[Cherry Heart] Cherry Heart Guild Main Hall Thread

Mmm, yummy, crisp, juicy. This was a fine apple, Kasayee decided. Not as fine as some, but quite fine in its own right. She was deeply engrossed in admiring her food that she almost missed what the undead man had said.

"Beg pardon, druidess, but may I ask... can you commune with those who passed on?"

"...In a way." Kasayee was starting to grow a bit worried where this was leading. It seemed the man wanted her to do something. She just meant to enjoy this festival and maybe sign up for the guild, to have a place to return to when she felt like it. "The Spirits are not waiting to be called on by name. They just are. I can just as easily find a single individual as I can grab a specific ant in an anthill."

It seemed that whatever the ruckus was, it was growing louder. Kasayee wondered if it was going to spill out to where she was. With a sigh she decided she should try and get an application before things grew hectic. She glanced at the undead man but said nothing, neither negative nor positive, and re-joined the line. Which, she noted, had grown much smaller as many decided to check out the fighting. That suited her just fine. Perhaps after she was done with this...

"The undead one. Must not remain so."

Kasayee flinched. The Spirits have, as always, been watching her interactions. There was a portion of them that seemed to think that she was obligated to help the man. Either by finding a way to bring his soul to rest, or getting rid of him. At least, that's how she interpreted the message. It was often difficult to know for sure, and they didn't seem to feel the need to explain. She pouted. "Not today." She knew that a complete denial could anger the Spirits, and hoped they settled down. Which seemed to be the case, for now.

“Woah kids! That’s enough horseplay there!”

The guildmaster ran up onto the arena with a chuckle. Indeed, he was trying to bring the ruckus to an end but certainly not out of being a killjoy. He was much more concerned for the well being of the guild hall. Seeing a crater being blown out of the arena was warning signs - while in operating condition the guild had seen better days. However, Tyson could feel the blood in his veins catching alight from the young blood’s ferocious fighting. They were clearly ready for what awaited them and, in fact, it seemed like these kids would be very capable for the combat related quests that would await them.

However given their eagerness to battle he did have to question them and their ability to handle more delicate quests that simply did not welcome battle of any sort.

Regardless, Tyson knew what had to be done for the time being. He brought attention to himself through turning his arm alight in a mighty blaze as a sort of signal to bring the fighting to a grinding halt. He could only hope the fighters were willing to calm down, as the guildmaster wasn't really looking forward to exerting his authority in a combative demeanour so early in his run or the run of the guild for that matter. Though he was not going to forgo celebrating the champions that fought. The guildmaster requested a round of applause for the fighters and the crowd roared with excitement - mages fighting was a very rare treat, especially spectacle fighters like these.

“While our fighters will settle this at another time...” Tyson stated with a weak chuckle certain this would be somewhat to the disappointment of the combatants. “...the guild is in ill condition. That’s why the fundraiser is going on after all!” He rolled his eyes before personally making his effort to meet and shake the hand of each and every fighter there. He truly appreciated the ferocity they brought to it all.

Back to business however, Tyson then took the opportunity upon the arena “stage” to address the new recruits. “Applicants for the Cherry Heart guild, I would like to divert your attention to the Quest Board.” With that a lovely pair of buxom bunny-girl assistants presented the proud and dominant board filled with papers and notes.

“This Board is the heart and soul of our guild. From here you will take up quests, to both fund the guild and gain personal prestige. Supporting the guild naturally has its own benefits - the more you invest in the guild, the greater it can become and the more services it can provide. However, I am certain you are all very intrigued by your personal prestige.”

Tyson winked with a smirk as he further explained. “Your prestige reflects how well known you are! You cannot expect anyone to hire you after all. Some quests will not demand any prestige, any mage will do, however others will have a requirement of your prestige. We keep that tracked with our support staff, so you needn’t fret about it.” Chuckling softly with excitement he took a quest from the board. “You will be happy to know that by being here today you will begin with 1 prestige each and thus all available quests at this time can be taken. However, we cannot hire all of our mages to address one quest. Each quest we will send a party of 3 up to, for the time being, 5 of our mages.”

With that, Tyson glanced over the applicants with a very simple question. “Any questions?”

"I am Eristhene Claudia Tiberius of the Outer Border Patrol Joint Detachment, of the proud elven kingdom of Caeth. I am here to start a new direction in my life, while hoping that this doesn't break the order my king gave me. That's that, I guess."

Ooh, a winged elf? How very exotic and certainly alluring. Dareios was very interested in his table companion. She seemed like a very stiff-shouldered type but the silver tongued serpent reckoned in there was a sweet and mushy core that was waiting to be broken out. However even so, her title was very intriguing - a title that long and elaborate surely must have a very significant nature to it. Indeed, Dareios found himself lost in the elf’s allure for a while, he unfortunately didn't even notice the slime lady leaving his company. He would definitely have to apologize later.

For now he was simply transfixed by Eristhene’s beauty. To be expected for certain, her elven grace was there but something a little more. She had a beautifully rounded face with a flush of lively rose to her skin. She was very slender, her physique not exaggerated but very well complimented by her ample buxom. Indeed she was definitely the looker. Dareios was considered charmed.

“I hope you’ll find that direction in life here.” Dareios gently chuckled, turning up his own charm. “I too seek the same - I envy your title, mine not nearly as elegant, for I am but Dareios al-Aswad, former Rider with the Rakibi Al-Dhadhahabi. I come here from the distant land of Kaktos, seeking my own new way.” He didn’t dare tell her he was an exile, given how authoritarian she seemed.

Soon though, it was natural that the excitement of the arena exploded practically everywhere. It was intense and Dareios was amused by it, though remained in Eris’ company for the time being. He did not feel his magic would be welcomed on such a stage in truth, as his tames were less spectacle and more efficiency fighters.

The guildmaster, Tyson Firebrand, soon intervened - likely much to the chagrin of the fighters, however they were heralded with applause nonetheless. Indeed Dareios joined in, it seemed only polite to thank them for the entertainment. With this, though, his intrigue peaked as he listened carefully to the words of the elder mage. The ebon fellow was looking for a job at the end of the day and naturally he followed the guildmaster’s lead and inspected the quest board thoroughly.

“Cave of Lost Treasures?” Dareios said with a smirk. “That seems right up my alley.”

Just as things were getting interesting it looked like Henry was going to get his first win the apparent guildmaster directly intervened with the festivities. He looked at man as he stopped the battle while quietly thanking himself in his head because he was probably going to get his face pushed in if he did not stop when he did. As the Guildmaster lit his hand up Henry instinctively recalled all of his floating cards back into his wrist and the bowed dramatically as a way to end his "performance." Henry gladly shook the man's hand as he passed by though after everything calmed down he was admittedly worried that he had come across as a battle crazed maniac. Maybe his need to entertain was taken a little bit to the extreme this time.

“Applicants for the Cherry Heart guild, I would like to divert your attention to the Quest Board.”

Henry looked at the two lovely ladies stand next to the sign and he made his way into the crowd as this was about to be explained.

The concept of personal prestige sounded nice and all but the services is something that he was more interested in. It is hard being him with all of his debt. A guild may be a way to increase his finances. After the explanation of how prestige worked he waited till Mr. Tyson was done talking he himself decided to walk up to the board. Much to his dismay there was something about cleaning up the mess after the festivities. Henry could only hang his head in shame as he saw the need for someone to clean up after the commotion that was caused.

Yeah I think I'm going to have to go with that. I guess it is the responsible thing to do.

“Woah kids! That’s enough horseplay there!”

Kin heard this and stopped, turning his head only to see Tyson...or in his mind...the obvious old man who just stopped his fun. He wanted to snap at the old man for just stopping the little brawl they had going on...but he could sense the obviously strong magical pressure that came from him. Not only this but he watched as his arm started blazing slightly.

A Fire Wizard...well...given the scent I'm getting off him and the strong magical pressure I'm sensing...he's either the Guild Master...or an S Class Wizard in this guild. Kin thought, his golden scales slowly fading from his body as it returned to normal fleshy skin.

“While our fighters will settle this at another time...the guild is in ill condition. That’s why the fundraiser is going on after all!”

That's about the time Tyson walked around to shake the hands of all the combatants. When he shook Kin's, he could honestly feel the sheer magic pressure he had. It frightened him some, but at the same time...it excited him. A small smirk appeared on Kin's face as Tyson walked away. He knew that old man was strong and sooner or later, he was going to possibly take him down...but that was of course after he and the red headed Myth finished their unfinished fight.

Kin nodded at Tyson's explanation, before he and the many others moved towards the Quest Board. Many jobs were listed, well, the ones he could take anyway. But he looked for one that really called out to him. And two really looked good to him.

"Cave of Lost Treasures..." Kin smirked, hearing his stomach growling. "All that treasure would sate my appetite real nicely. Then again..." His eyes moved and stopped over at another flyer. "Hunt the Beast...hehe...I do really want to take my knuckles and beat the hell out of something."

"Alright, it's official!" Kin shouted as he slammed his fist into his open hand. "I'm goin' monster huntin'!!"

" H... How did you..." Spark. "Recover that.... Quickly?"

"Well...I guess it's because I'm pretty light, and being thrown around is not that unusual for me anyway."

Her attack was a direct hit, and pierced the blondie right on her torso. It would have been quite a severe wound, an unintentionally-inflicted one at that, but Angela saw that what she hit was actually...not flesh at all. It was as if the girl was some sort of contraption rather than a living thing. Since the blondie was in so much pain and didn't seem to be in a position to continue the battle, Angela thought of asking her about things, but that thought soon disappeared when she realized that Henry was still in the fight.

"Hey, did you forget how to play 52 pick up? Once the cards are on the floor.....you gotta pick them back up again!"

"Wait, wait wait! Wait a sec!"

Too late. Angela had missed the fact that the cards thrown by Henry earlier was still scattered on the ground, and they're now all flying towards her direction. Before she could attempt on dispelling the attack with her wind however, the cards exploded into thick fumes of smoke that obscured her vision. She could clear it out with a gust, but it caught her off guard and due to her being surprised, it was hard for her to do anything else.

"Alright now where to attack? Let's just say its the dealer's choice!"

Although, while in the shades of the smoke, she could still feel Henry throwing something towards her direction, so Angela attempted to use Strike Air once more to propel herself to another direction before she could be hit by the cards. Yet, just as she did that, the guildmaster descended to the arena to stop the fighting. That was disappointing. Although, when the smoke cleared, the reasoning behind that became clear. One of them had made a crater on the ground somehow, and that was pretty much a sign that the fun should be ended, sadly. Either way though, the guildmaster decided that it's time to properly address the applicants. He soon told them regarding the quest and prestige system of the guild, and how would it be implemented here. He also introduced the quest board, and of course, that was one of the biggest thing regarding a guild. Looking at the blondie, who was still lying on the ground in pain, Angela tried to pull her up and shoulder her towards the board.

"Hey, sorry 'bout that. Kinda thought you'd just dodge it or somethin', but well, I guess at least you're not too hurt with it, right?

Regarding quests though, this Wizard Weekly one sounds quite fun. I think I'll take it, but do you have any interest in taking it too?"

“I too seek the same - I envy your title, mine not nearly as elegant, for I am but Dareios al-Aswad, former Rider with the Rakibi Al-Dhadhahabi. I come here from the distant land of Kaktos, seeking my own new way.”

"Fate ended up leading you here, huh? That's quite the distance you've traveled. Perhaps...we're not really that different if not for the fact that I didn't drift into this kingdom."

Kaktos...Eris felt like she had heard about that place before. It's probably just something that she learned about ages ago rather than something truly vital though. The wobbly girl had left for the ruckus outside, but Eris was not really interested in checking the fight out. As much as she was still feeling uncomfortable around this man, she felt that it would be rude to leave him alone in the middle of a conversation. Regardless, he seemed to be harmless and not a hostile, anyway.

Though, that ruckus didn't last long, thanks to the guildmaster intervening. Granted, it was soon followed by an announcement and speech from him regarding the guild's system, and as she was supposed to be a good soldier, Eris took her time to memorize what the guildmaster say, word per word as so she did not end up misinterpreting something. Soon anyway, people started to check the bulletin board for quests, and since the man she was talking to ended up doing it too, Eris decided to follow suit.

"Hmm..." Looking at the available quests, Eris took the time to think about it more. "I like the sound of Murder of crows...but detective work is not my area of expertise. Escort...that might work, as well as guarding the tavern. Caves would be a definite no. It's uncomfortable there.

In that case...hunting this 'Beast' might be more in my alley." She was not one hundred percent sure yet, but she voiced her choice clearly enough to take the attention of people that thought of taking the same quest.

Angel blacked out for a second, her blue eyes returned and she seemed at ease despite the pain she was in. She couldn't continue in her condition and it seemed Henry was about to launch an attack, unaware what Angela's attack had done to her. Thankfully, the guild master called the battle off. The guild master directed all the adventurers and mages that had signed up for the guild to a quest board with different sets of quests written out on it.

Angel smiled despite the pain, "I guess that means everyone was excepted, which means I made it." After the guild master gave his speech Angel felt herself being helped up by someone. It was the very same person who had struck her down, Angela. Angel couldn't blame her, she was losing her mind, she might've targeted the arena audience if Angela hadn't beat her in the fight.

"Hey, sorry 'bout that. Kinda thought you'd just dodge it or somethin', but well, I guess at least you're not too hurt with it, right? In the state she was in, Angel couldn't even think, of course she got hit. "I... I just need some materials and I can patch myself up, you don't have to apologize, if anything I'm the one who should be saying I'm sorry."

"Regarding quests though, this Wizard Weekly one sounds quite fun. I think I'll take it, but do you have any interest in taking it too?" The woman seemed nice enough, even staying polite throughout the battle. Angel may have just made her first friend in the guild. "That quest sounds nice to me, thanks for helping me up and for... well, knocking some sense into me, I think I should explain myself."

Watching the girl giggle as he walked over to her, Toby kept his cool demeanor, trying to figure out if she was laughing at him or something else. As soon as he got to her however, as well as after saying his few lines, she pecked him on the cheek, making him freeze. "The first one is on the house. I'm a nurse, so I'm pretty trained in mouth to mouth. If ya want some of that, it's going to cost you.~" She then moved back a bit and glancing a shot at her tip jar before looking over Tobias' shoulder. "Can you believe it? The audacity! How can such a barbaric display capture the audience away from me? Why if I could fight I would teach them a lesson!"

"Well, I honestly think they're pretty-" Toby caught his tongue before he said another word.

"Dude. DON'T stuff this up."

"Don't stuff what up honey?"

"Nothing, mum!"

"... Nasty too."

"Nailed it!"

Mary stood, continuing to watch the battle in front of her, gazing in awe as another 3 began to fight, and her new bee friend cheered one of them on to an excessive degree. She had heard of insect people in old folklore tales, but never expected to see one. Then again, today was an important day. A very important one at that, so why wouldn't lots of people be there? In the middle of the battle, Mary suddenly heard her son's voice ringing through her mind. It was their telepathy ability, and it seems like both of them forgot to turn it off.

"Dude. DON'T stuff this up."

"Don't stuff what up honey?" Mary knew this train of thought. He was trying to pick up another girl.

"Nothing, mum!"

With a sigh, Mary re-focused her attention on the stage, which was now controlled by another man, who explained himself as the guild leader. He began to explain the Quest Board, something important that her son was missing out on. But then again, what was new?

"Tobias Nickolas Davidson! Get your ass over here RIGHT NOW." As kind as she was, Mary knew how to be a mother, and she knew that Tobias would come running in a matter of seconds.

A loud smashing noise erupted in Toby's head, causing his eyes to widen as he stared at the bountiful girl. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small pouch half-filled with coins and dropped it into the jar, then rapidly said: "Uh... Thanks for this, gotta go, felt real good hope we can do this again sometime. Ok bye!" And with that he dashed off, mentally facepalming himself as he ran towards the hub area of the festival, where a guy was speaking.

After he ended, the mother/son duo decided it was time they filled out their forms. The line was extremely tiny now, seeing as most people got their forms already. After filling them out, they made their was to the Quest Board, which was the new thing absolutely surrounded by people. Toby did see one sheet, however, and as he read the details he started shaking his mother. "Mum. Mum! Let's go kill a monster!"

"What? That's dangerous though."

"We didn't join this guild to become the housekeepers. Let's do something exhilarating for our first quest!"

Tegur roared with mirth at the young Masaru's words. "Atta boy!" He chose right in talking to this lad. He seemed like a good kid, but lost. Tegur felt the desire to help him along the right path. As for the other one, there was something about him that made Tegur think he was similar to Masaru.

The Minotaur looked up towards the sky, to keep his expression from the others. For it had soured suddenly. His grip on the two tightened as he started to wonder what place he had in looking after kids.

Jeeves came up to him then, snorting derisively. "Ah you're right of course." Tegur said to the horse. He stepped closer to the mount and patted his head. "Thanks for reminding me what I'm doing here." After this cryptic conversation, Tegur turned to the two boys. Before he could say anything, however, a man who was apparently the leader spoke up. He ended the fight so quickly, with just his words, that Tegur couldn't help but be impressed. He decided to take a gander at the quest board, and urged the two youngsters to do the same, assuming they both were part of the guild.

"Well lessee what we've got for ol' Tegur...nope, nope, haaaahahaha, that'd be the day...Ah what's this now." Tegur's eyes settled on the 6th quest. "When a tavern's in trouble, you can bet yer arse that Tegur Steelskull will be there to save the day!" He looked back towards his companions. "I know what I'm doing, how bout yerselves?"

Things were getting noisy again, Kasayee noted. Ironically after a man had called for a stop to the fighting. She barely registered what he was saying, but evidently she was able to take on quests. Right, guilds were for quests. She had almost forgotten about learning that recently. She checked out the listings of quests, looking for something easy that could help her waste some time. Cleaning, that was a promising one. She wouldn't have to do much...But wait, how does one actually...clean a place? Having never had a single place to her own, she wasn't so sure on that.

She shook her head and skipped it. The druid chuckled at the Wizard's Weekly quest, imagining briefly the alarm she could cause. Plus that girl she had talked to seemed like she was going to take this quest. But it wasn't really something that piqued her interest.

Then she saw the next one. Haunted House? Well...she had to. That was all there was to it. Her instinct drove her to point at the 10th quest. "I'm going to the Haunted House." She proclaimed. Seeing as everyone else seemed to be announcing their intentions why not do the same?

Masaru had never been the brightest crayon in the tool shed, at least not in the book smart kind of way, but he was not a stupid person. He was good with people, especially his friends, and it didn’t take him very long to take note of the way Tegur suddenly tensed up and looked at the sky. He opened his mouth to ask his friend what it was that was eating at him, but the words died on his lips before he could. A big, brown horse, wearing a rather dapper suit trotted up to them silently.

Masaru blinked a couple of times to make sure he wasn’t seeing things. No, it was definitely a horse in a suit, and it seemed to belong to Tegur if the way it nudged him was any indication. The Minotaur looked down and began very casually talking with the horse, acting as if it was a completely normal occurrence. Masaru wanted to ask Tegur the story behind how the horse had gotten in the suit, but once again, he was cut off before he could.

An older man with a worldly air about him spoke up above the noise. He didn’t seem to raise his voice, but it easily carried across the grounds and seemingly, no, obviously, magically caught the attention of everyone in attendance. Masaru listened in rapt attention as he drew attention to the Quest Board and suggested people look over them at that moment, but the Summon Mage violently remembered something. “Agh! I forgot to turn in my application!”

Panicking, he spun on his heel and almost slammed into Nanuq in his haste to get back to the application desk before it closed or filled up. “Really sorry! ‘Scuse me! I didn’t mean to!” Masaru shouted over his shoulder as he accidentally bumped into yet another person trying to get to the Quest Board, which was in the opposite direction of the desks he needed to make it to. Finally, he burst out of the crowd and bent over in half, hands on his knees as he sucked in breath greedily. “I-I’m… H-Here…” He reached out his hand to the slightly lady manning the desk, and she offered a happy smile in return and took it.

That was… surprisingly easy. Masaru took a second to catch his breath, scratching at the back of his and waiting for the crowd moving toward the Quest Board to die down a bit before he headed back. Maybe if he was one the ones to complete a quest quickly, it would look better on him? His body ached at the thought of more work, as he hadn’t even stopped to rest after traveling non-stop for nearly a month to be here, but Masaru knew that if he really had a shot at getting stronger, it would only be through hard work. He had to push his limits, no matter what.

Masaru headed back toward the board with that thought in mind, easily making out Tegur and Nanuq from the rest of the crowd because of their size. Maybe Tegur would let him tag along? It would be good to have a friendly face a step away, and something deep down told him that the bullman was reliable and would watch his back. Maybe that was what Nanuq had been thinking as well, since he was still hanging around with them; the more the merrier, either way, in his opinion.

"When a tavern's in trouble, you can bet yer arse that Tegur Steelskull will be there to save the day!"

A quest to guard one of the local taverns? Masaru wondered if there really was someone out there, looking out for him. Warm, local, with a bed to end the night in and something to eat and drink besides his normal rations. What a lucky break!

"I know what I'm doing, how bout yerselves?"

“Can I tag along with you?” Masaru inquired, and it was easy to see how tired he was when he did. “A quest to guard a tavern sounds like a great way to get started in all of this, and I could really use the down time between bar fights to rest.”

With their fight interrupted by what seemed to be the current guildmaster, Myth couldn't help but obey his wishes.  After all, if he wanted to be on good graces with the master at the moment, continuing the fight was not the best of ideas.  Looking at the other contestants, he noticed they all had regarded the master as extremely powerful, and didn't dare question him.  Even the Dragon slayer seemed to be petrified by the pure magic power that the master seemed to possess.

"All talk aren't you?"  He joked.

His attention was redirected to the quest board, a place where he could start his career at Cherry Heart.

"Hunt the Beast...hehe...I do really want to take my knuckles and beat the hell out of something.  Alright, it's official!  I'm goin' monster huntin'!!"

Myth bumped into the side of the dragon slayer, smiling as he eyed the same quest.

"This isn't over yet.  I'm catching that beast before you!"  He threw his arm around the dragon slayer's neck and laughed behind his smile.

ErxlloC.jpg?1

Did that mean he was accepted into the guild?  His eyes started to dew up, and he started hovering in the air.  His wings buzzed with elation.

"I did it!  I did it Queen!  I won't let you down!"  He had done what he had set out to do, now all there was to do now was select one of the many quests  that appeared on the board.  Some of the missions sounded scary, and honestly, they sounded like they were way above his current abilities.  He flew in front of each one, eyeing them carefully, trying to figure out which of the tasks he would take upon himself.

Wait...it wouldn't be just himself?  No...now he was apart of a guild!  He'd have teammates to help him with the quest...hopefully that is!

And then it came to him, the quest labeled "Cave of Lost Treasures" would be the one he would decide upon.

"Alright!  Time for a good old fashioned treasure hunt!"  It sounded simple enough, really.

"...In a way. The Spirits are not waiting to be called on by name. They just are. I can just as easily find a single individual as I can grab a specific ant in an anthill."

Needless to say, Solomon was disappointed with the druidess's answer, but made no comment, either positive or negative. She gave him a quick galnce before heading back to the line, leaving Solomon to ponder what she had said.

It makes sense in a way. Magic is the manifestation of the soul and so many powerful mages must shine like suns, blocking out the lesser souls. Something about that thought bothered Solomon, but he ignored it.

Better see if I can't find the guild master he thought, turning to go. Suddenly, he turned round quickly to look again at the lizard girl, peering at her closely despite her nudity, before shaking his head. Could have sworn she said something.  In his haste to leave, Solomon did miss the final words of the druidess, but they wouldn't have made much sense to him anyways.

Solomon frowned thoughtfully at the scene. As he expected, the arena was a death trap- powerful mages were fighting and not a single protection charm. People were being tossed about, and the crowd cheered, not realising how much danger they were in. You think other countries would have learned after our... incident.

He had popped into the arena to check on the brawlers, when the person he presumed to be Guild Master broke off the scuffle. He noticed the subtle fire round the man's strong arm and nodded. One such as him would make a respectable leader. When the man, Tyson, went to shake each of the brawler's hands, he took the opportunity to study each in turn.

One of them, a gold haired boy in a jacket gave an unpleasant smirk after shaking the Guild Master's hand. The smirk reminded Solomon of his army days, when young nobles with the same smirk would join up, presuming that they had some special advantage. It'll be beaten off him in time.

The next scrappers he noticed were the girl who was talking ton the druidess before him - Did I forget to ask her name?! - and a strange blond in peculiar armour. They were chatting amongst themselves and seemed unharmed.

Turning away from the combatants, Solomon examined the Quest Board. While he found the accompanying 'Bunny' girls to be annoying, the Quest Board was a fine thing. Strong, noble, it lifted Solomon's hopes of the caliber of quests. These hopes came crashing down when he read the quests.

"Tavern security... Cleaning... a hell bound magazine competition?!" he muttered angrily.  Cherry Heart was meant to be the world's most adventurous guild, yet it was sticking to small jobs in a mid sized port like this?!  With a sigh... Solomon turned away from the board.

The Cave of Lost Treasure seems dignified enough... Perhaps if we replenish the guild's coffers, things will speed up.

"I'm traveling with you. There are questions I must ask."

A tavern is a good place to gain the information he needs anyway. A tavern is a place of travelers; people coming in and out from city to city, stopping for a drink, a hot meal, and some casual conversation before moving on with their day. As such, information passes very quickly among patrons, meaning it's a very good place to go for information. There were some inquiries he had about the gigantic Minotaur anyway, ranging from his power to occupation; he could feel the strength emanating from him, and Nanuq found himself drawn towards it.

However, he had a nagging feeling in the back of his mind about going to a tavern; where there are taverns, there is alcohol. And Nanuq... he might be only half, but he's still Ursine. He wouldn't be able to help himself if offered. And if he ended up getting drunk...

For a moment, he considered retracting his statement, but this is one of the only chances he reckoned he'd get to gather information. He steeled himself, and stood his ground, now with high resolve to go to a tavern. Seems a like misplaced resolve, but...

Gush was far too into the action to notice the guildmaster running up to the arena. It was when the fight stopped when her eyes darted in all directions to see what was going on. Confused and frustrated, she frowned and grumbled at the sudden halt of entertainment that she ran so far to see. At that moment, she noticed a giant bee standing next to her who she heard was trying to outcheer her, making her blush at the realization that there was even someone next to her this whole time. Any normal person would've greeted the creature on sight, but her attention was on the guildmaster who was holding up a board of jobs while briefing the purpose of the guild. Despite the fight not continuing in her favor, she was interested.

"So, uh..." she turned around to greet the bee person next to her, trying to crack a smile as her body turned cherry red. She noticed this by looking at her hand which also turned that color, hiding herself in embarrassment with a subtle squeal and trying to continue to talk, "...um, so did you apply to the guild, by chance? Cause I'd like to know who else did, cause I might be joining you someday..."

Without changing her stance, she turned her head back to the arena as if to swoon the blonde-haired warrior once more, but realized his opponent was acquainted with the bee person.

"Oh, you seem to know that guy..." she asked the bee person with a spike of interest, "...he was pretty cool too. I didn't know who to cheer for, so I went with the guy who shouted the loudest." She tapped her lips with her fingers to let out a soft, high-pitched chuckle.

"Well, since the fight's over, I have no other reason to be here. I might as well just see what jobs there are and decide which ones to go on. You wanna join me?" Gush awaited the bee's response as she went over to the job board, intending to only prepare for whatever quest she planned to go on henceforth.

Leo was totally distracted by his acheivement in joining the guild, that he forgot about that nice lady he was standing to earlier.  However, she was reminded when she started speaking to him directly.

"So, uh.....um, so did you apply to the guild, by chance? Cause I'd like to know who else did, cause I might be joining you someday..."

"Of course I joined Cherry Heart!  It's been my dream ever since I was a wee larvae!"  He buzzed with even more excitement.  This must have been a dream anyways...joining a mage's guild in the hopes to better the guild, and in turn, the whole city of Prunus.  Everyone was at the board now, even Myth, who seemed to be getting chummy with that guy who was just beating up on.

"Oh, you seem to know that guy...he was pretty cool too. I didn't know who to cheer for, so I went with the guy who shouted the loudest."  Leo started waving his hands in front of him, shaking his head.

"Oh no no no, I do not know that guy!  I only know the guy on the other end of his fists, Myth."  He smiled.  "Myth is my first human compatriot!"  He laughed when she had said she cheered for the louder guy.  "Myth isn't all that talkative in the first place, that I know of."  They both had a lot in common, but Leo was definitely the more talkative one.

"Well, since the fight's over, I have no other reason to be here. I might as well just see what jobs there are and decide which ones to go on. You wanna join me?"

Leo buzzed.  Another friend so soon!?  And a slimy person at that!  So many interesting folks he would beefriend.

"Well...uhm...I thought that Cave of Lost Treasures quest looked pretty interesting."

"And safe!" he thought to himself.  "By the way," Leo stuck out his small hand, "My name is Leo, Leo Honeybuzz!  Nice to meet you!"

”Cooooooming throoooooough~!”

A young tomboyish figure charged down the streets, camera in hand. She snapped shots of everything the eye could see, swerving wildly to avoid any collisions. Snagging one of the signup sheets as she skidded past the cart handing them out, she pulled a pen out of a pocket, writing on the run before tossing it back at the man. She skated through the crowd, taking pictures of the fights breaking out, and offering a cheer every now and then of her own. She tried to bounce up and down to peer over the heads of some of the taller spectators of what seemed to be another interesting fight. Realizing it was getting nowhere, she tried to charge through between them.… before promptly bouncing off and landing on her rear.

Wait, bounce off? Groaning slightly as she rubbed her now sore behind, she looked up at who she had rammed into. They were one of the people cheering on the fight super loudly from before, but they were completely enwrapped in a brown cloak, making it hard to distinguish any features except their large size - although it was more massive than fat. Checking her camera carefully to make sure it was still in good condition, she got up, poking the person in the back to try and get them to turn around. The moment they did so, she’d snap a picture of their face. Once she did so, she’d greet them by their name and wait for their reaction.

”Hi hi hi! Sorry about bumpin’ into ya there, I’sa just tryna see this fight too!””

They turned around, obviously surprised. At Io’s attempt to photograph them though, they instantly shielded their face, pulling the cowl around tighter. Io grimaced. Well, that’s a shame. Turning to look at the fight, she began taking pictures of the ongoing battle. I see… Myth and Kin. What an interesting duo. Unfortunately, the fight quickly devolved into chaos as others randomly joined in, before the Guildmaster finally stepped in to bring everything to a forceful stop. Hmph. Oh well.

Wandering over to the Board, she scanned it, looking for what quests might catch her interest. Within just moments, she glimpsed one that seemed almost as if it was made for her. ”The Wizard Weekly, hm? Time to get some juicy shots, woohoo!” Skipping off, she went to go look for the others that would undoubtedly show up. ”This century ain’t so bad after all~!”

As the winged lady had continued to view all that she could of the festival, there seemed to be some sort of commotion that was going on. Obviously wondering what it was, Strio had gone over to see just what everyone was staring at, only to start staring as well. There was some number of brawls going on, one that seemed to finish itself and the other which seemed to be between two rather hotblooded individuals. Strio could not help but get her own blood pumping at the sight of the brawls as a smile went across her face. It did her spirit well to see that even amongst the people outside of her mountain, that they still understood the joys of passionate sparring. While it was obviously too late for her to join in on such fun, she watched as the people attempted to beat each other senselessly, only for it to then be stopped by someone with incredible authority's appearance.

Strio was a bit disappointed at the results, but learning to recognize strength was one thing that someone picked up on after awhile. And this man seemed to be emanating with such power that commanded that respect. Nevertheless, with all the fighting done, it was time to go check on what made a guild a guild. The requests. Walking over to the board, the adolescent Coronid girl examined each and every one of them. Stopping bandits? Her people practically invented the standard for banditry! Such a trifling task was ill fit for her. Then there was finding treasures, which while it would do well to show her glory, caves and wings often did not go hand in hand.

After examining a few more, there seemed to be one dealing with a haunted house. Haunts generally had to do something with some kind of discontent spirit, and investigating them generally involved exorcising said spirits. Strio had absolutely no idea if that was a thing that the Coronids did, even when there Goddess was alive. However, if she could do it, then that could prove that any of them could do it! And having more skills was always better than less! As such, Strio had signed herself right up for the quest.

Mena, who was busy just sitting around doing nothing, eventually got up as she saw that people were starting to congregate towards a specific area. Getting herself off the bench, she walked over to see that the guild requests were now up and ready to be taken. She stopped, as she just sort of looked over each and every one of them. Thinking about it, Mena couldn't really think about any skills of hers that would excel at any of these quests. She wasn't a competent fighter, she had no experience in exploration and wasn't the best thinker. So really, all that left for her was...cleaning. The idea of coming all this way from home to start doing cleaning work, though, was not something that Mena was entirely pumped about. So, the only thing to do from here was just pick one at random.

The journey had been long. A tiring one where they had to be constantly on the lookout, ever ready for some kind of danger. And though it had been difficult, they had finally made it to the city of Prunus. As the duo entered the town, it was clear that some kind of festival had taken place; evident from the trash that littered the ground, the collateral damage that some structures seemed to have sustained and the overall amount of people that had been walking about. Two more faces were finding their way amongst their numbers now, with the intent of joining up with the great Cherry Heart guild.

“Somebody got a bit too excited around here,” Eyla commented. Based on the collateral damage, there had been a fight. Judging by the crowds, the pair had just barely missed it too. Damn. “Applying for the guild is free, right? People seem to want money for just about anything down here.”

Aubrey laughed and assured the foreign woman that it was. “That’s generally the way it is, yes, but joining a guild is free, if you want to look at it that way. You can sign up without paying, but when you do jobs they’ll take a portion of everything you earn as tax to fund them.” She shrugged and looked around at the city. “Cherry Heart was known to be one of the more fair guilds, back in the day, but there’s no way of telling if that still holds true. Worst comes to worst, we can take the coin we make from our first job and disappear.”

“I see. Let’s hurry up and find out for ourselves then.” With that said, Eyla eyed around the place until she found it. The stall for applying to the guild. Granted, she wasn’t the best reader, but she could tell what word she wanted to see. Not like there was much else that looked like a spot to apply for a guild anyway, which helped. Eyla made her way to the stall and looked at the application. These were all words she could understand. And so, she began filling her application in.

Aubrey followed her to the desk and picked up one of the applications herself. “It’s a rather bare application, isn’t it?” Regardless, she scribbled her first name and a fake last name on the sheet and placed it with the rest of them. Once that was done, she turned around to study the grounds a bit more, and noticed a large board with flyers posted all over it, and people crowding around to read them. “Aha. That’s where we’ll find a job to do.”

She looped her arm with Eyla’s and dragged the larger woman through the crowd toward the board. “This is what they call a Quest Board. People will post jobs for the guild here, with rewards and how difficult they’re going to be, and we can choose to take them.” She rubbed her chin and pushed past a few more people to get a closer look at the quests, squinting and ignore the loud shouts of protest. “I guess they use some kind of prestige system, but it says right here that joining the guild gave us one prestige, so we can take some of the harder quests. Are there any that stand out to you?”

Eyla looked at the flyers up on the board for a short while. Most would probably guess she was very carefully considering her choices or looking at each one in close detail, but the reality was she was just reading them one at a time. Then one word caught her attention. Eyla recognized that word; it was one of the first “longer” words she’d been taught to read or write. Murder. Seemed there was a killer on the loose somewhere. Pointing to the flyer detailing the quest with the murderer on the loose, Eyla answered with
“That one. A killer should put up a good...no, a decent fight. If I get to save a few more lives in the process, all the better.”

In this world, there exists those who walk at their own pace, completely ignoring the revolution of the world around them. Among those people is Lisei Chang, self-proclaimed strongest witch in the world and "justice-seeking good person who travels the world with no home of her own", which is a nicer way of saying she's currently unemployed and homeless. It hasn't been too long since she left the small-town guild of Tachikaze in search of tougher opponents and a taller hill she can loudly proclaim her superiority from. After a while of showing up at bars to fight hooligans and accepting quests from small villages, this young girl's travels has finally led her to the coastal city of Prunus. A beautiful place to say the least, with a wonderful view of the sea in one side and blossoming sakura trees on the other, all the while complemented by the somewhat antiquated architecture.

Lisei found herself overlooking the small town under the sakura tree atop one of the many hills surrounding the area. The sun was shining bright, and the blue sea beneath only intensified its rays. Though far away, she can already see that there's something big going on down there. A lot of commotion and a lot of people frolicking about despite it not being a known holiday anywhere on the continent of Arbolia. Naturally, this piqued the young girl's interest, as she hurriedly tumbled her way down the hill; bread, potions and other miscellaneous stuff falling out of the girl's backpack without her noticing. Once at ground level, she was immediately greeted by the wonderful smell of the sea and a refreshing breeze that made her bright red locks flutter about in the air. Oh, and, a flyer splatting flat on her face.

"Whoooo~♪ This place's quite nice-Mmph! Bwah! What the heck?!" Annoyed, she quickly pulled the flyer off her face and read the top few lines. "C-Cherry Heart... Festival today... Now receiving applic- Applicashuns?" Naturally, someone as strong and powerful as Lisei does not need to fully read a flyer to understand what it says. It's simple! Even idiots can understand this much. It just means that there's a "big fun festival happening and everyone is totally going there and there's gonna be super strong guys to fight, right?!" And with that, she's back to 100, rushing her way through the large crowd gathered around the festival area with a huge grin on her face, not paying any particular attention to any poor pedestrian who she might've inadvertently bumped into along the way.

===

Here she is. At the heart of the Cherry Heart Ressurecttion(?) Festival. A place filled with strong guys! She's gonna have the time of her life duking it out with other powerful mages (and beating them to a pulp, of course. She's the strongest after all.) and other good, fun guild-related things. For example, eating a crate of donuts as reward for saving a cat from a nightmarish creature of evil. But before she could do all that, she's gonna have to apply for the guild. Which means... Doing paperwork. Her one exploitable weakness. The one thing she's not the strongest at. As Lisei made her way towards the application booth, she noticed that there was an arena where members would presumably fight in, though there's no one there at the moment.

"Hello, little miss. Are you here to be a Guild Member? Or perhaps, your parents would like to join?" Said the lady in charge of handling applications, with a pleasant smile on her face. Lisei's short stature meant that she's barely tall enough to put her arms on the stall to write comfortably, making her look even more like a child from the lady's perspective.

"No! No! I wanna join! Gimme the form!" The lady was understandably somewhat shocked at Lisei's response, but she remains calm and unflinching. It's not that big deal anyway; "just a kid being a kid" she thought to herself. Handing Lisei the application form and pen, she watched silently as the younger girl started scribbling away.

The end result was... Messy, to say the least. Her handwriting was nigh-unreadable, but all the required info is there, so there's no problem. At least she didn't ate the paper, or ripped it apart.

With that done, Lisei head off to explore the festival grounds a bit more, eventually finding herself on the Quest Board. Of course, she just sort of stared awkwardly at the flyers and papers pinned on it. The quest descriptions are really rather vague, so none in particular caught her eye. It wasn't until she overheard the conversation of two other girls near her. One had fairly normal-looking black hair, but the other had hers in bright pink. It's hard not to notice the pair, admittedly.

“This is what they call a Quest Board. People will post jobs for the guild here, with rewards and how difficult they’re going to be, and we can choose to take them.”

"Well, obviously. DUH. You guys have to be total noob wizards if ya need that explained to you. Keheheh!"

She snickered out loud, but the rest of her mental conversation thankfully didn't leave her mouth. She continued listening in, until the dark-haired girl pointed at a certain quest.

“That one. A killer should put up a good...no, a decent fight. If I get to save a few more lives in the process, all the better.”

Lisei punched the area under the flyer gently, but with enough shockwave magic so that the flyer would glide down to her hand neatly. "Ya'll gonna have to count me in on that quest. Beating up bad guys sounds fun, and I bet I can beat up more of them than you can, keheheh~♪"

It was a new day and after a good nights sleep and a magical chat with his family Henry awoke to find everyone gathering and gearing up. Henry was happy as mages started clearing out by the teams to go about on their respective quest. Though he did want to have an adventure his mother raised him not to be disrespectful. If he made a mess then he should be respectful. Besides its not like he wasn't used to cleaning up after big events like this. It was one of the few downsides of being a socialite. The clean-up after the party. He looked around as more people were leaving and probably bonding. He was slightly disappointed that it looked like he was the only one of the applicants who chose to stay behind and clean. Especially since it was a five man brawl and he wasn't even the one who made the crater. Granted, someone that strong anyway would probably want to go out and test their strength.

Henry wrote his name on the quest board and simply went to work. First thing to do was to find safe place to set up all of the trash he was surely going to accumulate. Now what to take care of first? Since I'm the only one here I should have to tackle the hardest duty first. He thought to himself. Dishes it is then! He yelled as it looked like he was about to take on a grueling challenge with gusto.

~Cleaning Music~

Henry made his way to the kitchen and drew the water to the perfect temperature that he would need. He then walked out back to the main hall and saw plates and cups everywhere. Alright then I guess if no one is looking then I can do this rather crass. Henry clapped his hands and out came to magical arrays. Alright let's make the assembly line! STRAIGHT FLUSH! Waves and waves of cards pour out of the arrays and they proceeded to turn in larger collective platforms that formed under the plates and dishes of the inner guild hall. Henry began to wave his hands like a conductor and started to lift and move every dish. scrape the plates clean into one of a system of garbage cans he had set-up and from their in to his nicely prepared dish water. He's preformed this feat many of times before so naturally everything was progressing smoothly.

It looks like my first quest is going quite well he said to himself, amused by his performance on the "battlefield" as it were. It was then he actually noticed that he wasn't truly as alone as he thought. It appears that whoever chose this quest was getting some form of  supervision from an angry looking woman who he had not seen before all while he was here. Um...hello? He said/asked quite nervously.

The festivities continued with as much energy after the guildmaster had finished his announcement and applicants to the guild had picked their first quests. It went on and became even livelier during the night, but around midnight, everyone had packed their belongings and rested, while most of the new guild members slept on the Guild Hall in peace for the rest of the night. As dawn broke through the horizon the next day, its beautiful light highlighted the old building, showing its majesty...while also showing its age. It was quite a pity, but even the once-grand building was starting to show some signs of disrepair, not to mention the entire mess left by the party yesterday. Of course, the guild had planned a way to handle it, so a request was put from the guild as a quest yesterday, acting as a way so they could get some of the guildmembers to help them make the guild building great again.

Nevertheless, the main hall was bustling with activity. People preparing for quests, some traveling merchants and guides trying to sell their services to anyone that would listen, and there was even some late applicants to the guild, which would usually still be accepted. After all, turning down applicants wouldn't serve a guild any good, especially for one that needed to rise again to its former glory. And for that purpose, a woman was there, standing while looking around somewhat impatiently.

She was a mature-looking woman with a sharp gaze, coming from her purple irises. Her long, overflowing hair was grey, her bangs were somewhat obscured by the militaristic hat that she wore. She chose to wear what looked like a black, one-piece lingerie, but it was obscured mostly by her large, decorated military coat, although of course, glimpses of what's inside could be seen at times, including the cleavage made by her ample mounds. Outside of those, a belt adorned with a golden buckle, and stockings themed similarly to her hat and coat, she chose to not wear anything else.

Her name was Yelena Theodora Hahn, who was apparently an associate of Tyson Firebrand, and now she's helping him running this guild temporarily by becoming his assistant...although she would never refer to herself as such. Today, she was meant to supervise the start of the renovation of the guild, but it seemed that most of the applicants of the quest hadn't arrived just yet. And it irritated her somewhat, however the fact that Tyson was around, not really that far away from her as he was talking to reporters right now, made her try her best to not look agitated. Granted, she was mainly agitated since she had forced herself to come here on-time, even sacrificing the fact she needed to dress properly firsthand, only to find that no one was around.

However, she soon noticed a sharply dressed man, the type she would usually find at casinos, who was going towards the quest board, and filled in his name on the exact quest she was supposedly supervising. Apparently, he was the only taker of the quest so far, but before Yelena could approach him, he seemed to have an idea of his own on what to do, and went into the kitchen. Of course, as his supervisor, Yelena ended up tailing him without bothering to mention her presence to the man, who was apparently named Henry Whitley according to what he wrote on the board.

"Alright then I guess if no one is looking then I can do this rather crass."

"What was he doing...?" Yelena wondered to herself. Henry was seemingly going to clean the mountain of dishes that had accumulated from yesterday and today's breakfast, but the way he set it up looked quite weird. He even made an orderly system of garbage cans for this. Yelena was going to call out on this perceived waste of time, but Henry had started doing his magic by then.

"Alright let's make the assembly line! STRAIGHT FLUSH!"

The reasoning behind his action became clear. He was now using an array of hundreds of playing cards (which explains the look he chose) and used them as moving platforms while he cleaned the dishes one by one using his magic, pretty much like conveyor belts in factories that was directed by an orchestral conductor. Hard to admit, but Yelena was pretty impressed at the man's usage of his magic. At the very least, even if she's stuck with only him for the rest of the day, it would still be plausible to finish the clean up and renovation for the day. Though, soon Henry seemed to sense something off, and turned around to look at her, awkwardly realizing that he was being watched the whole time.

"Um...hello?"

Well, if he noticed her, then there's no point in delaying her introduction.

"I am Yelena, and today I shall be your supervisor on this quest you have taken. You've done quite a nice work here, but there's still more things left to do, so keep your pace.

Continue doing the dishes for now, then dispose of the garbage to the dumpster far behind the main hall building, and then report to me once you're done. I expect you to then clean the ceiling and polish it by a bit. It looked quite old and weary now, unfitting of the glory that we're trying to regain.

Understood? I will now take my leave. I will be in the main hall if you need to find me." Her words were not harsh, but those were said in such a tone that it still came off as being pretty nasty, one way or another. Yelena then left Henry to finish his work after saying those. While she still looked somewhat grumpy, she gave of a faint smile before hiding it back behind her usual stern look, turning around and not looking at the man again as she left the room.

Henry could only bow politely at the words of his supervisor. There wasn't much to be said. As a matter of fact Henry had been trained to say exactly what he should say in circumstances like this. "Yes mam" He said as she made her exit. Though he did find it odd that she didn't ask for his name at all. Though it is fair to say that if she was watching him the whole time then she simply saw him write his name down and just read that. Henry went back to cleaning and he realized that he had managed to get all of the dishes in the sink.

Well it looks like I can let those soak for a second he said as he rolled up his sleeves. Hmmm...with a flick of his wrist cards piled under all of the garbage and made it so that they floated on platforms. He proceeded to walk upwards and did not even think as cards seemingly formed steps that were perfect for him to walk on. While it was something he didn't really televise it, he was very creative with his powers when it came to getting chores done. He simply climbed these stairs to the ceiling and pointed outwards. The floating platforms of garbage were carried outside to the dumpster as per instruction. Meanwhile he was inspecting this ceiling that his supervisor spoke so highly of. After using his finger to wipe off a layer of dust he noticed that this was probably going to be something he would have to end up doing by hand. For all the times my cousins would be useful.

Henry stylishly floated to the ground and made his way back into the kitchen and grabbed every spare rag he could muster. Now it was easy for him to actually maintain all of these card tricks at once just as long as he wasn't in combat this level of concentration wasn't at all taxing to him. However, usually one of his cousins who knows water magic would cover this task. Henry hosed every rag with soapy water a with a sweeping motion had his cards go to work. Within no time the ceiling was being scrubbed down with what looked like floating rags.

While that is being done I guess I could get started on the dishes.

"So this is the place. Hm."  Within the city of Prunus, there stood a particular building. One that stood out from among the rest of them. It was taller, more lavish and definitely had a much larger presence to it then any of the other  buildings that stood around town. Without a doubt, that was the main building for the guild, Cherry Heart. Walking towards the building, the town itself seemed to be more on the quiet side. Less as though it were the norm, and more as if it were taking a break from something. Continuing to look around the rest of the city, based on how it appeared like a small storm had run through here, there was probably some grand sort of festival that had gone on recently. Which probably meant that he was a far later arrival than most. Ah well, not much to help that.

As he continued to close in on the building, he noticed a board with all different kinds of flyers on it. Skimming through what they all had to say, it was pretty self evident that this was the request board that the guild had. While he was not a member quite yet, and thus didn't particularly care about looking at this board any further, there was one that stood out in particular. As he saw that there was a request to clean up the place, he looked back at the guild hall, to see that it had one quality that stuck out above the rest of the buildings. It was certainly older, and thus, looked to be in more need of renovation than any other.

As he made his way into the building, he saw someone who had the bearing of an official standing watch over the main room of the guild. As the official in question came into full view, though, his eyes began to take in each and every feature of the woman. While hair length was not a preference he often paid much mind, hers stood out to him. The long, waist length hair went complementary with the silver coloration it possessed, almost as if the two were perfectly designed to fit together in such a way. This was only highlighted further by the purple coloration of her eyes, creating quite the enchanting allure from just the neck up already. But such was not even the most enrapturing part of her appearance.

The woman's figure was, too, nothing to scoff at, possessing an attractive shape to it, though short of perfection. Then there was her attire. Donning what was normally used as formal wear, one that would be seen on a person who meant to command respect and used to completely cover the body. However, contrasting it by so flagrantly wearing bed wear that accentuated her already gifted physical assets, yet still concealed enough that it left room for the imagination. Such a contrast only highlighted the exposed area even more, making it even more alluring. And keeping it unattainable with the stern expression she held across her face, truly this woman was an alluring beauty of quality that he had not seen in quite some time. Neru already knew that his decision to come here was the right one.

However, where most men would have cooed or drooled in the presence of such sexual appeal, Neru remained calm. The expression on his face ever flat, with the only tell that he was thinking of something to be him nodding to himself. As he continued to admire the woman, he then realized he had forgotten something important. His attention snapping back to the task at hand, he gave a short wave to the woman. "Right, hello. I'm here to join your guild. Would I be correct in assuming your the person to talk about that?"

"Right, hello. I'm here to join your guild. Would I be correct in assuming your the person to talk about that?"

"A new addition...right. The application table is over there at the center of the hall, and the quest board should not be too far away. I don't see any reason to reject applicants for now....so just fill your full identity in the prepared form, and then pick a quest from the board. However, please note that most quests that already had takers would probably already been underway to a point where it'd be awkward to join them, and you would need at least a few-

Now that I think about it, nevermind. Go fill your application form, and return to me. We still need some hands in tidying up this place, so that's the perfect quest for a late-taker like you. Your first task would be to fix the crater on the arena outside, and repaint the borders.

Understood?"

Smiling as she was, Yelena tried her best to keep her voice stern as to not give off the impression that the guild was lax or anything similar. It'd be easier for the administration if this new guy and whoever else that'd come today to apply would be stationed into cleaning duty, since that would mean she didn't have to organize the transport and expenses from a sudden, extra quest of the day. Organizing the quests that were taken and currently being underway was quite tiring enough. Granted, having them do nothing since Henry was practically acting like the best janitor in the world would...be pretty bad. She might as well just have the new recruits idle around while only giving the prestige to Henry because he's really the only one doing much as of now.

Eh, that could be thought about more later. For now, it's best to just see how things go from this point on.

"...Why are you just wearing a lingerie?"

Just as Yelena was going to relax for a bit after sending the new boy off, a new person arrived. She looked to be quite young with her shorter than average height, but her expression and body frame was that of an adult. That mattered little, but whoever she was, that was not something that Yelena would appreciate as a way to greet her. With an annoyed look, she stared at this new girl.

"...None of your business. And do you come here just to insult my dressing sense? Our guild has its doors open to visitors to see how we work, but the doors are also open so we can kick any nuisances out without too much hassle."

The girl was a bit surprised with Yelena's yapping, but soon seemingly realized on what she did to invoke such a reply.

"I was just curious, nothing more." She said, in a somewhat apologetic manner. "And of course, I am here not just to ask this question - it's just something that I see as peculiar since it's...quite indecent to walk around in your underwear, at least according to myself. Well, at least you're not running around naked, and I think no one in this guild would be indecent enough to-

Oh, I'm sorry for rambling about unimportant things. Back to something more important." The girl was going to go on a long talk regarding proper clothing etiquette, but Yelena's dagger-like stare stopped her from doing so. It's not like the girl had that much room to talk since her outfit was quite revealing anyway. Yelena mumbled something that would probably mean "hypocrite" in her native language before listening to what else the new girl had in store.

"My name is Celica, and I am here to join this guild." That was the expected answer. "As a part of the Yggdrasil Guild's Startup policy on mage guilds, I am their representation to assist this guild to properly get off the ground without a hitch." That was fine-

...Yggdrasil?!

"W-wait, what the h-"

"This is for the guild's best interest, and well...I don't think my superiors would take no as an answer. So, the registration table's over there, right? I'll be going then. Thank you for your time, and I'm sorry for bugging you in this beautiful morning."

Celica bowed at the still frozen-in-surprise Yelena, before going towards the registration table. It took a bit for Yelena to recover from the shock of what was just happening, and the first thing that was on her mind was to just immediately kick the new girl out, especially being from that place of all things. However, with how much it'd complicate matter despite it seemingly being the obviously simplest way to answer this issue, Yelena just sighed and chose to let that new girl be for now.

"The guildmaster must be informed on this as soon as possible once he had a spare time."

"Hey, hello there!"

Celica approached the tall, black-haired man (Neru) from behind. She positively looked like she was younger than the man thanks to her lack of height, but Celica was aware that probably several years older than him at worst. Nevertheless, she greeted him nicely since it's a nice thing to do. She had been chosen to be stationed here, into this long gone legendary guild that had been revived. To be a part of two legendary guilds at once was something that many people would be dying for, and there she was, doing it as a part of what her main guild told her. So of course, since fate's for once being this kind, she had to try to get close to the people here, or at the very least, get a good lasting impression on them. Though, she probably screwed her first meeting with that lingerie woman earlier, but that shouldn't matter.

"Applying to the guild too, right? I think since we'll be in this guild together, I should introduce myself to you so I can know you better, and vice versa. Introduction's pretty important, after all.

I'm Celica here, and who are you?"

Neru stood there, listening to what the woman had to say next about his tasks at hand. The application process seemed easy enough, though there was one thing that she said to him that stood out. He'd have to fix a crater. The crater she was talking about was definitely something that he had seen on his way here. However, he wasn't quite sure how one went about fixing a hole in the ground. Nevertheless, as she finished, he simply nodded his head and said, "yes ma'am." With that taken care of, Neru walked his way over to the registration table in order to fill out the proper paper work first. Looking at the sheet of paper, it didn't seem all that difficult in order to fill out. If anything, the standards this guild had with its recruitment process was exceptionally low. Though, that was probably just the fastest way they could think of to gain relevance after all this time lying dormant. So Neru just stood there for a bit, all while filling out the form.

As he was finishing up writing down something, he heard someone approach from behind, though didn't bother to turn around. As the female voice asked if he was applying to the guild as well, he just a small nod with, "yup." As she continued rambled on, she then introduced herself, to which then Neru turned around to face her. Looking down to her, he flatly replied, "Neru." He then turned back around to finish what he was working on, before letting go of his paper and grabbing a second one. Turning back around, he extended the writing utensil and blank form to the girl behind him asking, "you're applying too, right?" After handing it off to the girl, he then grabbed his own sheet and waited for her to finish before going back to the other lady from before. She probably had the same task as him, so it wouldn't make much sense to just try and get ahead of her in this.

As she did, he went to go submit in his form before walking outside to go fill up a crater. Walking outside towards the place of interest, he briefly wondered what to do about the whole hole in the ground situation, before noticing the environment. There was stray piles of dirt kicked up everywhere, most likely coming from whatever was on top of this crater to begin with. After just a bit more scanning around, Neru walked over to where a shovel was and picked it up. Planting the tool in the ground, he unbuttoned his shirt and rolled up his sleeves before looking back to the Celica girl, or, woman as her figure would have implied otherwise. "I'm just going to fill this hole in with the surrounding dirt, feel free to join in. Unless you've got some better way."

It took a minute but after some serious labor Henry's two task so far were completed. He had managed to actually polish the ceiling and wash all the dishes. Subsequently, he even managed to wash all the rags that he used to polish the ceiling. Certainly he was in the right direction of actually completing his quest. Though to be fair this is something he was more than used to so maybe it wasn't the most challenging quest for him to start off with. With a sigh of relief he looked around and wondered what next to do.

Oh right, the crater that made me want to stay in the first place. I guess I should get to that then.

As Henry walked over to the place where the arena was he looked on and noticed that there were two new people who were already by the damage site. He didn't make himself known yet just to see what kind of people they were, but one thing was for sure...they were strong. A random skill Henry picked up working at casinos. Some people you could tell were always more tense and overpowering than others. Sure they would hide it with a smile, but it was more like you couldn't fool basic animal instincts. Funny though as this was just more amazing for him to prove he was part of a legendary guild. "Hmmm I should interact with them, but there may be more chores to do before hand." Henry thought out loud. "Besides if they are truly part of the guild then I'll have plenty of time to get to know them."

Henry then peeled off back to where Ms. Yelena was stationed and let the two new people have their own conversation. As he made his way into her office he could see the look of complication written all over her face. Henry could only raise an eyebrow though he immediately surmised that those two new recruits may have done something to set her off. Then again he thought to himself it could be any world of things. So there was only one true way to be of help...

Ms. Yelena I have finished the tasks you've asked is there any other way I can be of service to you? He said with bow.
