Number 81: Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Superior Dora

Recommended Posts

Number81SuperdreadnoughtRailCannonSuperi

2 Level 10 monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; this turn, it is unaffected by other card effects, except its own.

The all-star in Trains, really. I rebuilt the deck recently and this guy just puts in so much work, and its so silly how easy it is to get him out turn 1. I've had players just outrght quit before their turn came because they just didn't have a way to deal with this thing or didn't want to.

Discuss the boss-man of Trains.

Choo choo ♫

DollTrain.dek is my favorite Doll build right now, not sure about the other.

This guy here is preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetty much useful, either protect from card effect, or trolling opponent when they try to equip a card, just target the monster that would be equipped, it's unaffected by the equip spell :P

Ah the weakness is pretty much Mr.StealYoMonsters.dek (Graydle.dek), unaffected but at the end, they stole it <.<

Derricrane has you covered there; just like he has you covered against The Lightning if you know when you drop it properly. Derricrane pretty much makes this card a very frightening beast; because not only are you slapping some pretty sweet disruption during your opponent's turn on top of the protection effects, you also make getting rid of Number 81 not a very simple manner that's easy on the card resources.

Oh by the way, have I ever told you all how much I love this card? Because I really, really like it. In fact, it's probably my all-time favorite card in the whole game. Which is pretty obvious.

Fact remains Train Dolls were topping in OCG, and stopped doing so post Rafflesia and Utopia

Yep Derricrane is a beast! But what if you facing Graydle Eagle? >:D

Dunno but i'm always ended up facing Eagle during the duel (any Graydle, like pure one or KaijuGraydle), So Derricrane won't help here.

Derricrane helps by popping the Graydle when it equips; and because 81 is already immune as you do this, nothing happens to him and the Graydle stays ded. It all works out in the end.

Let's say opponent set/summon a Graydle and you pop* it with Derricrane, still next turn they can ram their monster and steal yo!

Attacking them normally? Number 81 can't be activated during the Damage Step, so it won't work (aka too late).

It's just worse when facing Graydle, best bet is Summon Gustav def pos, and keep burn opponent each turn. (and hope they won't summon Dragon).

This runs over any Kozmo like it was nothing. And Performage isn't much of a problem, either.

Yeah, this shits all over Kozmo. Really if this drops there is very little they can do until you run out of material, barring a chained Kozmojo or Fiendish Chain, I suppose.

Simply beautiful; and maybe hilarious.

Eagle's ALWAYS the one that appears first.

by the time this hits TCG, it'll be sharing a game state with Pendulum Sorcerer and probably Utopia the Lightning.

Ignister + Partnaga/Guiturtle scales gets over an ATK Dora. 3450 ATK.

Add 2 more ppal monsters, and it gets over a DEF Dora. 4050 ATK.

S39:L just outright kills it.

So no, you can't say Performage isn't much of a problem, because cards it blends with make it able to out this semi-reliably (Ignister) or reliably (UTL).

S39 is a very obvious play that a player like me can see coming a mile away, and one I can stop easily either with Derricrane or with backrow. It's the Performapal stat boost plays that become harder to deal with as that's not as simple as killing one card to stop. As for Performapals as a whole, I'll need to do more testing against the match-up to know for sure; but historically it's not one that I've had much trouble with. Granted, I'm definitely far above the average Trains player with that deck, so this doesn't really say much for the match-up as a whole.

This completely sums up the reason I despise this card.

There are nearly no flaws in this card and Derricrane can pop the problematic cards.

Other than S39 I can't see an easy out. If you can't bait the materials in 2 turns you're screwed

Kaiju. Lava Golem. Better yet. Play OCG and use Super Poly and Notice.

I completely forgot Super Poly was not banned in OCG.

Yup :) It's at it's rightful number @1

Notice pretty much ruins train dolls to the point where playing SSS is far superior. Also the only thing keeping Train Dolls afloat was 3 skill drain, something that BA 95% ruined for OCG with the coming list

S39 is in fact NOT invulnerable during the Main Phase; giving you ample time to negate its effects, or even its Summon.
