Destruction Sword- Dragon Buster Blade

DARK/Dragon/1/400/300/Tuner/Effect:

You can only use the (3) effect of “Destruction Sword – Dragon Buster Blade” once per turn.

(1) You can target 1 “Buster Blader” you control; equip this monster from your hand or your side of the field to that target.
(2) If this card is equipped to a monster, your opponent cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck.
(3) If this card is equipped to a monster: You can Special Summon this card.

So...Emblem of the Dragon Destroyer to get OG Blader into your hand, Normal Summon Companion, Add this to Hand, Tribute Companion to get out Blader, Equip this. Effect 3. Make Buster Dragon. Get back Blader.

This Buster Blader stuff looks....actually pretty good so far. I'm impressed.

@Nai: Probably (might explain how Companion goes from being cute to being vicious).

Anyway...it stops the opponent from Extra Deck spamming, which is pretty nice (considering how most Decks use the ED nowadays).

Or it sets up for the Synchro and other stuff for Fusion, and is another one for it if you need to.

So far, I'm not disappointed by the support cards.

So if your opponent controls at least 1 monster and you have either this + the other companion + blader or the fusion spell + the other companion + blader you can summon the new buster blader fusion, synchro and equip eother of them with this card ... nice (if the opponent has no monsters, you end with buster blader + the new buster blader synchro, an equiped destruction sword and the fusion spell face-down).

Not the raped TCG version, play the unadulterated OCG version and tell me that extra deck hate is unwarranted

I live in Asia so i dont play the your so called "raped version" , i play the ocg format and i have and have been shocked master first turn , still that is no excuse for every archetype to have its own specific Vanity at 3.

Fair, you have more exp than me then. They want blader to compete with the meta game so they monarch'ed it. I see no real problem with that.

Anyway. Hero engine to copy buster blader maybe?

I've seen it, assuming you mean overlay with the dragon to avoid the effect of destruction. Confident Konami will make sure that won't work the same way they ruled Phantom of Chaos +DMoC.

4k life seems a bit steep just to get a name on board doesn't it?

Foolish Burial isn't too expensive :3

First we or what appeared to be a Tachikaze port from CFV.

Now Buster Blader is being turned into a weird Blaster Blade, with this serving as Wingal and Eunos, and the buster blade acting like a blaster weapon. It's just odd.

Konami is secretly stealing borrowing ideas from CFV cuz their creative staff left

Trust me my dad works at Nintendo

Do we really need the extra deck cripple ?

When destroyer is a skill drain on wheels on his own?

It actually makes sense that they would give this Archetype an anti-Extra Deck monster/something similar, if you think about it.

I mean, Buster Blader IS a monster that specializes in destroying specific monsters, so why not let them be more adventurous with that concept, and add more to it?

That Artifact Scythe effect looks so good. To be honest I didn't care much about Buster Blader and the latest support, despite the cool combos and locks with the Fusion, their Super Poly and whatnot, but with this card now they have my attention. I still can't tell if they will be ever meta-worthy, but with toys such as this they look fun.

I like how the the (2) and (3) effects are generic, so they will be active if the dragon is equipped to a monster through any means (e.g. Cyberdarks, Exa-Beetle).
