowed to run 3 Necroface. Inferno Tempest is really only good for the Necromill OTK and nothing else. With Kristya, now that I think about it, Kristya does seem like a bit of a problem card. The only thing saving it is the fact it forces you to run a decent amount of Fairy Type Monsters however the Effect of it does not seem balanced compared to the Deck dedication required to use it. Not all of your so called Special Summon abominations are banworthy. Grandmaster. It requires you to run a Six Samurai Deck to be good and aside from that, it has a fair Effect. Not banworthy. REDMD. It requires you to run a Dragon heavy Deck to be playable, it is designed well since it can't interact with itself and it is just a better Gigaplant for Dragons. Not banworthy. Cyber Dragon however rewards bad play and on top of that it is a relatively splashable beatstick. Banworthy. I don't really have much of a problem with easy to summon beatsticks but when they're abominations like Dark Armed Dragon (easy to summon beatstick + instant +3 when played and the Deck dedication required to use it is a joke), Chaos Sorcerer (easy to summon, free enough once per turn removal, with the existence of Synchros and Monarchs, it is a ridiculous card to use and like Dark Armed Dragon, the Deck dedication required to use it is a joke). Do Miracle Fusion, Miracle Synchro Fusion or Dragon's Mirror reward bad play? No. They increase the playability of Decks that rely on Fusion Monsters or whatever. If there is a problem with them, the problem if anything would lie in the Fusion Monsters that they are used to Summon more than anything. As for type killers they are just that (they kill 1 type of Monster) but Chimeratech Fortress Dragon is that on top of being an easy to summon beatstick. Even with Cyber Dragon gone, you still have stuff like Proto-Cyber Dragon and Cyber Dragon Zwei that can still take advantage of Machine heavy Decks with Fortress Dragon. Agreed. Absolute Zero reigns supreme with Genex Undine abuse? Absolute Zero seems like the problem itself since it is a Raigeki with legs. Banned Absolute Zero. So you ban Infernity Launcher, which is a double Monster Reborn for Infernities, but you leave Infernity Mirage, which is a double Monster Reborn for Infernities, unlimited and also made Mind Control unlimited.Lovely. Infernity Mirage is a double Monster Reborn for Infernities that also uses up a Normal Summon unless you summon it via One for One which ironically is also a -1. Also keep in mind how Launcher interacts with Archfiend. Are either really a problem separately? No. They are however a big problem together that creates a consistent OTK so banning either 1 fixes up that problem. An archetype-specific searcher in my opinion gives more to the game than an archetype-specific double Monster Reborn. With Mind Control, it is trash unless you take into account the existence of Synchro Monsters. Wow. Even with all of your bans my deck is still useable. It seems that you made some errors in your banning.Speaking of, is this based on ATK/DEF or effects, or stars? Here's how a card would generally be classed: Forbidden 1. The card provides a big reward for too little cost. Examples: Pot of Greed, Raigeki, Monster Reborn. 2. The card facilitates 1 or more OTKs or FTKs. Examples: Exchange of the Spirit (allows easy OTKs and FTKs), Magical Explosion (allows easy OTKs and FTKs), Chimeratech Overdragon (pretty much built to OTK). 3. The card invalidates a certain playstyle of the game or way of dealing with cards that is otherwise beneficial for the game. Examples: Evil Hero Dark Gaia (makes stall tactics rather ineffective although it is questionable whether or not stall is good for the game), Stardust Dragon (continuously eliminates destroying cards by effects as an option of removal while also being a recurring 2500 ATK beatstick). 4. The card while it may be harmless on its own, it is harmful when it interacts with another card. Examples: Infernity Launcher + Infernity Archfiend (this combo while not always set off by Infernity Launcher creates a very consistent OTK. The question here would be to kill Archfiend to save Launcher or kill Launcher to save Archfiend. Since an archetype-specific searcher IMO gives more to the game than an archetype-specific double Monster Reborn which Infernities have 2 of (the other being Infernity Mirage), Infernity Launcher gets banned and Infernity Archfiend stays at 3), Gearfried the Iron Knight + Butterfly Dagger - Elma + Royal Magical Library (none of these cards are harmful separately. However together, these cards create an infinite draw loop which certainly isn't good for the game. Not to mention that Gearfried and Elma are searchable. Gearfried itself is useful as a searchable 1800 ATK beatstick that is essentially immune to Equip Spells and that comes in handy against say Mark of the Rose. Butterfly Dagger - Elma is only really useful for its combo with Gearfried. Guardian Elma which needs Butterfly Dagger - Elma is terrible so the game doesn't really lose anything without Butterfly Dagger - Elma. Royal Magical Library itself doesn't seem busted however if there is something that can rapidly give it Spell counters like Gearfried + Elma, then it is likely something else is the problem here). 5. The card is just bad for the game (case-by-case). Examples: Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End (a reset button, a rather splashable and easy to summon beatstick), Yata-Garasu (a 1-card lockdown. Essentially if your opponent has no cards to counter it, you win the duel), Gorz the Emissary of Darkness (promotes and rewards you for not maintaining a decently sized field), Victory Dragon (forces a surrender or lose the match situation and by its very effect, it allows one to win a match in 1 duel and that is certainly not good for the game). Limited A. The card while banworthy offers a benefit to the game that lets it be Limited. Examples: Heavy Storm (punishes reckless Spell and Trap overextension), Mirror Force (punishes Monster overextension). B. The card interacts with 1 or more other copies of itself in an unacceptable manner. Limiting the card allows the problem to be solved without the need for a ban. Examples: Night Assailant, Magic Cylinder. Semi-Limited X. The card interacts with 2 other copies of itself in an acceptable manner. Example: Card Trooper (Card Trooper itself isn't a problem however with the existence of Machine Duplication, Card Trooper can now interact with the other copies of itself. Semi Limiting it effectively Limits that interaction and 5 cards is better than 3 if Machine Duplication (a rather balanced card) is banned or 4 if Card Trooper is Limited and Machine Duplication is at 3). Anyway: banned Trishula and Tempest Magician (basically a walking OTK as it is).
TechnoDoomedOne
So, themed cards are less broken than their generic counterparts. Sure, let's make those Archetypes reign and ban cards that can help other Archetypes just because bad Tier 4 or lower decks can use them and they get rewarded for bad playing not having the luck to have good enough themed cards like other decks do. That's totally fair. And even within the themed cards there seems to be a hieriarchy. Why is for example banned Mezuki, who cannot resurrect anything as useful as Plague any longer and its a one-shot efect, and not Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, who can Special Summon itself and lets you Summon 1 gigantic beatstick to the field every turn? It is not because you can resurrect something with Mezuki that can kill those Dragons, that's for sure. Is it maybe because of deck dedication, or running zombies is not dedication enough? Running gigantic beatsticks that can swarm the field, abuse F.G.D. and having cards to revive the offending key card is enough dedication to not make it banworthy?
Mr. Judgment Dragon
So, themed cards are less broken than their generic counterparts. Yes in most cases and what is wrong with themed revival, balanced themed mass removal and whatnot? I do realize there are some cases where it gets taken too far (ie. Rekindling which is a 1-card OTK and Judgment Dragon which is an easy to summon beatstick and cheap field nuker). Sure, let's make those Archetypes reign and ban cards that can help other Archetypes just because bad Tier 4 or lower decks can use them and they get rewarded for bad playing not having the luck to have good enough themed cards like other decks do. That's totally fair. Said banworthy generic cards are banworthy and if a Deck needs banworthy cards to be competitive, they don't deserve to be competitive. Under this format, plenty of Decks are fairly viable. Some being more viable than others is only natural. Terrible Decks will still be terrible regardless though. And even within the themed cards there seems to be a hieriarchy. Why is for example banned Mezuki, who cannot resurrect anything as useful as Plague any longer and its a one-shot efect It is a silly and easy +1. Throw Burial from a Different Dimension in there too and it is no longer a one-shot. It becomes a very strong revival engine that can swarm the field quickly. Potentially with beatsticks. Burial from a Different Dimension has valid uses outside of this as well. Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, who can Special Summon itself and lets you Summon 1 gigantic beatstick to the field every turn? It is once per turn only and will always be once per turn only and it comes with the cost of removing from play a Dragon to summon it in the first place because one would not Tribute Summon REDMD when a better option exists. It is more how Mezuki revives the Zombies. As for REDMD, it is fair. It requires you to remove from play a Dragon to Special Summon. How is swarming the field fast when it is only once per turn? Flame Dragon
It is trash outside of Synchro usage. Why would it need list attention or is it just that? That use is a major one. When was a recurring Book of Moon with legs that uses up your Normal Summon ever in need of list attention?Lots of loops. List needs Wolf, Armor Master, FDG, and Red-Eyes Darkness. Wolf is totally luck dependent free 2100 beatstick. Armor Master is Mallon on steroids. The fact that he needs a Blackwing tuner is mute since Gale is one of the best level 3 tuner. FGD speaks for itself with Future Fusion at 3. Red-Eyes Darkness is basically Call of the Huntered that can be used over and over again, much like Faultroll only he can take a lot more monsters. Reasons for Black Rose Dragon, PSZ, and Trishula.
evilfusion
Also, you banned Neo-Daedalus, but not Levia Dragon. Granted, Neo is WAY worse in terms of power, having Chaos Emperor's effect minus burn and sparing itself, but it has difficult summoning conditions (Levia itself) and requires you to run Umi/Legendary Ocean. Levia nukes the whole field but itself (Like JD) for a small cost (a field spell), yet unlike a bunch of field nukers, this isn't banned.
