This card seriously serves no purpose except to promote unhealthy Exodia OTKs. All it does is limit player interaction to nothing, it turns your game to solitaire. I think the game would lose absolutely NOTHING if this card was never seen again, and it's my pick for the most poorly designed card that isn't on the banlist, for how narrow it's niche is but also for how unhealthy and insulting to your opponent that niche is.

RML has cool uses (like Judgment books) and really isn't used in many potent ftks anymore

It's actually been a couple formats since I've been Exodia'd. Honestly I think they should just ban the head and remake it.

If you're losing to exodia with Upstart limited and Chicken Game banned, you need to think about your life really hard. 

 

Three spells is quite a grace period in any deck willing to use up their normal summon for this, or get enough resources to PS it out.

I still remain with my stance that RML is the one giving the FTK Decks the ability to do what they do. Without RML they're a mixture of +0s and -1s and will eventually run into a small hand that can't do anything. With RML they get free draws every three spells so the hand size is kept healthy.

 

If RML just had a OPT clause it wouldn't be so bad. FTKs won't keep their ability to draw their entire Deck, while other Decks will only very rarely feel the bite.

I used to run it in my spellbooks, before i dropped it in favor of spellbook organization. the card's lost much of it's potency with the respective death and maiming of 2 of the main cards that could be abused alongside it. either way, i wouldn't care either way if it got touched by the list. it does have non-degenerate uses, but they're few and far between.

It really isn't always about losing to a deck, but about how the game wasn't actually a game and was just a guy faffing about. And should they fail they either concede or let you put out your field and smack their face for free.

i never considered FTK to be a problem, its not consistent enough to make it into competitive, its just snatching win once in a while and its just as legit way to play as any other deck, most meta deck are designed to be solitaire to some degree anyway, plus with pendulum on the rise, this could potentially be playable again in other deck

 

if i could unmake a card (or series) i'd rather unmake the "Solemn" series
