Sleepy
October is right around the corner. I wanna hear what YCM citizens members do. Weather it's just on the 31st or throughout the whole month. Weather it's getting candy, going to a party, telling spooky stories at a fire or a graveyard, going to haunted spots or Halloween attractions, decorating your place a certain way, watching horror movies, or making art related to the festivities of the night of all hallows. Northern Sage
I may or may not go on a several days long orienteering competition that may or may not lead to me not being home by Halloween. Lots of uncertainties. As much as I like the themes, outside of the Internet I don't really do much.
VictorSempra
Usually I sit at home and pass out candy. I'm hoping this year me and my friends can have some type of get-together and actually do something.
Toffee.
Weather it's getting candyINSERT PINKIE PIE IN HER CHICKEN COSTUME HERE...But on a seriousness note, October is always amusing because they bring out horror shows and what-not.Plus this also gives Cartoon Network/Boomerang an excuse to play episodes of Courage the Cowardly Dog... Heh...
Cin
Too old for all that jazz now saddly. All I end up doing is changing the background on my laptop for a few weeks. Plus there's no children round here.
CinnamonStar
I will probably read a few spooky stories, decorate the home a bit and make pumpkin cake. Otherwise I don't do that much on Halloween. Maybe a party.
Bender B. Rodríguez
Not sure what i'll do. Maybe scare/prank people. Play games involving demonic creatures (Diablo/Dark Souls). Possibly fly a dirt-bike across the Nebandan Flats. That's always fun...
Sleepy
I personally rarely do anything for Halloween, even though I always want it to be special. Back in the 90's, cartoons with their Halloween specials made it look so awesome, and my candy-gathering so lame in comparison. This year I wanna really get covered up in the spirit. Maybe something at "Creative writing", [s]maybe[/s] definitely at least one drawing, try to make my own decorations (budget hehe), going to a haunted trial at Balboa park (local place for me), and rather than giving candy, just making my yard into something entertaining that would scare people. I end this small comment with one of the pieces I like listening to this time of year, Danse Macabre by Camile Saint-Saens. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CHqhsMP80E
D.A._Sakuyamon
Online I'll be participating in the Halloween Events Dragon Cave presents every year. This'll be my forth year participating.I may also chaperon for my little sisters while they trick or treat.
VictorSempra
You know, I might try to get my friends together for a special Halloween D&D session at their college. That would be pretty fun. EDIT: Nope, apparently my pal's parents are finally getting married then. SO back to the previous: Staying home, handing out candy, watching TV. Darj
Since the last 2 years, things have gotten quite crazy on my neigborhood on 31st: Mostly teenagers and people in their mid-twenties show up at the streets in their costumes and party all night. I would say it became sort of a tradition by now, and most likely will happen again this year so I might just drop by. I was considering in getting a costume but I don't have any skill for making it myself so I would have to request someone to do it, and I don't want to know how expensive it would be. Βyakuya
Since my bro has grown out of Halloween, we've decided to go on a binging spree on candy. No one goes Trick-or-treating in our neighborhood anyways. Otherwise there would be a good chance friends gonna host a Halloween party.
Shradow
Well, I'll be turning 19 2 days before Halloween, so I'll probably just keep doing what I've been doing and getting free candy.
vla1ne
I'm probably going to set off all my leftover fireworks near unsuspecting children this year. other than that, there might be a few good parties to go to around here, so I'll see about that. Tentacruel
Well, I'm a bit too old to trick or treat without it being weird and I'm not even that into candy. I mean I'll eat it, but I regret it hardcore afterwards if I eat too much. I might just sit at home and give out healthy food just to be that guy. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Most likely, I'll be doing some Halloween event on an RPG I've been on for a while. Either that, or watching anime/doing homework. If I get the interest or if college/my friends ever get any Halloween event that I can go to w/out messing up my schedule, maybe I'll dress up and go (but I don't foresee that happening as of now). Of course, it'll have to be something relatively simple to do and won't cost that much, considering that I'm on college budget like a lot of people. [Although I haven't dressed up since end of middle school (well at least in front of my friends though...)] I don't have any younger siblings/cousins around, so taking them out for candy is out of the question. (Giving out candy, not really) So yeah, pretty much lurk on the net all night and watch the neighborhood kids go out and do their thing or academia things. a bad post
I always do cosplays because I can get away with this time of year at school. Maybe a few drawings. Probably going to highschool ROTC costume party, but that's about it. As for the actual day I'm having my friends over for a cosplay party, were we watch anime and horror movies. WhyDidIJoinThis-.-
Screw staying at home, I cba to just hand out candy. Screw going out, there's usually loads of creepy monsters and shit out on Halloween for some reaso- Dunno what I'd go as quite honestly. Meh, still deciding. Inb4 I decide to stay at home out of laziness and out house decides not to hand out sweets trololol. We need a Halloween ideas thread.
Tentacruel
Oh, pro tip. Leave an empty bowl out with a sign that says "only take one." Don't have to buy candy and no one knocks.
WhyDidIJoinThis-.-
Haha, just casually put it somewhere to give the illusion it haz sweets in, and they be looking like " :C ". Anyways, I'm thinking batman, but I can't find any decent costumes (that resemble that of The Dark Knight trilogy) for a cheapish price. Full sets I've seen are like £60+ And I'm only able to spend probably £30 for a costume. WHY BATMAN WHY. Inb4 I just buy black robes, the mask, and gauntlets. Sleepy
Oh, pro tip. Leave an empty bowl out with a sign that says "only take one." Don't have to buy candy and no one knocks. Then put it on a table with a long blanket to make people wary of what might come from under it, but don't actually put anything there. Maybe fake body parts to scare whoever lifted it out of curiosity. Make sure the table is near a tree or an accessible window to make kids hesitant. Add some spectral music and install a hidden camera. Finally, find a hideout at some place nearby that's neither of the above mentioned (maybe with a scare helper in the window) and prepare to enjoy your night bullying little kids with expensive bait. Mwahaha
