Through some less legal means, which I'm not proud to admit but I had to take them, I've started to watch the FUNimation dubb of Fairy Tail. Has anyone else here seen it and if so what are your thoughts? Also, what is your stance on dubb vs subb? NEVER. Sub is the best way to go, SOme animes are good/better in dubs. Well, Not some, VERY FEW, would be better. I can see why people like dub better though, They're too lazy/cant to read subtitles and watch it at the same time. Preferably though PM, Apparently, Our battles would be considered "Mini-Roleplays" and thus not allowed as a main topic. [/quote] This might be because I started out with dubbed animes but if they actually treat the source material right, I actually perfer dubbs because, atleast I tend to get a better feel for the character much faster. When in japanese it's much more difficult to tell if the character is sarcastic, if they are ironic etc. if you are listening to the voice alone, not to mention that way to many voices sound alike in japanese if you ask me. When they also keep the comedy in the same places and treat the material right, I can do nothing else than applaud their effort and give them a watch. The FUNimation dubb of Fairy Tail is actually pretty good because you can tell they put tons of effort in making it. The source material is basicly the same, the only changes that has happened to it in 24 episodes is in dialogue because a pure translation would be super iffy to try and make money of. Also, I think my love for dubbs might stem from Hellsing Ultimate, which I openly say I perfer dubbed because Alucard sounds awesome and I HATE Engrish with a passion Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
