Been a way for a while, what all cards did Gauche get?[wikia removed the page of his deck list, and ones I've found don't seem updated]

He didn't get any actual character cards, but there are new Heroic cards Assault Halberd and Thousand Blades, and an overpowered Heroic Champion Xyz that is supported by them, which is Number 86.

-sigh- So it looks like the site deleted all of the OP characters in the spoiler when I was editing the first post. Looks like I'll have to add them all in again...

Also, what do you guys think about me banning Supply Unit?

I'd be kind of indifferent, personally. It is really good, but I dont think its actually relevant for the Character Format unless you're playing a something built around it, in which case you probably arent playing your character. But again, I wouldnt totally care either way.

i think that, on the contrary, whoever uses Supply Unit is just going to end up with the most advantage in the game. Because the format is slower, the +1s are going to be much more important. You're a lot less likely to take huge amounts of damage after you get something destroyed, and will therefore get more chances to use them. You don't have as much room for it, but it lets you draw into all the other cards you will have to play alongside it.

I like this idea but I have a suggestion. "Yusei" players could simply end up playing ordinary Synchron Quasar due to the extremely large amount of Yusei's cards that are used in the deck. I feel that something like that would be far too fast-paced for this format, so may I suggest limitations, in any combination, to:

A: Quickdraw Synchron

B: Doppelwarrior

C: Synchron Explorer (for the Quasar combo)

D: Ban Quasar (perhaps too drastic)

E: (This is perhaps too drastic again) Ban Dandylion

This is the deck I used in the most recent tournament, by the way. As always whenever I enter it, my Side Deck isn't a real Side Deck. just some cards I put in there for reference. Only things I actually moved in and out of it were Xyzs and MST. I don't know why I had Emeral in the ED other than to make Super-Transformations that were dead live again.

here's my decklist, 2 T71 isn't as clog as I thought when I made it, in fact I never discard it by Thunderbird in the whole tournament. idk why I put 2 Dweller in ED, since I barely Summoned it. Side deck is meh and I never shift to use that DNA Transplant strategy.

Anyone willing to do some tests with me this week? I want to test Bastion, Trudge, Mizar, Dumon, and Girag.

Also, updated Shark, aaand... I'm thinking Castel the Avian Skyblaster is probably going to be banned.

I can help like I did in the past with testing.

So, if shark can use number 101 @ 1 when no one else can, why can't kaito use number 62 @ 1 when no one else can?

Because I once used it, and it turned out to be too great, It's potential to run over any 5.6k+ beater or f***** fast OTK without so much effort (especially when Kaito's cards can make about 2-3 Lv.8s per turn) is too good even for OP tier, I prefer it to be banned like this, although if TC allow Kaito to use 1, then I'm fine, just tell myself to always pick him is good, right?

Guess I'll add a revised explanation as to why cards are on the banlist as they are.
Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning - Extremely easy to summon boss monster who has the potential to deal lots of damage and get rid of boss monsters quite easily who were much more difficult to summon.

Chain Material - Don't want FTKs ever. Aster especially could abuse this.

"Dragon Ruler" cards - Extremely easy to summon monsters with decent stats and who usually end up taking over the deck they inhabit.

Elemental HERO The Shining - Easy to summon and with stats most characters have trouble getting over, and rewards you when it is finally beaten. May go to 1.

Evilswarm Exciton Knight - Too easy to play, destroys setups instantly, and would always take a slot in the Extra Deck if able.
Exodia the Forbidden One - Should be obvious. Even if it's less consistent, don't want any FTKs/OTKs, and stall is boring.

Honest - Can take down any boss monster or turn a move into a game-winning one without the opponent being able to predict it. Plus too many people can use it.

Lightpulsar Dragon - Due to how easy it is to play, it becomes the focus of any deck that uses it, rather than supplementing it.

Machina Fortress - See above.
Number 11: Big Eye - Being able to steal boss monsters sucks really hard for the opponent.

Number 101: Silent Honors ARK (Limited for Shark) - Gets rid of bosses too easily, and without much risk. Would always take a slot in the Extra. Being tested with Shark at 1, as it is a Character card for him, and he has The Seventh One which would otherwise be fairly useless.

Number 62: Galaxy Eyes Prime Photon Dragon - Can dish out tons of damage in its respective deck, and otherwise runs over pretty much every boss in the format. Its ability to return in its respective deck is the nail in the coffin, though. Considered Limiting Galaxy Soldier and this to hurt Kaito, but would rather get rid of the easy boss monster.

Number 86: Heroic Champion - Rhongomiant - Even harder to stop this from being played in this format, and it can just do too much to stop the opponent in their tracks.

Shooting Quasar Dragon - OTKs are discouraged in this format, and Yusei can make this much too easily.

Soul Charge - Considered it for a while, but while lifepoints do mean more in this format, advantage does too, and this generates too much of it.

Theosophy of the Artifacts - Generates too many plusses, and basically becomes the best card of any deck it would be put in.

The following cards are limited:

Elemental HERO Absolute Zero - Field wiping is even more devastating here. Mask Change into Acid is one of the biggest reasons this is at 1.

Evolzar Laggia - Don't want it to become the entire focus of a deck, and its stun abilities are much more powerful here.

Chaos Sorcerer - Again, easy to summon and can get rid of boss monsters too easily. However, doesn't have as much potential for damage.

Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand - Extremely difficult to face for how easy it is to play, and too many characters would choose to run 2 of this.

Gear Gigant X - Don't want it to be the absolute go-to for decks that can use it, and it has decent stats for a powerful effect.

Gozen Match - A lot of characters are forced to play different Attributes, and don't have many options outside of that.

Rivalry of Warlords - As above, but with Types.

Infernity Mirage - Just wanted to help a tiny bit from having Infernities being as loopy and like the normal format deck.

Kaiser Colosseum - A number of characters can't do anything if they can't have 2+ monsters.

Lonefire Blossom - Completely changes the deck it is in to be focused around its targets rather than character cards, and summons big monsters too easily.
Power Bond - OTKs are discouraged in this format, but a lot of characters have this as a character card.

Royal Decree - Some characters rely extremely heavily on their trap cards, and most characters are forced to run at least 2 of them anyways. Plus it helps drive home OTKs.
These are the reasons that I could remember.

I am on DN, if you are ready to test out characters.

I only completed one character, but have two different variants of his deck.

EDIT: These were the decks I was using.

Zombie version needs something like Endless Decay to give it some potential to run over stuff, is also a bit too all-in for my tastes. Zombie World is a good "anti-meta" card against some characters, and lets Zombie Master pick out Luster Dragons and opponent's monsters. I'd definitely take out the Queen Dragun in the first one. Just had it for testing, really.

mizar is similar in the all in style, because once I went into to tachyon if he gets dealt with early he starts to fumble a bit[or at least he build I had anyways].

 • 2 weeks later...

Planning on posting a new normal tier tournament on the 20th, as a heads up to everyone. I'm going to be building those other decks I talked about soon for testing purposes, if anyone wants to do some trial duels before the tournament.

Also, just realized that Trudge has only one usable Spell, after all this time. Edited him.
