Dynamist Rex
WATER Machine/Pendulum/Effect
LV5
Scale 6/6
2400/2200
Pendulum Effect: Before resolving a card effect that targets another "Dinomist" card(s) you control, you can negate the effect, then destroy this card. This effect can only be used once while this card is in the Pendulum Zone.

Monster Effect: At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can Tribute 1 other "Dinomist" monster, then activate 1 of these effects;

● This card can attack an opponent's monster again in a row, also, if it attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.
● Shuffle 1 card from your opponent's hand (at random) or field into the Deck, then this card gains 100 ATK.

Can I just say that I am FLIPPING OUT over this card AND HOW MUCH I LOVE IT?! You KNOW I'm gonna make a deck of these once the others are released, even if they suck, and YOU KNOW I'm gonna try and shoehorn in Machina Fortress. DISCUSS.

I had a feeling that one of the new Elemental Pendulum Archetypes introduced alongside the Dracoslayers would be Machine-Type, and perhaps WATER, but never would I guess that they'd use steampower as its theme - genius design insofar as flavour is concerned. Now I wonder if all Dynamist will be based around Dinosaurs, or if other kinds of animals will be represented.

I'm curious to see how these come into play with the Dracoslayers; we might end up seeing something REALLY cool come out of these. Then again, Prominence really set the bar high...

So does Majester, though people underrate it.

It'll be a Fusion, so it has a lot of potential to be busted or terrible. Mostly depending on if it needs a fusion spell or not, and if they get a good themed one.

Though, Odd-Eyes Fusion would be able to summon it, so that's a plus.

Taking into consideration the fact that we now have Card #1 of potentially Water Zoids.dek, I'm throughly intrigued as to what the other members will be like.

But Metal Fish and Mech Bass be DAMNED if the fact that this thing alone is a Water Machine isn't getting me hyped up. I think I worded that properly.

WHAT. A PENDULUM THAT ISN'T A DEGENERATE EXCUSE FOR A CONINUOUS SPELL?!

LIES

Artwork is Kreygasm as funk tho. Curious to see how the rest of the archetype plays out.

Are you trying to say that this even degenerate? Because it looks very much like it's going to be an annoying Archetype to deal with if they continue being as good as this card.

I felt Qliphorts weren't that bad when the first few were revealed, then it turned into what it is now, one of my least favorite Pendulums Archetypes in terms of design.

Annoying =/= Degenerate nessisarily.

I was more reffering to the fact that almost 60% of pendulums nowadays are just search the searcher of your searcher and win.

Well, Igknight's whole theme was about that, though with Majespecter they are certainly that. Also, annoying, degenerate, whatever you want to say.

Aggro pendulum archetype with a boss that they can actually pendulum summon is always welcome.

Being steam-powered mechanical dinosaurs is the cherry on top of the awesomeness.

wait no I got that mixed up - the entire point of this is the steam powered mechanical dinosaurs.

The effect somewhat emulating BLS looks pretty fun, tbh.

You know... I just noticed that the side weapons are connected to valves on the This monster's sides. So if that's the case, and assuming all weapons are connected by the valves, then this reinforces my Zoids theory, since the valves are just the caps/connecton points that Zoids have. So how about that...

Well, Igknight's whole theme was about that-

The idea behind Igs is that you load up a gun, then open fire on the opponent. It's why they are all the same sort of monster; You can't exactly load a gun with different kinds of ammo.

This card is cool.

Decent scale effect, great monster effect. I find funny how the opponent is not safe from the removal effect even if it has a clear field, since this hits the hand as well; or if there is nothing to remove, it can attack twice and put more damage on board instead. The versatility is kinda scary, now that I think about it.

Not a big fan of Zoids nor Pendulums, but I like the archetype because of their apparent steam theme, Machine is one of my favorite types, and they have an underused combination (WATER/Machine); also they look promising if the rest of the Dynamists will be anything like this card over here. This should be obvious but I bet their playstyle will be to Set up scales --> Pendulum swarm --> attack --> trigger effects --> rinse and repeat.

If they get enough Level4s (if any), it would be amusing to drop Bahamut Sharks, and possibly retrieve resources with Salvage if they have monsters with 1500 or less ATK.

I've just noticed a weird thing about this card: its Pendulum lore mentions that its effect can only be used once while it's on the Pendulum Zone, but since, according to the current wording, it's immediately destroyed after its effect resolves, rendering the whole point of the restrictive clause moot unless your opponent somehow manages to negate its effect without destroying it. Could it be that there's a translation mistake here?
