As-is, you'll be summoning it via RUMs, because not too many viable Level 8 Winged-Beasts exist, and this is exclusively for RRs.

 

(But, it'll be out in Wing Raiders, so we'll see on its actual effect there)

Though the effect felt eh and seems hella overkill, and not to mention it being its only effect felt weird since the previous two has 3 effects each. 3k is sweet though.

When I first saw this card, those colors reminded me of Pokeballs.

Likely yes, because while lowering ATK multiple times is nice, it's still weak to effect removal and stuff.

As for the colors, indeed they do look like Poke Balls.

 

Hopefully it's something better than attack dropping (or least some degree of effect protection).

 

But yeah, only one effect as opposed to the 2+ on other stuff.

 

3K ATK is still nice though, especially with the ATK drops in mind.

Which is why we're hoping it gets buffed.

 

If it's kept as-is, they should just make its Summoning requirements generic, as it's just a vanilla outside its archetype.

Effect is not nearly as good as the other XYZs but at the same time it's more of a push for an overkill OTK type monster. (It's also the first RR XYZ to have more ATK over DEF which has never been the case til now)

 

I'd be completely fine if they gave it S/T Immunity during battle (Since all of those dropped ATK points go to waste if you get MF or D prisoned or something)

I'm mostly just pleased it's a Rank 8, if only because RUM - Double Death Force actually serves a purpose for the Rank 4s.

 

Still need a Rank 7 RR, though.

This card's compatibility with Double Des Force is one of those instances where they seem to have actual planning going on.

Hmm. I certainly hope that it does more once it's released, as attack drain alone isn't really enough to justify a boss monster these days. Love the art, and the fact that soul shave force and double death force make this fairly easy to get, since you can basically turn rise falcon straight into this. Guess we'll see what they give it.

 

I really hope it's useable, I want to be able to nuke my opponents from orbit.

Oh, I thought it was because its effect isn't like Satellite Cannon's effect, which would have been a nice shout-out.

 

Also, Raidraptors are Winged-Beast cyborgs; if YGO allowed monsters to have more than one Type printed on them, they'd probably also be Machines.

It's design was pretty cool because it's color reminds of poke balls! Since it's Rank 8 and had a massive ATK, but thanks for Rank-Up-Magic Soul Shave Force making it a lot more easier to be summoned! However, the only Rank 6 Raid Raptor was Revolution Falcon, but still wasn't so difficult to be Summoned. But I hope they'll have new effects for it in the OCG since it's effect can weaken 1 of the opponent's powerful monster, but it still need some effects that can protect itself or effects that can fetch Raid Raptor cards.

I came here expecting a Raidraptor grafted onto a Satellite Cannon. Or at least something with a Satellite Cannon-esque charging effect. Was disappointed by both the results and the discrepancy with my expectations.

I can't help but think that one (of hopefully several) buffs would be to reduce by 800 for ALL monsters x RRs, and also to be able to attack all their monsters, simply because Revolution Falcon already does this, but makes them 0.
