Why haven't we left YCM yet?

A lot of you guys have been saying you want to get off here. I haven't gotten the same feeling for a while, but I do now.

This is, for the most part, all I do in my free time; I don't have any alternatives I can do averagely. It feels a bit comforting here, because I'm used to this place; the people, the threads, everything. It's like my online home, it feels welcoming. But I've spent all my time on here, and can't bear it anymore; I need to break outta here. The only question I still have is; what else will I do besides YCM and video games?

I need your help. And for all those who want to find a way to quit YCM, and to escape to the real world, discuss it here. I hope it helps.

I'm actually a departed spirit but my soul is anchored to YCM, so I would never be able to leave this place even i wanted to

If there's somewhere better you'd rather be, find a way to deanchor yourself. If you fail, try again.

Well you could try spriting. That's what I do.

I've actually been wanting to do that for years? Any pointers?

OT: Reason I haven't left yet is cause nowadays I don't have friends that I hang out with, let alone regularly. Heck, that was the reason why I left in 2008 for a few years, but then things ended ugly and I moved away.

Meh, I wouldn't really say I would leave. Sure this site has some lack of features and has unwanted ones, but in my opinion this card maker is better than yugico. I do use other sites and main this one with another but since this site as not related to my gaming related stuff and has a much different atmosphere I do go here as well. I could not find a Spanish themed Yugioh site and the alternative (DNF) is terrible why not choose this over the other?

Honestly I dont even like Yu-Gi-Oh anymore and I only ever came back to this place one day out of pure randomness and found myself staying and ive just never left simply because ive never felt the need to.

Yes. I can give you guidelines about specific things regarding shading and outlining, but if you're asking for a generalized tutorial, let me introduce you to my pal Jappio.

He used to hang around here in YCM, but his last activity was over a year ago. Anyway, his tutorials are great and I'm sure you can put them to use if you're just starting out. Have fun.

If you're interested in pokemon splicing specifically, then I could probably help you out.

I was thinking of ways to get more members to go post sheet in showcase then I realized the perfect gateway would be pokemon splicing because people on this site funking love pokemon and also because it's easy to learn the basics, overall it's a good medium for creativity.

I used to do that, though I'm not sure where it all is. I wouldn't mind getting back into it, though.

I used to splice sprites, too. I can still make/splice sprites. Maybe I'll invest more time in it.

When I get back home I'll stream a tutorial for whoever's interested, if others want to learn too then I'll make a video if I have time.

Might as well make a video, cause I'm never available during the weekdays.
