The Official Metal/Hardcore Thread

Code Orange track sounds rad, looking forward to the album.

Darkest Hour track goes pretty hard thanks to Ballou's production but it's a pretty standard hardcore track. Still interested in the album.

Oh, Sleeper alays makes the most out of their fairly generic sound with the pure vitriol and intensity making up for a lack of originality, and the new track doesn't change that. Would fit right on Endseekers.

Never have liked anything I've heard by The Unguided lol

Currently jamming some Dir en grey again

Yeah Ill be listening to the new album and hoping that they will go further with the electronics theyve added on, kinda feels subtle on their newest tracks.

Pretty much agreeing with you on the new Darkest Hour track.

Havent listened to Endseekers in a while but I dont remember many synths on it which are kinda prominent on Oxygen. Yeah I do like the new Oh Sleeper song though I actually miss what they went with on When I Am God it was actually a really good sound even if Architects did it better on Hollow Crown (and then they ditched that sound and released 2 good but nothing great albums before becoming a generic shitty djent band).

If you dont like what youve heard from The Unguided then dont listen to a full album you wont like it.

Found myself in an Industrial mood

Lol looks like the guy on the cover got SCREWED

Haven't listened to Nora much but I'll check that album. I recognize the artwork, think it's the same guy that did some Converge and In Flames album covers, among others.

Oh yeah the artwork reminds me of Come Clarity and that one Converge album with the cover version of Depeche Mode Clean, I think it was called something like The Deeper the Wound or whatever.

That album was my first time checking out Nora and it wont be the last.

Evergreen Terrace are a fun jam

Evergreen Terrace has always really reminded me of Haste the Day, at least with their latest stuff. Probably just because of the clean vocals.

Seeing these guys next month.

I always thought of them as Alexisonfire and Haste the Day mixed with the furiosity of Comeback Kid.

That band name and album art makes the band look awful

Listened to these for the first time recently

lol the album came out in 1990 so it's about what you'd expect. Album rules though, representing FL progressive death metal hard. First album has a thrash vibe as well but their 2009 album is more of a tech-death album. Both rule.

I haven't heard either of the albums you posted but I'll check them.

Alright ill trust you on Hellwitch

The Hope Conspiracy are a good old school Metalcore kinda band with more Punk to them, the album that I posted has Post-Hardcore influences withn its melodies. Never listened to anything else by them but the album is a pretty decent solid jam.

Remembering Never are a good band that sort of fall in line with bands like Poison the Well and Misery Signals however they dont go as atmospheric as either of those bands and focus more on the Hardcore elements.

Yeah I wasnt told how long I was gonna be without internet. I thought it was just go down to my step-nanny have my 2nd Christmas with my mom and then go back up to their place however it was have Christmas on New Years Day and dont go back until I needa go back to school. for fucks sake.

Been listening to Extol more again. Im actually starting to prefer The Blueprint Dives and the self-titled over Undecieved, but of course that album still rules.

2016 was great for music, hopefully this year has lots of god stuff too.

Found this band and they're really good, basically jazzy prog metal with some death metal elements. The vocalist is the guy who does the Dharmata side of the last Defeated Sanity album.

Skimmed through that Oracles album a bit, sounds alright might check the rest out later.

Spheres is a masterpiece, I like Unquestionable Presence but Elenents is 100x better.

Love the artwork for Aphyxion but I found that track to not be interesting

Since its been a long time I thought id jam an album from my good ol elementary/junior high edgelord days, dont usually post this stuff but I thought youd dig it Forest Fire.

eh. i probably would have liked it a year or two ago. not so much now.

Ah I see you have transcended with the rest of us. I actually did the same sort of thing too, used to adore Dream Theater but now I dont even look back to them.
