GoyoDefender-BOSH-EN-R-1E.png

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

Once per turn, if all monsters you control are EARTH Warrior-Type Synchro Monsters (min. 1): You can Special Summon "Goyo Defender" from your Extra Deck. When this card is targeted for an attack: You can make this card gain 1000 ATK for each EARTH Warrior-Type Synchro Monster you control (other than this card), until the end of the Damage Step.

----

1) Decatron summon pitch Decatron.

2) Summon Pirmais

3) Synch into this

4) Make 2 more Defenders

5) Overlay into Leviair

6) Get Decatron, pitch Patrulea

7) Synch into Crystal Wing

profit??

NEVER MIND

Seems pretty bad.

To even make this, you have to start with Decatron and Pirmais and have a Pirmais in the deck, a monster which otherwise does not seem to contribute a lot in this format, OR not use Dekatron's effect and summon Antra.

Either way, you're not going to have a Decatron banished to pull back with the Leviair you make unless you've also milled one out earlier.

I've seen someone use this with Tatsunoko to make a Shooting Quasar Dragon with 3 attacks.  It was hilarious.

Literally all it is really decent for (and some ftk shenaningans) ... but I said decent, so the last can be ignored ... anyways this + e-tele or anyway to access a level 3 tuner would lead into coral dragon ... sounds decent, but not all too amazing, though it reduces the efforts for quasar to just 3 "main deck" synchro mats.

There's also being the easiest way to get N'Tess out without putting much dedication to it.

Anyone that thinks this card is plain bad is deluding themselves.

It's 3 free bodies that can be used for whatever. Terrortop + Red-Eyed makes it, it just happens to be worse than using Taketom for the TGU-esque play, but an extra level 3 body can't be ignored.

It's also earth, for meliae, so you could, like...

Terrortop -> Red-Eyed -> This x3 -> Meliae -> Dump Bulb and go 4

or other such sheet. It's not amazing, but it's a card that's going to sit and wait to be good, not bad by any means.

I love this card in the 2-card Quasar combo.

For those that don't know what that is:

1. Start with Terrortop and De-Synchro.

2. SS Terrortop by its effect, then add Red-Eyed Dice.

3. NS Red-Eyed Dice, and make Terrortop LV2.

4. Synchro for Defender, and use Defender to make 2 more Defenders.

5. Use De-Synchro on the original Defender to bring back Terrortop and Red-Eyed Dice.

6. Use Red-Eyed Dice to make Terrortop LV5, then Synchro for Coral Dragon.

7. Make Quasar using Coral Dragon (LV6 Synchro Tuner) and 2 Defenders (2 LV3 non-Tuner Synchros).

the card is incredible but in regards to the combo in the op you're probably better off using your infernoids to make ultimaya -> clear wing instead

even then there are better decks that make ultimaya like monarchs and shaddoll zombies

Or summon ntss, then make librarian!!!!!1!!!!!

thinking about it, that's actually a 2-card Quasar that draws 3 cards and pops 2.

Granted, it requires Soul Charge.

Terrortop into Red-Eyed (+1)

Make defender x3 (-2 monsters, +3 monsters)

2 Defenders make Meliae, dump Glow-Up Bulb (-2 monsters, +1 monster)

Meliae + Defender 3 = N'tss (-2 monsters, +1 monster)

Revive bulb (+1 monster)

Make Librarian and pop 1 (-2 monsters, +1 monster +1 pop)

Soul charge for top, red-eyed, N'tss, and Bulb (-1 spell, +4 monsters)

Red-Eyed + Top = Formula, draw 2 (-2 monsters, +1 monster + 2 draws)

N'tss + Glow-Up = 5, draw 1 pop 1 (-2 monsters, +1 monster +1 draw +1 pop)

All 3 make Quasar (-3 monsters, +1 monster)

almost definitely not the optimal play in that scenario, but adorable all the same.

One slight flaw in this combo is that "Elder Entity N'tss" cannot be special summoned by ways other than specified on the card itself. As such you cannot revive it with Soul Charge. You could however revive the properly summoned "Goyo Defender" instead. But this requires a different Synchro Tuner; "Accel Synchron" which sends "Jet Synchron" to lower its level could be used, or "Phonon Pulse Dragon". Note that this does net you less draws and pops.
