Number 24: Dragon Nosferatu Dragulas

Wyrm/Xyz/Effect

2 Level 6 Monsters

(1) Once per turn, during either player’s turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 face-up Monster that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck; change that monster to face-down Defense Position.

(2) If this face-up card leaves the field due to your opponent’s effect: You can Special Summon this card in face-down Defense Position.

(3) If this card is flipped face-up: Send 1 card on the field to the Graveyard.

ATK/2400 DEF/2800

 

This card is pretty crazy since it can just keep coming back and popping cards if you keep flipping it face up, plus its (3) effect sends and doesn't target.

I love that it's Wyrm-Type. There's no reason not to have it be, but it is just funny to see it with a Type released after Zexal.

 

This seems like a pretty awesome card seeing that the detach is quick, and although the re-summon doesn't work if it is destroyed by battle, you can target itself with the detach effect if they try to attack over it.

I'm just gonna get it out of my system now;

Why the flying funk is it a Wyrm-type? It's a Zexal-era card and has no business having a type introduced after Zexal.

 

I love that it's Wyrm-Type. There's no reason not to have it be, but it is just funny to see it with a Type released after Zexal.

Funnily enough that's my one complaint about the card; being a Wyrm-type, to each their own I guess.

 

OT: Other than that, it's a very decent card, definitely one of the better Rank 6s.

Dont mind that much that is a wyrm, although that takes out astral force as an option

But they could have make it Rank 5 to match it with vampires (I mean Nosferatu-Dracula, c mon konami)

 

Artwork is Sick i love this s***, wonder if will have its name changed when it comes to the TCG

a beautiful Number. basically a slightly limited Book of Moon within respectable stat. that revival effect though...laugh at any non-destruction removal, like really loud. and the irony that after that it can apply its own non-destruction removal of its own

 

so 24 eh? in onyomi readings 2 can be read as "Ji" while 4 as "Shi". you can pronounce it as "Jishi" or "Ji Shi" (with space). Jishi means "Own Death" while Ji Shi means "Flip it". while in Kunyomi readings 24 can be read as Futa (2) and Yo (4), which form "Futayo" meaning two generation or 2nd generation. this alluding to fact that Vlad III Dracula or Vlad Tepes which vampiric Dracula legends based on is the 2nd generation of his respective bloodline of its royal family.

 

that book of moon effect can be based on how Vlad Impale those who against him and make a forest (or wall in several version) of high-hanging Impaled people in his land borders. as its shut down opponent monster by forming wall of face-down monster.

Ooh, another new Number. I'm starting to wonder how many slots are left in this pack, because they're throwing us a handful of new Numbers. This is like the sixth new one, and seventh released? (24, 45, 51, 59, 78, 98, and 100)

 

It's a Rank 6 and it's a Wyrm. That's...intriguing, and I have no issue with it being a Number given a Type that was released post-Zexal. Numbers are cards from another world, after all.

 

2400/2800 stats is fairly solid. And it has a Quick Effect Book of Moon for monsters SSed from the Extra. That's decent, I guess. Can even use it on itself, if you wanted to.

 

If it LEAVES THE FIELD by an opponent's effect, you SS it facedown. That means it even can be SSed if banished, since it doesn't specify where you Summon it from. Although that also suggests you can SS it if they returned it to the Extra Deck with Compulsory or similar.

 

And when it's flipped, it sends 1 card to the Graveyard. This doesn't target, it sends, but it's mandatory, so if it's the only card out, don't flip it yourself, because then it gets rid of itself.

 

The real question is...what can use this? I don't know of many Rank 6 heavy Decks, and due to it being Wyrm, it can't really be used in any Rank-Up Decks that use Astral Force. You could bring it out with Soul Shave in RRs, but...why would you?

It's first effect is Book of Moon esque, it's second is easy to abuse to cope up with the third one......This card is just like many say, overpowered.

no consistent Rank 6 engine - checked

severely limited BoM effect - checked

unique typing to prevent Rank-up shenanigan - checked

(ironically) prone to complete annihilation while in facedown, if you don't have chances to flip this fast enough -  checked

 

quite annoying? yes, OP? i don't think so.
