Warrior/LIGHT/Level 8/Effect/Synchro

1 tuner monster + 1 Warrior-type monster
You can Xyz Summon this monster from your Extra Deck by using 2 level 4 Warrior-type monsters you control as Xyz Materials. This card is always treated as a Normal monster.

Probably has something to do with it being a Synchro and yet it is being treated as an XYZ...

Not being treated as an Xyz, just being Xyz Summoned. It has no rank, it will still be level 8.

It is an alternative summoning condition from the extra deck that to my knowledge breaks no rules. That line of thinking is like Ritual Summons not being able to be Special Summoned. Its all a variation on the other. So excuse me for not seeing how this card is a "joke" card when it fits the idea very thematically appropriately.

Not experimental either. It brings no new concepts to the table at all. I'm not testing the waters. What this does is clear cut and understood.

It again, merely offers an alternative but very much existing summoning condition while retaining its vanilla status.

EDIT: After talking it over with Koko, I will agree to disagree on whether or not this is experimental. The mods will make the final decision not I and I will accept it.

I didn't say that, it's just really strange. Anyway, with that logic, certain questions do come up:

1) if it was XYZ summoned, can it be special summoned if destroyed? Since it is a Synchro and it wasn't Synchro Summoned, the initial thought is "no".

2) if it is XYZ summoned, do cards that affect that summon effect this card?

I'd probably think of other questions later, but I'm blanking now.

1: Why would anything change? Its effectively a vanilla Synchro Monster at all stages except in cases where you might want to use Xyz Materials for an effect outside of it as well as in the cases where something designates an Xyz Summon over an Xyz Monster.

2: Answered in 1.

I suppose I should bring up the point that the concept is indeed a weird thing.

It's a regular Synchro monster, yet has the capacities to be Xyz Summoned (even though it is not).

Though, grading from the alt. summon condition, there are a few Decks that can spam this card's alt. summoning conditions without problem.

One example would be Igknights, considering they are fully capable of making a 5-mat Rhongomiant already as they are.

Then we have 'tellarknights, although they're more on the lines of 3-mats and likely have more usage for their bosses like Delteros or whatever than with this.

To be honest, there are some effects that use Xyz Materials for other cards; although I don't know if they'd work well with this.

You can't use it for Rank-Up purposes either, since the card has a Level; and not Rank.

-----

As a regular Synchro, it's just a 3K beatstick that lacks protection from common threats and all.

Whether or not you can revive this card (if the alt. summon method) is iffy, but I'd likely assume you can revive this from the Graveyard/banished area if you summoned it successfully; even with the alternative method.

Just keep in mind that if you retain the "Xyz-esque" conditions, there are some Decks that can spam it without much effort.

That being said, it does benefit from Justi-Break protection and other support card Vanillas look forward to having, so there's that, I suppose.

Although in this respect, not really sure if they'd appreciate this card (again, probably the aforementioned Igknights can likely use this, either way).

In all, the idea is interesting; but given the mechanics of certain cards, it is rather weird; not in a bad way, though.

@Bell: There was no reason for you to post that image; even if the idea is somewhat strange.

Please refrain from doing so in the future.
