@British: Same here.

I was writing it out when mshends posted this.

(Likely delayed due to internet + new rules on posting stuff in this section; essentially, post a small thought process with cards.)

Guess I'll post the small thoughts that I would've posted.

---------------

Bot-Eyes is presumably how Yuya even summons Saber Dragon, as original Odd-Eyes isn't there anymore since episode 1/2.

Suppose it'll make the Fusions easier to summon in the long run.

Unicorn pumps another Odd-Eyes assuming you run P-pals, which limits it to either these three OR the Odd-Eyes stuff.

It is a Scale 8 for P-pals along with Skullcrobat, but at the moment, not sure if P-pals will have room for this (at the moment, it only pumps stats)

Light Phoenix requires full scales, or it's deadweight.

That, and blowing up scales to protect itself is unproductive for the Deck, if I read Black's guide on how to use them properly (I believe they need their Scales up at all times, otherwise they can't do much)

-----

Again, I may be wrong about them being really useful in P-pals right now.

But at least the SD29 Magicians can search them.

I do think it's interesting that there are Performapal Odd-Eyes monsters now.

Light Phoenix is deadweight unless you have full scales.

Unicorn is the better one, being a Scale 8 and can pump stats n' junk, though Skullcrobat Joker is the better Scale 8 for P-Pals.

I suppose Bot-Eyes would only be useful if you were summoning Rune-Eyes, other than that it's not that great.

Yeah, it'll make setting up for Rune-Eyes better, but that's it.

Or Vortex Dragon, but that's about it.

But indeed, they're really starting to merge Yuya's cards together, so they have cross support (benefit from SD29 Magicians, and their own inherent stuff).

---------

As for your ninja'd thread, you can use it to discuss DC227's stuff once available.

Pretty sure there were a few new cards out of him.

Finally we get performapal odd-eyes monsters.

Correct me if I am wrong, but is joker not good because it is a pendulum stratos and his restricted scales are inferior to unicorn in the pendulum zone ? (though all in all joker is obviously far superior)

Arc in the Sky would be sooooooooooo strong if these gets proper buffs.

Arc can finally directly search the scales you want (unicorn as high end scale for performapals), is that nothing ?

They will perhaps be buffed (many cards yuya uses were buffed, odd-eyes and stamp turtle are just examples).

All in all quite interesting, unicorn can turn Phoenix without further cards into a 4k beater (though unfortunately unicron is level 1, 2 would have been preferable, but I guess we still have pot of riches).

Phoenix effect seems underwhelming, but perhaps he will get buffed and be better, then again 4k with unicorn for a single levle 5 monster is not awful either (he still needs a buff).

Lizard seems completely underwhelming, but he might get uses if he gets a buff or if future odd-eyes evolutions would require saber or the original (though those are still preferable to this).

Joker is a good card, but it's best T1, and it takes up a NS and post T1 there are other things you'd want to NS over Joker.

THE ODD-EYES MEME WAS PASSED ALONG TO PERFORMAPALS
IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME FOR NATURE TO RUN IT'S COURSE

*ahem*

Phoenix is interesting.
Unicorn could be pretty scary if, assuming it gets IRL release, it's ATK boost is raised to something like 300 or whatever. It's plays would be gimmicky, sure, but being a Pendulum monster that's basically a walking The A. Forces is pretty cool.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't. Surely if you count the odd eyes, then the performapals, it's already been counted. it may have been counted AS something else, but it's still already been done. Having those archetypes in its name makes it eligible to be counted, but it shouldn't be counted based on the number of names it has. you don't control an odd eyes monster AND a performapal monster, you control ONE monster that can presumeably be counted as either. It's like saying satellarnight constellar diamond is 2 monsters. now, I don't know how card wording typically works, but this is how I feel it should function.
