Tentacruel
Discuss Tea. Just like old times. No, but really, Tenta is taking General back. Let's talk about some munchies. As an American, I love me some sweet tea, but only the good kind. Not the premade sticky garbage. I'm also a fan of green tea, but only iced. As for hot, I can really only tolerate it black, sometimes with a bit of sugar. Come on, let's talk about more trivial bullshit in General. (But it's not misc so keep your posts long.) mitchermitcher
also a fan of green teamy brother but only iced.errrrrrr oh well Hot green tea is a miracle of the universe. And also Oolong tea, but not the sweetened kind. As long as it doesn't have a lot of flavor I'll drink any tea you throw at me.
.Rai
I bought Rod some English breakfast tea as a gift from a Brit to a Brazilian. I have a counter in my household where half of it is taken up by various jars of miscellaneous teas of most kinds you can think of.
Makο
When I think about it, I'm not all that picky when it comes to tea. I'll drink basically whatever I'm given. When it comes to Legit British Tea™, I like sort of Apple/Cinnamony-types, but I'm fine with Black. When it comes to Fake Tea Trash™, I adore Lemon Brisk. Dunno why I think it's good, but I do. Also, Arnold Palmer's are the best.
epicmemesbro
When it comes to brewed tea, I drink Spearmint tea. Since my family has a small garden out back I just pluck some spearmint and make some tea. However I usually make it when I'm sick, as it makes the symptoms more mild. There is also something called "tea de boldo" that my family makes but its meant for fighting bacterial growth. From what I've heard its taste is repulsive and its effects effective. Darj
For the record, I mostly drink tea made from those commercial envelopes you find in stores, no fancy tea blends from Teavana and similar stores, nor homegrown tea, although I have taken homemade cinnamon tea, and other blends that I cannot accurately remember at this time. That said, I got into tea because of a sibling of mine who purchases said tea boxes and gradually I would get into having a cup every now and then. Nowadays, I am not as dedicated towards tea, but I certainly have developed a taste for it. I prefer spice (e.g. cinnamon, vanilla, chai) and black teas including Darjeeling, as well as teas of refreshing herbs (e.g. peppermint, lemongrass). I'm not too fond of fruit, green or other herbal teas, with some exceptions such as lemon, red tea (rooibos), or if they are blended with the ingredients that I prefer (e.g. apple & cinnamon, green tea with lemon or lemongrass). As for sweeteners, I got used to not adding any, with the exception of a hint of soy milk (yes, I don't like regular milk) on the spice, black and red teas, but I add it mostly for the color it takes. Tinkerer
Well... Funny story, my middle school used to do research on a country as a theme for the year and one year was Britain. Needless to say, the school sometimes offered tea after school let out and I loved it. I'm not much of a connoisseur of teas, but I am usually aware of the distinctions between different teas and therefore am usually inclined to one type over another (though I don't have a favorite). That said, I personally love lemon juice and honey/sugar in my hot tea! ...I don't drink it too often anymore though...
Sethera
I prefer green, white, and red teas but black tea is also good. I prefer hot tea when it's colder, and iced tea when it's warmer, though I generally can drink iced tea at any temperature. I like adding honey to my tea too. :
Goose
All herbal "tea" is only good iced unless we are talking mint. The best kind of mint tea btw is just straight fresh mint leaves (try to make sure there are no bugs on the leaves). Far too few people drink good black teas; most people just drink breakfast tea. Chamomile is literal cat piss. Oolong and green teas are only good with jasmine buds. A few thoughts.
