Bringerofcake
Neat. Glad we got a Meteor Black Dragon retrain. Kinda want to build Red-Eyes again
The Nyx Avatar
1st card: Too slow and not worth the effort. 2nd card: It's okay. Would've preferred it's last effect to trigger when it's removed from the field, but what can you do.
Blake
Now actually somewhat interested in Red-Eyes. While REF is probably still not amazing, at least it works with Labradorite, and gemini!eyes seems cute, if nothing else.
Pchi
The fact the Meteor Black Dragon retrain doesn't require a Normal Monster as a Fusion Material (unless Org has mistranslated its lore) is what sells it to me. Red-Eyes Fusion might finally see some real use (though I wouldn't be too hopeful). Also, geez, Konami has been spoiling us a lot lately with these reveals. Dragulas
So glad they finally see (they should have long ago but for the sake of the reply) what they did wrong on the archfiend dragon
Pchi
oh s*** i thought REF had a normal only clause, forgot it was just because Re-BSD was an a****** that opens up possibilities To be fair, the main problem Re-BSD wasn't that it required Normal monsters as materials. It was that it required 1 Normal Level 6 "Archfiend" monster as one of its material. Which not only defeats the whole purpose of releasing a Summoned Skull Gemini retrain along with REF, but also ends up serving only to clog the deck with dead draws, since there's no Dragon-Type Normal Archfiend yet (which could benefit from cards like Dragon Shrine, Silver's Cry and such) and most of REBD support is centered around Level 7 (not to mention Gospel of Revival only works on Level 7 or 8 :P). ~British Soul~
Quite a few of us wanted to see a retrained Meteor Dragon when Red-Eyes was confirmed for CORE and in the Insight topic, not gonna lie I'm glad we finally got it though, and the fusion not requiring a Normal monster is cool. I kinda wanna build chaos red-eyes hieratic nowSame, it seems like a cute idea.
Darj
Oh, a Meteor Black Dragon retrain, so nice. I have always been interested on that Fusion because it had such high ATK for a Level8 Vanilla Fusion made of 2 vanillas, even was stronger than Black Skull Dragon despite Summoned Skull being stronger than Meteor Dragon, and somehow became FIRE attribute. Now that I mentioned it, I kinda wish this retrain was FIRE as well...Anyway yeah, its Fusion material requirements should be its biggest selling point: not only it is not bound to Normal monster materials, but there are cute Level6 Dragons out there the Fusion could make use of. The Nyx Avatar
>Red-Eyes + a Level 6 Dragon This... Will either end up really good, or really badlyIt's still an easier material than the last Fusion. No, wait. Scratch that. They're both just as annoying, even if it's for different reasons. Ryusei the Morning Star
guys now we can actually use the red-eyes spell to search red-eyes fusion and not be called tras-- *shot*Still trash, what should I pitch? A light Pulsar I can't summon this turn? Hieratics are the way to go Dismissive Winter aside, it's it IS pretty good LPD set up since you can burn for 2800 and get Dr. Red's loop set up I just really think lowering your ceiling is bad yugimonz
玄魔の王
Also note that between this and Insight, it's now Much easier to get Red-Eyes Archfiend to work With the deck. Mill him and use Dragon's Mirror.

And yeah I think a lot of people wished that REF wasn't a ceiling killer.
Kaiji
"Ceiling killer" doesn't matter anymore now that the other issue of it being a mediocre T1 play has been completely solved.

Insight replaces Shrine to a degree, and you CAN set up hieratics I guess. Something like this, but - the rando milling + more selective movement

Armoire
Love the Meteor B. Dragon retrain; always nice to have options. Wondering if a Gemini build for Red-Eyes is viable now since all the retrains are Gemini. Not only that, but Spark Field is a thing now, too.
