CORE-JP017 Crystal Rose
Level 2 LIGHT Rock-Type Effect Monster
ATK 500
DEF 500
You can only use the (2) effect of “Crystal Rose” once per turn.
(1) Once per turn: You can send 1 “Gem-Knight” or “Melodious” monster from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard; until the End Phase, this card’s name is treated as the name of the monster sent to the Graveyard.
(2) If this card is in the Graveyard: You can banish 1 Fusion Monster from your Graveyard; Special Summon this card in Defense Position.

Well then, that's very differnet from the original version. The ability to throw a Meastra is actually pretty nice, since it's pretty hard to get them on the field with Soprano otherwise. I don't play much Gem-Knight, but I think it's decent enough in there.

Free mill in gem-knight is sick.

Tbh, I have no clue how melodius works so nothing from me there.

All you gotta do to make this work in a Melodious Deck is to use 1st Movement Solo and grab Soprano, then Normal Summon this card and use its effect to dump a Maestra, then Fusion Summon for Bloom Diva.

>Ties Melodius and Gem-Knights together

*Concerned moan*

Don't you mean, satisfied moan?

Anyway, sad that it doesn't actually trigger Lazuli, but at least, Obsidian would still work, no? Among other nifty stuffs I guess. What's concerning would be whether this would hinder GK's consistency or not. Idk though, if Brilliant got released, this looks really damn solid.

Ugh well that's a bit frustrating. I wish they just made it generic

To make it work like in the anime and be generic, it would be able to mill literally any monster in the game. I think this was their only option besides neutering it.

So it's not Gem-Knight Fusion as a monster (revives itself), and is GK support. Now we wait for Brilliant Diamond and Brilliant Fusion.

Wait a second...
Yuzu has pink hair and a strong personality...
Masumi has tan skin and keeps getting walked on by other people...
And they share a card that is a rose...
OMG ARC-V IS UTENA!!!
LESBIAN CARS!!!
LESBIAN CARS!!!!!

Well, Lesbian Cards in this case, but yeah.

Now, as somebody pointed out, this enables Seraphinite in Gem-Knights, but is that worth it just for. An extra Armadillo play?

And Normal Summoning Gemi-Knights.  Gemi-knights are still cool enough to be played.

I'd say it's worth 1 Seraphinite, simply because Amber's an amazing card and you can get cloggy hands.

It seems really cute considering that Lady Lapislazuli can just auto-revive it, but at the same time that seems like it might be overkill due to using a valuable fusion...

It feels like an Edge-Imp to G-K, so I suppose it's worth a test.

Sucks that it doesn't set Lazuli off, though .~.

OH. MY. TIERRA O_O
Though I reckon the only way that could get even more Yuriffic would be if it was a Crystal Lily instead. Still, I do wish it triggered Lazuli as well. Let's all pray Org has made a mistake this time.

I didn't know Yuzu and Masumi were Transformers.

........*facecake*

Anyway if this card is in 905, then there's a very high chance brilliant Lady will be include in 905

God, I hope so. I will be estatic if we get the Gem-Knight Future Fusion.

Love how it supports both Gem-Knights AND Fantasia Maidens.

so many thign swrong with this post...

First off, both the fufu and brilliant diamond are absolute abominations. I'm sure Diamond'll get 'reigned in' to Gem-Knights only, but given how the anime/DT support this go round is fucking absurd (suggesting an R&D staff change at KoJ), they'd likely leave the FuFu in tact bar a hard OPT. Which isn't good for the game at all. Likely we'll get them? Yes, but that doesn't mean they;'re something you should wish for, even as someone who enjoys playing the deck (hell, I enjoy the deck).

As for the latter... what's to love? Bad flavor design? Like, yeah, it's a cute nod, but it makes ZERO sense that two archetypes from different in-lore universes would share a support card. It's honestly awful flavor because it's a very "if you get it you get to stoke your ego, and if not fuck you" design that doesn't make sense outside of the context of the anime itself. Hell, even in anime context, this is overkill in flavor design.

I'm sorry I want support for an archtype I like. I know they're absurd. I'm just hoping we get them, and they aren't nerfed to garbage.

Nothing. I've always just found it amusing when a card specifically supports two or more different groups.

I guarantee you both of them well restrict you to Special Summoning Gem-Knights that turn, and have hard OPT limits on them. Brilliant Diamond will likely have to summon a Fusion the same type as what it sends, and Brilliant Fusion may lose the effect to give your monster its stats back or something. They can be balanced.

nothing you described was balanced or wwell designed in any way

"it's okay just spam gem-knights for the turn... like you would anyways!"
