You know what's cute about these? The fact that the last effect says 'sent from field to Graveyard'. So you could, like, equip 1 to something, then Xyz or whatever with the monster they are equipped to/send the equipped monster to the Graveyard, and still gain the effect.

It's nice.

Soooo... Superheavy Samurai Soulpiercer says "'sup".

I've gotta say, these do it way better though. I wonder if AB, BC, & AC will each be immune to the card types specified in their fusee counterparts like how XY, XZ, and YZ had stats based on the boosts given by the equips.

Uh, I just noticed, the translation for Dragon Buster here is wrong.

ABC-Dragon Buster
Level 8 LIGHT Machine-Type Fusion Effect Monster
ATK 3000
DEF 2800
Fusion Materials: “A-Assault Core” + “B-Buster Drake” + “C-Crush Wyvern”
Must first be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards from your side of the field and/or your Graveyard. (You do not use “Polymerization”.)
(1) Once per turn, during either player’s turn: you can discard 1 card, then target 1 card on the field; banish it.
(2) During your opponent’s turn: You can tribute this card, then target 3 of your banished LIGHT Machine-Type Union monsters with different names; Special Summon them.

Well, ut's an SD. They'll get more.

not 100% sure

Yugi SD implies that we're getting Gazelle/Berfomet and Poker Knight retrains, given the new alt art for Arcana Knight Joker/Chimera reprint.

So maybe so, maybe not.

Also, BriFu seems absurd with these, and Deskbot 001 may be worth teching.

I hope so.  The very first pack I opened as I kid contained an Ultra Rare XYZ-Dragon Cannon.  I was like, what, 8?  Such nostalgia.  The very first deck I tried to build on my own was XYZ, and later VWXYZ.

I want them to be good so bad

These look fun, and yay more Unions that are decent to good. I find funny how B-Drake's searching effect cannot miss timing, unlike Machina Peacekeeper's; also it can search for a copy of itself, for whatever that's worth.

My only nitpick on these is that I wish the Fusion's (1) effect didn't have that discard cost, but that's just my evil side talking. Besides, on the upside it is a Quick-Effect, and that's cool.

I thought that materials that are attached to Xyz monsters aren't considered on the field anymore, thus the detached union monster wouldn't be on the field when it is sent to the Graveyard...?

lol Armz means you'd Xyz with the monster the Unions are equipped to.

Right, but when is the Union technically detached? Is it before or after the attached monster becomes an Xyz material? Because depending on the timing the union monster may not be considered on the field.

You're not understanding.

Field: A, B, C.

A equips to B.

B + C = Rank 4,

A is sent to grave.

I understand that perfectly fine. But when A is sent to the Grave, is it still considered on the field because the card it is attached to, B, is no longer on the field. Or does B leaving the field force the detachment, thus resulting in A still being considered "on the field"?

If B moves anywhere that is not the field, A will kill itself.  That's how equips work.  Doesn't matter how or to where B moves, if it is not on the field, then A is technically equipped to nothing and is automatically destoryed

If they are destroyed/sent from field to Graveyard -> Effect goes off

If they are tributed/sent from field to Graveyard -> Effect goes off

If they are used as Synchro Material/sent from field to Graveyad -> Effect goes off

If they are equipped to a monster and sent from field to the graveyard -> Effect goes off

etc

It doesn't honestly matter. They just have to be sent from anywhere on the field to your Graveyard, and you get the effects of them.

Dunno' why that's hard to understand.
