Rank-Up Magic Admiration of the Thousands

Recommended Posts

RankUpMagicAdmirationoftheThousands-DRLG

Target 1 or more Xyz Monsters in each Graveyard, all of the same Rank; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Number C" or "CXyz" monster that is 1 Rank higher than those monsters, and attach those monsters to it as Xyz Materials. You cannot Special Summon other monsters during the turn you activate this card. You can only activate 1 "Rank-Up-Magic Admiration of the Thousands" per turn.

Yup, turns out they changed the name in the english version after all, discuss?

so pwetty...

i wuv this curd.

Didn't really like that it's reliant on your opponent, but at least R4 is everywhere.

It isn't reliant if anything it's a boost.

Cause say you have no Xyz's in your graveyard but your opponent does. Use this and bam, take all that are relevant to the rank your making.

EDIT: I'm a big dummy but that's some odd wording..........stupid wording.........

This card is honestly really damn cool if you play a deck that's dedicated to something like C101, since you don't need to have Ark attached, and can just Summon C101 out of nowhere.

That aside, this card is rather silly because you can use it to Summon a monster with a form of self-protection, because you could theoretically attach a bunch of monsters to it.

It looks very cool but also bad to me.

Side Deck against a mirror match or at least same Rank opponents?

If it's mandatory that your opponent must have a same Rank Xyz in their Graveyard, it's gonna be very situational.

Also, if a D.D. Crow/Call of the Haunted activates, does this lose all targets or just resolves with what's left?

Admiration of the Thousands can also be useful in a Heraldry Deck thanks to Numbers 8, 18, and 69 being R4, and thanks to Number C69 being rank five, Number 69 can still be used to summon C69.

1. It's still dependent on your opponent, and C101 and C104 are still better than C69

2. For the love of god, put your sig in a spoiler of something. It's freakin' huge.

This card makes me annoyed there are no Rank 8 Chaos Xyz.

It's a weird card - it's been massively buffed since it no longer deals entirely in Chaos Numbers, but it locks your summons and it can no longer use monsters on the field. Most of the time it should be live since Rank 4s are everywhere, but it's not that great still.

This is also the first RUM to get a name change. It's far less Engrishy now, but It still makes no sense.

Rank Up Magic cards always get the coolest names

The Seventh One
Admiration of the Thousands
Barian's Force

Also, I wasn't the only one thinking that this would have something to do with the C1000 number, did I?

probably, because this card was used by Vector to summon C5. C1000 has/had his own card for summoning.

From my memory of Zexal episode summaries, this probably has the name because he absorbed Don Thousand before making C5.

nah, he probably thought he absorbed him, but Donny just pretended to die. Though, that still is an explanation for the name.
