Insect/Effect

During your opponent's End Phase: You can send this card you control to the Graveyard, then target 1 Level 3 or lower "Performapal" monster in your Graveyard; add it to your hand. If a monster(s) is sent from the hand to the Graveyard while this card is in your Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card, and if you do, it cannot be destroyed by battle once per turn.

Performapal Landlord Hermit Crab

Aqua/Pendulum/Effect

PE: If a Pendulum Monster(s) you control is destroyed and sent to the Extra Deck: You can target 1 card in your Pendulum Zone; Special Summon it.

ME: Once per turn, when a Pendulum Monster you control battles, during damage calculation: You can activate this effect; that Pendulum Monster gains 300 ATK for each other monster you control, during that damage calculation only.

Pendulum Climax

Target 1 Pendulum Monster you control that battled this turn, then Tribute 1 other Pendulum Monster; equip 1 monster with the same Level as the Tributed monster from your opponent's Graveyard to that target. While equipped with that monster by this effect, it gains ATK equal to half the ATK of the equipped monster, also it can make a second attack this turn.

I'm pretty much going to say that Raingoat was essentially a Destiny Draw for Yuya at that point in time; otherwise he would've died from the burn damage.

Although judging from the episode, this and Seesawhopper were supposed to make an infinite loop or something like that.

Pendulum Storm is a more situational version / restricted version of MST.

Trying to think of good uses for it (aside from getting said monsters ready to be P-Summoned again) by another set of Scales.

So setting Hermit Crab and Odd-Eyes means that at the end of the Turn, when Odd-Eyes pops himself he gets summoned to the field? That is kinda Sweet

It says "Pendulum Monster"...i think it refers to cards in the monster zone and, since odd eyes activate in the pendulum zone crab wouldnt be triggered

Also Landlord is basically a monster reborn for Pendulums

An awful comparison, reborn can access far more targets, is not bound to the moment after a monster goes down, is not bound to monsters which were removed for being destroyed, can access opponent's monsters and most important is the fact that monster reborn does actually bring a card back which is most likely dead, as pendulums do not have that problem anyways (if they do go to the extra deck) this is just a small acceleration, but nothing too important to speak about, actually the effect is not that useful at all (you cannot even us it to summon summon material monsters back (like mammoth splash), but then it would have essentially been a better version of mammoth splash (except for the effect to summon vortex dragon), however like this the effect is by far too overestimated.

Now then let us come to the cards themselves Raincoat is definitely a plot device card and in regular duels (without weird additional rules) completely worthless.

Seesawhopper is in certain situations a half decent wall and potential overlay material (the splashable level 4 obviously) and while on the field limited to an archetype which throws nothing except for a plot device card at it to actually use it.

Hermit is nothing to spectacular either, being either an useful ATK boost or a before mentioned small accelerator (not too much of it).

The next card is specific and even if you can use it not too amazing, it would be an exaggeration to call this plot device card mediocre.

The last card is comparable to swaying gaze, giving you bonuses of shifting the pendulum zone fillers into extra deck material, however this card does not only not replace the removed scales in the slightest, but also only has a spell speed 1 mst effect (which is honestly terrible if it is restricted like this) and to top it of not even (as before mentioned) beyond spell speed 1 and thus completely outclassed by swaying gaze.

Actually this episode does not include very interesting cards, aside of maybe seesawhopper and a monster which is similar to drumming kong (if you have at least 3 monsters !), on top of a wall body (the DEF is mostly likely below drumming kongs, I would guess 1400 or lower)  instead of an offensive body, with an arguably worse pendulum effect. (still it would have been unlikely anyways that they would show as much pure gold as episode 56, which includes monkeyboard and guiturtle).
