White Void
Am I the only one that thinks there's a possibility that Timaeus, Critias and Hermos might get this Type if they're monsters? I was thinking that as well, it's quite possible that however those three end up that this new type was created to fit their flavor but stop them from having all of the pre-existing Dragon support. Can't really say for sure though.
Toffee.
Lets just get it over with and make 'YCM' a type.On-Topic: So the one monster turns your Synchro into a Marshmallon. Neat.
Blake
More likely the types they give to the fusion monsters they summon. I was thinking that as well, it's quite possible that however those three end up that this new type was created to fit their flavor but stop them from having all of the pre-existing Dragon support. Can't really say for sure though. That was common sense. ... Except then we learned DMG the Dragon Knight's a plain old dragon and it takes away from the chances. Not 100%, but moreso. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
I really wanted to believe this is fake, but no, we get a new type that literally has the name of another type in it, when we already have Types starving for attention and cards in general. I know this has already been said, but it's worth saying again, because it's really annoying to me that they did this. And look! All of the Legendary Dragons right now are in an Archetype. They couldn't have just made them an Archetype, not made them broken beyond hell and back, and left it at that?
goddamnit names are a pain
You know, now that Konami is being redundant- I want the next type to be Android or something of the sort. More love for machine-esque monsters.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
You know, now that Konami is being redundant- I want the next type to be Android or something of the sort. More love for machine-esque monsters. Then Psychics will get even less cards, and it will be even more confusing what Jinzo is supposed to be. Though I feel at this point it would be fair for them to re-type some cards, or at least print counterparts. Not that I expect them to.

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
What is there even that makes them a different type? If it's just status, then there's a ton of dragons that already should have had this status based on their lore. Even if it's something like "they're ancient", the same thing applies. They would have to be not actually dragons for it to make sense.
Thomas★Zero
Makes you wonder... ...why this isn't a Legendary Dragon Type Monster! OT: Seems interesting but for some saying why have another form of Dragon, its similar to saying why we have another type of beast and warrior being beast-warrior. Still would be interesting in future Konami decided to make a parody based Legendary Dragon Type Blue Eyes and Red Eyes as Pendulum monsters. Aerion Brightflame
I love that this topic has basically ignored the cards in question and has just become a giant rant about why the new type being called Legendary Dragons was unnecessary when it actually doesn't matter in the slightest. Like seriously, a new typing is a new typing, the name of it matters so little in the grand scheme of things. They could've been badgers for all it would matter. It seems kinda silly in my eyes. People will now probably say: But other types need support, why not support them first before making a new type; Another type becomes playable ideally either way. Which type doesn't especially matter. And if the support wasn't any good, then it's irrelevant what typing it was for. OT: The cards seem decent thus far. Given there's only the 3 of them. Nutty with Supply Zone. I want to see the Synchro's effect, but then again everyone who actual cares about the cards over the type probably does as well

The most basic hierarchy in my view would be: Attribute > Type > archetype It's nice that we're getting more Synchro support, and I hope the Synchro is good. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
The reason everyone's complaining about it is that they're creating an archetype instead of a Type. Even if they make cards that aren't part of the Archetype, they're likely only going to support their Type, and they're going to be very sparse, thus having the same exact functionality as an Archetype. Psychics as a Type at least makes sense, and at least they've been expanding them, though they also went down the same route I speak of for the most part. Only difference is that they later on became more of a thing in the Xyz front, and didn't directly have anything to do with other Psychics or the "pay life for effect" tree. They really have been wasting a lot of creativity and potential, and I'm not just talking in this front, but in a lot of ways. They re-use the same concepts a lot, and rely on the archetype crutch too often.
goddamnit names are a pain
Another reason we are talking about the type....no one gives two dangs about Dragons. *shot* Nah it's just interesting while kinda really stupid that Dragons got a new type. werewolfjedi
why can't they just use divine beast for these then? it's a basically unused type, as only the E.gods are in them it would have been interesting to have that type get support. not to mention the casual shenanigans that would allow to happen this is like early sea serpent all over again

Except that's fine because Beast-Warriors are furries crosses between Humans and animals, and are a molding between the two, rather than...a branch of something already existing. Maeriberii Haan
To be honest, I like the fact that every single damn thing in this archetype so far floats, so Creature Swap, and maybe circle of the fire king for the fire one can work. And the formula synchron-like tuning effect is neat.
Sleepy
No amount of people complaining about specifics on the new type will prevent me from coming here and complaining about the specifics on the new type. I think I understand why Konami is doing this one. It's not that they wanted a new type necessarily. Dragons are one of the most over-supported Types of all time, to the point that most decks have from the Synchro era and back had at least 1 Dragon-Type in them, often a boss. This is an alternative that lets Konami keep making their beloved dragons without them over-flowing the Dragon-Type and getting restricted design (as Dragon Rulers kind of caused) or unforseen plays in the card pool. They basically have an obsession with Dragon-Types and this is the safest way they could keep at it without causing too much harm with whatever plans they have in the future. OT: Pics are great. If they are budget I'll give them a shot when they arrive. So far they seem very defensive on the Main Deck and ubberly offensive with Synchros. Of course it'll support Synchros. I'm not sure if I should take that as Konami supports everything at the start of a new gen or as Konami is telling you Xyzs are to become less convenient now that they achieved the top of the chain. I also wonder if we are gonna have Synchros and Xyzs be canon in the new anime, or if Fusions or older game focuses will be seen consistently enough. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Oh god dammit it's going to be the whole "Beast Warriors are Warriors so you can search them with RotA!!!" bullshit all over again =.= I had someone search a Magnet Warrior with ROTA once. On topic, I've come to terms with the new type, but I will not say that it was a good idea. If it's true that they made it its own type because it would be broken with Dragon support, they should have hit the Dragon support that would make them broken, make them something besides Dragons that wouldn't force it to be its own type, or, you know, just not make broken cards.
