Zauls
I'm honestly starting to think that either this or Wavering Eyes should be banned. There is a case for both. Towers is too centralising and impacting to be good for the game. Many people have to change their deck just to have an out for Towers, whereas some decks can't have an out at all. Wavering Eyes is just really f***ing stupid and generates far too much advantage. EDIT: When it came out people said it was a win moar card that no one would run It was, until Wavering Eyes came out and it became ridiculously easy to summon it turn 1, in a meta where outs are rare. It's a deck that took everyone by surprise, against which no one prepared, and europe doesn't have the best Towers out in the game (Diamond Crab King). I don't see this deck being that good for a longer period of time.in a meta where outs are rare.Exactly why it was good. No one prepared for it. CLG Klavier
How does Wavering Eyes go into Towers?Have 2 scales, Wavering Eyes goes into a thing, now you have 2/3 of needed tribute fodder and 1 of needed scales. It adds a lot of consistency.
Expelsword
It's not really that special to destroy this with Nehemoth. Now beating Kernel with Lilith, that's funny (Your opponent has to be an idiot). But seriously, I say this everytime... What were they thinking with this card? Its effects fit the hype of the Egyptian Gods, and most of their own, deserving effects were nerfed into oblivion to steal money from anime fans? This is not how you push Pendulums as a mechanic. Blake
tbh Wavering Eyes is broken in every way OCG has Heavy Storm banned because of Qli/Pendulum. Qli into Double Shock Master and what not. Harpie's Feather Duster is genuinely more balanced now. Wavering Eyes is a Heavy @3 for Pendulums, and better in the P-mirror. You don't kill backrow, but you filter out for more cards akin to Igknights, at worst, which is too much when it searches any Pendulum. It's genuinely just funking absurd that it clears scales, finds more stuff, and so on.

You're assuming that playing outs to Towers automatically means you will be able to search for them/draw them and implement them before you get completely crippled by Towers and a full field of Qliphorts. Shaddolls only really have Star Eater, which doesn't work if one of the scales is a Carrier/Stealth. Nekroz need to put a 2500+ATK Nekroz on the field as well as have Decisive Armor in hand. BA can't out it at all. Tellars will have to start playing Honest, which is ridiculous just for one card. Even if you prepare for Towers, there is still a significant chance that you can't out it. It may not be as effective as it was at Euros, but its still a very effective deck, as well as a stupid an unfair one that takes a lot of fun of the game. Towers is a badly designed card, but Wavering Eyes is still the main problem. Black explained it better than I could have.

Black explained it better than I could have. How do carrier or stealth make towers protected against star eater ?Last time I checked towers was immune to ALL spells and traps.Wavering eyes allows more pendulum zone abuse (for example allowing a scout use, just before you turn it into tribute fodder and just search a second one for further adding power), which is one more limitation in design as OPT effects would have to have a hard rather than a soft restriction to be prevented from being overly abusable (by a card which allows you to rampage against other pendulum decks as a mere bonus). As I said before: any 2 level 4 monsters are a Towers out due to Diamond Crab King. That's generic as sheet. Shaddolls can summon it, Tellars can summon it, even Nekroz can summon it. And don't pull out the "badly designed" card because you know how it's gonna end. I wait for the day someone can hold an impact/answer argument about a card without bringing up design principles. Toffee. (GigaDrillBreaker)
And how many of those were commonly used when Towers Turbo went crazy at Euros? The meta without answers I spoke of was then, not now. Towers is much weaker now that people are ready for it.
