Yu-Gi-Oh! Reborn [OOC/Started/Accepting]

Recommended Posts

I can make that change. Problem is, I'm not sure how to make the personality section much longer. I've got a couple things, but not enough to double that.

What does he think of duels themselves? What does he think of other duelists? What does he think of other Duel Monster cards when dueling? What does he think of winning/losing?

I know those are all duel related questions, but those are some things I try to answer in mine. Hope they help!

Here's another one!

[spoiler=Ryuu, Duelist of Shadows]

Name: Ryuu Michio

Gender: Male

Age: 19

[spoiler=Physical Description:]large.jpg

[spoiler=Personality:]Ryuu is a guy quite often lost within in his own world. He finds it difficult to form lasting relationships, as he is not a very trusting person, when it comes to humans, that is. He is much closer to Duel Monster Spirits, and he values them much more than others. Even when dueling, he doesn't enjoy monster banishment, and prefers preventing his opponent bringing any of them out if possible. Ryuu doesn't visibly show his emotions often, preferring to keep them to himself and having a mask of calm all the time. He prefers moving slowly, both in movements and actions, never underestimating any opponent, although he is not good at second guessing his opponent, preferring to rely on what he knows as facts.

However, when Ryuu summons his Shaddoll Fusion monsters, he starts to be influenced by their personalities, normally shown by their Attribute (i.e. FIRE is rash, WIND is less sane etc.), and when he draws his ace monster, Shaddoll Herald, that monster starts to take control of him for the Duel. Shaddoll Herald, while having Ryuu's best interests at heart, is colder and much more calculated, being much more familiar with Duel Monsters as he is one himself. He is willing to do anything to win the duel (outside of cheating because Duel Disks) and enjoying inflicting damage to your opponent, however, he does not feel an attachment to other Duel Monsters outside of his fellow Shaddolls. Ryuu willingly lets Herald take over, as he believes Herald can duel better than him.

[spoiler=Biography:]Ryuu was never an "outcast", but he was never exactly included with others either. He was just there, and generally got through his life being almost ignored. He didn't mind that, and used that time collecting Duel Monsters. Ryuu never dueled anyone with them at first, merely keeping them around him, using them as what little company he wanted; he didn't feel any connection to real people.

However, one day when he came home, he heard voices talking to him. They appeared to be coming from the cards, and they introduced themselves Duel Monster Spirits who had felt his spirit was close to theirs and so he had called them to this plane, and so would stay with him and help him duel if he so wished. Not even considering the fact that he might have gone round the bend, or questioning the spirits' motives, he decided to start dueling.

That was 2 years ago, and now, with a bit of nudging from his companions, he has decided to enter the Calisdo King Tourney, confident in the Spirits. People always wondered if there was more to this Duelist than his deck and cards, considering his sometimes odd behavior during duels and sometimes knowing what cards he would get next, but nothing solid was ever conceived.

Deck: Shaddoll: Fusion/Synchro/Xyz Deck that focuses on sending themselves to the Graveyard to recycle their S/T and gain other forms of advantage, along with countering other ED plays.

Custom Cards: (Again, will PM you. Herald, a Synchro and Xyz, and 1 card's text changed.)

Play Style: Speed. Ryuu likes to the get the duel over as quickly as possible. Herald prefers dragging it out, but knows when speed is required.

Misc. Information:

Battle Theme (Ryuu): Metroid Dread - Ianus Boss

Battle Theme (Shaddoll Herald): Axiom Verge - Trace Rising

Favorite Color: Purple

[spoiler=The Bully]

Name: Ken Uemdo

Gender: Male

Age: 16

[spoiler=Physical Description]
Ken is rather short, at 5 feet 3 inches, but it is wise not to mention it. He is quite fit, both from dueling and from sporting activities. His hair is dark red, and he wears it in a rather sloppy ponytail. He has green eyes beneath thin eyebrows over a rounded nose. His normal outfit consists of a tank top and sweat pants, though he does have a varied enough wardrobe for any occasion.

[spoiler=Personality]
Ken is a massive jerk, to put it simply. After running away from his dojo, he at first took up the life of someone who helps others, but eventually dropped that in favour of simply dominating them. He has an intense dislike of those who hesitate about things, and is very reckless, with a short a fuse. He cares very little for others' opinions and has a very 'Might makes right' philosophy. Well not above physical violence to achieve his ends, someone who can defeat him in a duel will be treated with respect- once he calms down. Those he deems weak, however, are worth little in his eyes, except perhaps for exploitation.
One of his biggest fears is those who can talk to Duel Spirits, after he was terrorised by a group of them in his youth. He despises them with a passion, and will refuse to co-operate with one unless given a really good reason. This also contributes to a self-believe issue, as deep down he still doesn't believe he is better then those that bullied him and that he is an inferior duelist to those who can commune with their deck. Adding to that is his distrust of parental figures, after his parent sent him away against his wishes.

[spoiler=Biography]
Ken wasn't actually born in Seadown, where he now lives. Originally the child of two working class parents, Ken had a good childhood initially, acting friendly and enjoying people's company. However, at a local Duel Tournament, he was spotted by a representative of the world famous Cyber Dojo, one of the most elite and secretive schools in the world. Seriously impressed by Ken, the scout got into contact with his parents to offer 12 year old Ken a place. This was unusual as most of the scholarship students in the Cyber Dojo had begun attending at a younger age, around six or seven. Ecstatic at a chance to give Ken a ticket to better places, his parents signed up straight away. However, when they told Ken he was horrified. Attending the dojo meant leaving the country and all his friends and family. While he could communicate with them online, his family would only very rarely afford to visit him. Despite his express wishes, his parents, thinking all for the best, made him attend the Cyber Dojo creating a rift between parents and child.
Once there, things took a downturn for Ken. All the others in his year had been together since they were very young and weren't welcoming to the newcomer. To make matters worse, his distress at being forced to attend made his progress, both in Duel subject and Academic subjects, slow. This annoyed both staff and students who felt that this soft boy was holding everyone back. To 'toughen him up' one of the teachers organised a couple of the older students who had mastered Duel Spirit communication to bully him in hopes he would begin to stand up for himself. Unluckily, the reverse happened, making Ken slip further into his shell. Undeterred, the teacher continued to approve of the bullying, and more and more students got in on the action. Daily life became a torment for Ken as he was transformed from a confident, happy kid into an object of mockery.
After three years of this, on a school trip to Seadown, Ken snapped. He attacked his chief tormentors and beat them in a duel before physically attacking them and fled into the night. Avoiding the attempts by Cyber Dojo members to find him, Ken bunkered down at a Youth Hostel. To his contempt, Cyber Dojo didn't tell anyone he was missing, in order to protect their reputation. After bumming around the city for the past two years, and gathering a following of teenaged duelists he'd defeated and who now worked for him, Ken is well provided for as nearly school bullies in Seadown pay some sort of tax to him, to avoid incurring his wrath. This domination of others went, recently, from feeling liberating to rather stale. To relive the boredom, and perhaps get even with Cyber Dojo, Ken has decided to enter the Calisdo King Tournament.

[spoiler=Deck and Play Style]
Deck: Ken uses a "Cyber" deck, that he combines with the ABC series of Union monsters to dominate the enemy with juiced up mechanical dragons.
Ace Cards: Cyber Dragon Nova, Chimeratech Overdragon, ABC-Dragon Buster, Cyber Colossal Dragon
Custom Cards:
Cyber Colossal Dragon
LIGHT - lvl 9 - Machine/Fusion/Effect - ATK 2800 DEF 1000
"Cyber Dragon" + 2 Union Monsters
Must first be Special Summoned (From the Extra Deck) by banishing the listed materials. When this card is Fusion Summoned: you can Special Summon 1 Union monster from your hand or graveyard then, if you successfully summoned a LIGHT Machine-type Union monster, you can 1 add 1 "Cyber" card or Machine-type Union monster from your deck to hand. If this card is destroyed by an opponent's card (whether by battle or card effect): Special Summon 1 "Cyber" monster from your Extra Deck, ignoring Summoning conditions, except "Cyber Colossal Dragon".
Omni Cyber Dragon
LIGHT - Lvl 5 - Machine/Effect - 1200 Atk 2000 Def
You can Special Summon this card, from your hand, by sending one Machine-type you control to the graveyard while your opponent controls a Special Summoned, but banish this card when it leaves the field. Once per turn: you can target 1 of your banished Machine-type monsters; this card's name becomes the same as the targeted monster.
D-Destroyer Lion
LIGHT - lvl 4 - Machine/Union/Effect - 1000 ATK 1000 DEF
Once per turn, you can target 1 LIGHT Machine-type monster on the field, and equip it with this card OR if this card is equipped to a monster, Special Summon it. The monster this card is equipped to cannot be banished, shuffled into the deck or returned to the hand by opponent card effects. If this card is sent from the field to the graveyard, you can send 1 Union monster from your deck to the graveyard.
E-Electrical Bombarder
LIGHT - lvl 4 - Machine/Union/Effect - 1500 ATK 0 DEF
Once per turn, you can target 1 LIGHT Machine-type monster on the field, and equip it with this card OR if this card is equipped to a monster, Special Summon it. If the equipped monster attacks, it gains ATk equal to the number of LIGHT Machine-type monsters on the field x300. If this card is sent from the field to the graveyard, you can target 1 monster on the field: equip it with 1 appropriate Union monster from the graveyard as if it was being equipped by its own effect.
DE-Blitz Panther
LIGHT - lvl 6 - Machine/Fusion/Effect - 2300 ATK 1500 DEF
("D-Destroyer Lion" + "E-Electrical Bombarder")
Must first be Special Summoned, from the Extra Deck, by banishing the listed Fusion Materials from your field or graveyard (You don't use "Polymerization")
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can destroy 1 card you control; then target 1 card on the field; shuffle it back into the deck.
During your opponent's turn: You can shuffle this card back into the deck, then send 1 Machine-type from your deck to the graveyard then, if the sent monster was a LIGHT monster, Special Summon 1 Union monster from your hand or graveyard.
Frontline Soul
Equip Spell
This card can only be equipped to a Union monster. When this card is activated: you can banish 1 Union monster from your hand or graveyard; this card's effect becomes the same as the effect of the banished monster. When this card is sent to the graveyard: Gain 1000 LP.
Frontline Sacrifice
Counter Trap
When your opponent would Special Summon a monster, or a monster effect is activated, while all the monsters you control are Union monsters or monsters equipped with Union monsters: Send 1 card you control to the graveyard; Negate the activation, and if you do, banish the card.
Play Style: Ken enjoys forcing his opponent to realise that they've no chance at winning, and to get this to happen he tries and summon as many Extra Deck Cybers early on, and equip them with his Unions. However, this does leave him very open to overextension if his plays get disrupted.

[spoiler=Misc]

Ken has a deep seated love of certain sports, in particular tennis.
He's allergic to nuts.

Just a couple of questions...
Will there be action or turbo duels, or any alternate duel modes?
Do the King/Queen character need any special cards/abilities?

[spoiler=Sam Naismith]

Name: Sam Naismith

Gender: Female

Age: 25

[spoiler=Appearance]

kCkuv2S.png

[spoiler=Personality]
Sam, living a fairly regular life, is a fairly regular person. She is as mature as a 25 year old person should be, and survives on cups of ramen in her shoddy apartment she shares with her roommate, Alice Topp. She has a well-used comical nature, choosing to laugh off her mistakes instead of worry about them, and make groan-inducing puns at the most opportune moments. Her response to “What’s up?” doesn’t get better each hundredth time she says it, but she doesn’t care, smiling cheekily as her friends' expressions turn sour. On top of this, she likes to play harmless pranks on them, laughing her ass of each time she does.

When duelling, however, she has a more serious style, opting to think ahead and outplay her opponent, trying to beat them as soon as possible, out of respect, so she isn’t toying with them, something that’s happened to her one too many times in life. Her previous boyfriends did some horrible things to her, including beating, cheating on and being all-around jerks to her, and as such, she is rather abrasive towards men her age when she first meets them.

Otakus are usually rather reserved people, but because of all her boyfriend shenanigans, people see Sam as a regular person. What they don't know is that she loves anime and manga, and would be scared to let any of the "cool kids" see her room. The place is covered in posters from all of her favourite shows, and the floor is littered with ramen cups.

[spoiler=Biography]

Sam grew up in a simple 4-person family, her younger brother being born only 3 years after her. She got into Duel Monsters at a young age, watching the “The Magician Girls’ Amazing Travels” show on her television, and through watching that show, gained a love for Dark Magician Girl. This love expanded to an even greater capacity in her early teen years, becoming a massive otaku as she slowly build her Dark Magician deck. None of the newer support for Dark Magician interested her, except the brand new Dark Magicians Knights, which she spent hundreds of dollars on to get.

Finishing her elementary education with high marks allowed her to get into a slightly prestigious Duelling High School, where she sat peacefully in the middle of the best duelist rankings. During this time, she slowed down her anime/manga addiction, and focused on the single most important aspect of a teenage girl’s life, boys. She got together with several boys over the years, but after each one toyed with, and broke, her heart, she got over the craze, instead focusing on what the hell she might do in her adult life. Without a job, Sam though it was a better time than ever to join in the Calisto King Tournament.

Deck: Dark Magician Knight/Magician Girl Deck

Custom Cards: TBA

(Optional) Play Style: Sam attempts to finish the duel as logically as possible, trying to make the right moves for the situation, which is usually, baiting her opponent with the Magician Girls, then unleashing her Dark Magician Knights to finish them off.

[spoiler=Misc. Information]

Held the previous World Record for number of ramen cups eaten in 10 minutes, at 11, but was surpassed by her roommate with 12. Since then, others have gotten even higher scores.

Am I accepted Muddy, I know I still got to show you that archetype I'm using but for all intensive purposes am I in?

You're in. I do need that archetype sometime soon though.

So umm... When does this game start?

Well, I know of two people who still want to join, who want to be the king/queen I mentioned in the plot thing, so we'll have to wait for them.

Hopefully by the end of this week though.

Sota Ito, the living computer (thought i'd add a title since everyone else had one)

[spoiler=Name]  Sota Ito

[spoiler=Gender] Male

[spoiler=Age] 27

[spoiler=Physical Appearance] Anime-boy-with-white-hair-and-blue-eyes.

[spoiler=Personality] Incredibly arrogant, he constantly expects to win no matter the foe. If he were to lose (which he often does) he would attempt to hide his embarrassment but would most likely fail. He is extremely technical and compares people to machines and computer software. Constantly attempting to anticipate others moves/motives, he considers himself to always be the most intelligent person in the room. An introvert, he tries to focus himself during a duel and avoid conversation with his opponent. Sota prefers to distance himself from others and be alone in a group, mostly spending time fiddling with his duel disk and other small machines he keeps with him. Becomes incredibly stressed if he has to interact with someone and will refuse to look them in the eyes. He will "secretly" make friends (meaning he'll consider someone a friend but won't admit or acknowledge it). Displays of emotion are an alien concept to him (or at least he doesn't recognize it in others). After a duel, whether or not he losses, he will congratulate his opponent in an arrogant manner. Sota's thought process is similar to how the average computer operates, "record new information, delete irrelevant data, do not become obsolete."

[spoiler=biography] As a child Sota spent a large amount of time indoors, mostly fiddling with household appliances and coming up with ideas for machines to impress his father, at first he thought duel monsters was stupid and childish  but eventually he was pressured into playing by his class mates, shortly after which he not only fell in love with the game but became the class "superstar" duelist, his practical mind allowing him to easily form a proper deck strategies for his friends instead of just mashing together the coolest looking cards but that quickly faded and he was left behind once they realized it was mostly a game of wits and began making far stronger decks using better cards to beat him with, his favorite cards quickly became the "Monster ." archetype, a set of cards he received as a gift from his parents to help him enter the world of dueling, do to it's simple but technical plays as well as it's machine typing even though they were considered one of the weaker archetypes. He graduated early, majoring in engineering, and became a programming teacher at a public school near his home while working on his ultimate goal, to come up with the next great invention to revolutionize dueling (much like the duel disk did). He duels mostly casually and to test his deck theories and modified duel disk but occasionally will challenge someone if it means furthering his research. While tries to stay away from people Sota finds them necessary to his work, not only as opponents for duels but to base his A.I. off of and finally perfect his creation so he can present it to Industrial Illusions and at last be recognized for his (self proclaimed) brilliance.

[spoiler=Deck] a "Monster." (custom archetype) deck, heavily relies on having a normal monster on the field in order to use spell/trap cards as well as to special summon effect and gemini monsters, contains 2 Xyz, Synchro, & Fusion monsters, one of each being an upgrade of it's respective counterpart.

[spoiler=Misc. Information] Favorite color - Black

Favorite Monster card - Monster. 1

Favorite Spell card card - C0rrupt10n F1l3 >@

Favorite Trap card - C0rrupt10n F1l3 >$

Favorite type of music - techno

enjoys coding and making small machines as well as customizing his duel disk

Random Quotes - "Stop talking to me i'm trying to duel!" (if his opponent makes a bad move) "You've miscalculated, it appears there is an error with your strategy." (after activating a "C0rrupt10n" card) "A virus seems to have entered my system" (after winning) "Congratulations! you were a worthy opponent after all." (after losing) "Congratulations! it's been awhile sense i faced someone so good." "Humans are merely machines made of organic matter, yet somehow they confuse me."

Looks nice, but:

A) Please put things in spoilers, please.

B) The biography needs a bit more work.

C) Having caps at the start of each sentence is a must.

Do those things and you're in.

[spoiler=Queen of the Deep]

bYflIIX.png
"The ocean is quite a place. You should consider going there more often."

Name: Morgan Zabat

Gender: Female

Age: 17

[spoiler=Appearance (and apparently inventory)]pw7hVOk.png
Morgan stands at a simple 5'6" (168cm) and weighs 124 pounds (56kg). Her skin tone suggests she gets plenty of sunlight, as she's slightly tanned. Morgan's hair is a bright red-orange, and is often tied back into a ponytail. Her eyes are a similar color to her hair. Morgan's fashion sense is very one-track, and it's exceptionally rare to see her wear anything besides a suit, generally with a large black bag somewhere on her person. The contents of the bag are listed below.

When it's not on her arm, Morgan's Duel Disk can be found in her bag. Beyond this, it seems that Morgan uses her bag as a mobile wardrobe and utility bag. She always carries a spare change of clothes, a blue one-piece swimsuit (and a towel, of course), and an umbrella in case it rains. A few other items she carries that aren't clothing are a flashlight (and a spare set of batteries), a box of tissues, a bottle of water, and a small assortment of healthy snacks (or at least not junk food).

Due to her deck being composed of very big monsters that live underwater and have very destructive powers, duels involving Solid Vision tend to get pretty messy. It didn't take long for Morgan to realize she'd get soaked in any such duel, and to counteract this, she makes a point to keep the following in her bag in case she participates in such a duel:
1 yellow raincoat, waist-length, fit to Morgan's size
1 yellow raincoat, ankle-length, unisex in "one size fits all" (offered to the opponent before the duel)
1 pair of yellow rain pants, fit to Morgan's size
1 pair of black rubber boots, knee-height, in Morgan's shoe size

[spoiler=Personality]
Morgan is a fair few things, but pragmatic is the foremost of them. What's practical takes precedent over what's ideal or fancy to her, and while this means she has a knack for solving things in the most efficient manner possible, it also leaves her creativity lacking. This pragmatic nature of hers is only bolstered by a very logical and fact-based approach to things. She's the sort of person that will analyze something thoroughly if she doesn't understand it, and will then categorize it accordingly in the list of things she remembers. While exceptions can be found to this rule, they're typically things Morgan makes a point of avoiding while in the eyes of others.

While no saint, Morgan isn't somebody who will go out of her way to act unkind toward somebody either. She prides herself on a firm neutral stance toward anyone and everyone, which allows her to act without bias and proceed in the best manner possible when interacting with others. That said, Morgan isn't somebody who would shy away from conversation. In fact, socially she's very quick-witted and capable of serving many conversational roles. However, as with her pragmatic and logical approaches, she has her own social weaknesses too. They're not something she likes others seeing, and are directly tied with the exceptions to her almost mechanical behaviors.

Stalking her long enough would teach a person that Morgan really likes penguins. She collects penguin-themed items almost religiously, and has a picture of a penguin inside her wallet for when she's feeling down. The flightless birds are a surefire way for Morgan to let her guard down, but they also show Morgan for what she really is. Other than her immense love for penguins, Morgan's sure to get mad at a person if they dirty her suits, and can't stand chaos since it's both impractical and doesn't follow logic. Those are just her getting mad though; it's probably better to show her penguins instead. Or get her some mint ice cream. She loves that stuff.

[spoiler=Biography]
Daughter of a pair of rather simple fishers, Morgan grew up closer to the sea than most of Seadown. Right next to the coast, where the waves rolling in and out were visible from her bedroom window. However, she wasn't one for fishing. Pulling up little fish for everyone and knowing what you'd caught wasn't quite young Morgan's style. She was more interested in what people DIDN'T know about. Once she was young enough to go diving under the ocean, Morgan took a particular liking to exploring the depths, in search of great creatures nobody had ever discovered yet.

While she never did find any gargantuan sea beasts, Morgan did get the waters around Seadown mapped out in her mind, to where she knows the reefs and caverns of the sea better than the streets and blocks of the land. Nowadays, her interests have been directed to the local zoo, where she does volunteer work. With how clockwork her schedule is, one would think she actually worked there full-time. On her days off, however, there are still times where she'll take to the water in search of great sea beasts that may have still eluded her yet.

Deck: Morgan uses a Deep Terror deck, which summons powerful WATER monsters to keep the enemy's resources under control or bolster her own.

Custom Cards: The Deep Terror archetype and related support. To keep things organized, all custom cards designed for use in Morgan's deck will be stored in this album.

Play Style: Deep Terrors are high-level WATER monsters that can only be brought out via Special Summon, but are very much capable of crippling the opponent once a few of them hit the field. The deck uses these control effects to force the opponent out of having the upper hand and keeping it that way. Due to their resource generation and/or recovery, Morgan has also included cards from the psuedo-archetype "of the Deep" and utilizes the field spell "Sunken City Atlantis" to convert her "of the Deep" monsters into Deep Terrors.

Ok, so I've accepted everyone, and will be putting up the IC shortly.

However! I still have not fully accepted Cardlover & 0PxPz0's cards, so I'll need to go over them with you guys before you duel, though that shouldn't be a problem, since there won't be and dueling for the first few posts.

Happy posting, everyone!
