Well, with Rulers dominating the meta (again), Mermail and Fire Fist didn't have much chance to shine, which is why they weren't killed this list. Goose Posted December 13, 2013 Author Report Share Posted December 13, 2013 FORBIDDEN: Dragon Ravine - Really big hit to straight up Dragunities, but on the same note a huge hit to Dragons. I'm in general pro, but I bet Will isn't so happy. Return from the Different Dimension - Degenerate card that just let's you win and nothing more. It's fine being gone. Self-Destruct Button - In competitive play, this card is as degenerate as any other special win condition. It's only use is stalling until time runs out then side decking into a difference kind of deck and winning in time. If you want to use it outside competitive play, the ban list doesn't matter. Sixth Sense - Potential +4/5 and even if it mills, it's often a benefit. LIMITED: Dragon Rulers - Yes. Debris Dragon - Debris Dragon has proven over and over again how strong it is. Good place for now. Magician of Faith - With a lot of the strong generic spells gone (PoG/Graceful Charity/Monster Reborn/Heavy Storm), the targets for this card are limited in the extreme. I'm excited to see where this card sees play. Divine Wind of Mist Valley - Probably deserved it, but I loved making insane plays with this and Ancient Fairy Dragon. Final Countdown - Putting this to 1 is basically banning it, but I'm not complaining. Stall tactics shouldn't be used in competitive play because they remove any kind of "competition" and it becomes more of a game of luck. Sacred Sword of Seven Stars - Not even sure what this does. Spellbook of Fate - Also not sure about. SEMI-LIMITED: Chaos Sorcerer - Chaos Sorcerer was limited because Chaos Dragons were so good i think. They aren't a thing anymore, and Chaos isn't that great right now. This is a fine change. Lonefire Blossom - Plants were incredibly strong for a while, but at this point they have fallen behind. The power curve looks like it's at such a place that this can be at 2 without any actual impact on the meta. UNLIMITED: Archlord Kristya - Wasn't good at 2, 3 wont matter. Mezuki - Zombies were hyped this format, but they didn't get played. Maybe they will now? Plaguespreader Zombie - See above. T.G. Striker - Same thing as Zombies, T.G. wasn't used before this list and I don't expect a change. Tour Guide From The Underworld - Without Sangan, the third copy wont make too much of a difference IMO. Spellbook of Fate is a Quickplay that banishes up to 3 Spellbooks and applies an effect based on the number. Banishing 3 lets you banish an opponent's card. This does not target. Their very designs are ridiculously degenerate, and Konami has been trying to patch things up ever since. While still making money, of course.
