I would've liked Bernie (which means "other"), but as he isn't on the ticket this time and is supporting Clinton, I have to vote elsewhere.

As I've probably stated before at some point in time, I don't trust Donald Trump to lead our country, due to how he's shown himself thus far. Granted, he does make a point about certain issues, but I can't imagine how he'll fare with our allies with that attitude of his. Yes, Clinton isn't perfect either, and there are certainly a number of scandals that will dog her.

If the other two made a name for themselves (talking about Stein and Johnson), maybe I would've considered them. For the record, I don't even know who the Independent guy on the ticket was.

Before this gets out of hand, refrain from provocative comments towards another member about how they feel about the candidates as a whole.

I'd like to double down on this.  Zero tolerance policy for attacking other members based on their choice for candidate.  Lets all be adults here.

To be honest, nobody on the list is first choice material. i'm fairly sure almost everybody's got some other person they'd pick in a heatbeat over the one's we've got to choose from now.

that said, if i had to choose, trump. his manners are lacking, but he's not really as bad of a guy as he's made out to be. that and the bias against him in much of the media just makes me want to vote him in just to see how many people would actually move to Canada.

Given the wording of the poll I casted my vote for other.

Because there are many more people I would have as my first choice for president of the United States over any of the options given.  The cat who was mayor of a US town for a few months sounds better than either of the option.

If, in all seriousness, I had to cast a vote for one of the candidates, it would be for Hillary because she and more so her party more closely align with my political views, and are far more likely to shift in the favour of my political views over the course of the term, and to set up the US to be in a position to meet my political views.

Considering that the scandals against Clinton are and have been massively overblown; that her policies are ones I've mostly agreed with during her time as Secretary of State; that Trump has done little to nothing to redeem himself in my eyes, neither in speech nor action; and that both Johnson and Stein have far too radical policies for my liking, my vote should be obvious.

There's nothing overblown about compromising national security.
