Maeriberii Haan
It IS spamming. There's no rules for flipflop vote, but there's still rules against spamming. Flipflopping is technically fine, posting things like what you posted is not. So yeah~

LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
So when are the next rounds being posted? It's been two days, hasn't it? 7 PM HST is still nine hours away. (GigaDrillBreaker)
Idk what you are on about, my match ended yesterday Really though, I don't get why first round had to go so long with so few matches
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I kept it for 2 days, so this tournament wouldn't flood the entire first page all day (with consideration if British was adding up the next batch of his tournament). But I can make the next batches of R1 fights a day. Â And Giga, your match ended early because of the mercy rule; there didn't appear to be any way Kano would surpass you in votes. Agro
I would've done round-robins, but then it'd go on forever (and yes, Polls would've been flooded by now if I posted each match separately). Â Or conversely, I could've done it like the GPT and just straight-elimination all the way. That might've been easier to coordinate, although yes people would get ticked off if they got eliminated earlier (and might've had a better chance against others) Â Recall that I dislike posting multiple matches in one thread; that way, if you don't like the matchup, you can vote on others, as opposed to being forced to vote on ALL of them. Gonna bring this over here cuz it doesn't really belong in a single match: Â (Flooding the Polls Section, which is always flooded anyway or having a contest that's gonna be long with or without RR early) >>>>>>>>>>> (people getting upset that elimination was so early) Â TBH, the point of RR pools is to better make sure that you have the top however many people (usually 16) in the single elimination tournament, so that every match feels somewhat like a heavyweight fight and it's harder for any member to say that they shouldn't have been outvoted by another member or that Y should have been over X. But if all the heavyweights get knocked out in the first round, what's the point of even having RR later on? Just do straight elimination all the way at that point. Â In conclusion. Still totes think that 1 RR followed by Top 16 is best way to go.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
The premise is basically get all of the smaller contenders out until the top 6-8 or something; then have the survivors fight amongst themselves for supremacy. Of course, there are some first rounds that have major players against one another [like you vs Toyo, and Nai vs Night], so once they go out, well that's it.  There'll still be some key ones left over in the end, although how many of them remain will depend on how RNG wants it; and your opinions on the members in general.  ---- 5-6 RR rounds is better than having 52 of them. Also keep in mind that I'm not the only one posting tournaments and stuff in here; need to make sure other members and their polls can be clearly seen on first page while active. Agro
Then you should have done a better job at cutting things off when you were supposed to :p  YCMB V was only 36 in the RR, and I was sure to divi up how many polls I posted at any given time, with credence to how many other polls were going on at the time.  Also the RR only lasted 1 day per round, so it went by fast, rather than "taking forever"
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Keep in mind the pool filled up quicker than I had anticipated, and I was AFK at the time said cap was broken, so I couldn't lock nominations afterwards. The rest of the elimination rounds will be 24-hours only; although mercy rule will be cut to 12 hours at that point (same vote deficit). Â I would've done 64 members, but I was unsure if we had enough members to qualify for that (or even want to). We might've had enough, but we'll never know. Agro
Honestly speaking, I don't think the problem was that you were AFK when the nominations filled up, it's more "why were you only taking the first however many nominations in the first place?" Â From experience, this tends to work better if you just let the nomination process play out for a two or three days and take the however many (I did 32) that separate themselves. Albeit in YCMB V it was basically anyone that got 2+ votes.

Flash Flyer - Sakura
In any case, the first six matches of Round 1 are over. And regarding the mini-drama that escalated earlier, any further mention of it will result in appropriate warnings. Â @Agro: Again, I wanted to do 64 participants since that would've been plenty, but since I didn't know if we would have enough to push it that far; 48 was set as a cap. But given how the overfill came up, we likely did (and probably would, even if I had staff nominations locked). Â ----- The next matches will be up shortly. ~British Soul~
I know I'm risking a warn, but I also did flip-flop voting in 1-7. Yes I did vote for myself inititally, BUT I decided to change it because I thought it was criminal to vote for myself. At least I'm not the only one who voted against themselves so far (Agro, Toyo and Nico also voted against themselves). Information correct at time of posting. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Flip-flop voting is fine, since you might have new opinions of a member later on and stuff like that. Although you would've been okay at voting for yourself also, since we did have a few instances of this occurring besides yours initially.
~ P O L A R I S ~
Voting against yourself isn't against the rules and is actually commendably noble, but it also defeats the purpose of anyone voting for you if you yourself believe your opponent deserves to win more than you do.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Next batch of matches are up. In terms of 1-17, well that's what the RNG desired so that's what you're getting. Â It's Yin vs Dae.
~British Soul~
I know it's not against the rules, but I remember Agro saying during YMB5 that if you vote for your opponent, you're cool. Nathanael D. Striker
I'm planning a Loser's tournament for all those eliminated in the single elimination seeing as how RNG is be especially cruel this time. ~British Soul~
I like the idea of the loser's bracket Striker, ofc we haven't had all the first round matchs yet, so we'd have to wait a couple of days anyway.
