DP19-JP024 おジャマパーティ Ojamaparty

Continuous Trap Card

You can only use each effect among the (1)st and (3)rd effects with this card’s name once per turn.

(1) During either player’s Main Phase: You can add 1 “Ojama” card or “Ojamuscle” from your Deck to your hand, then discard 1 card.

(2) If an “Armed Dragon” monster(s) you control (other than “Hardened Armed Dragon”) and/or a LIGHT Machine Fusion Monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can banish 1 “Ojama” card or “Ojamuscle” from your hand, field, or GY instead.

(3) If this card is sent to the GY: You can Special Summon as many of your banished “Ojama” monsters as possible.

But yeah, seems like a nice new toy for Ojamas in general (though they're still trying to push that meme boss with the 2nd effect).

This looks... interesting. Can't tell if it's any good because I got no clue of what are Ojamas capable of doing after the latest support, but there are a couple of things that caught me attention in this card. Mainly, that the first effect discards as an effect, so it can trigger stuff like Shaddolls, Dark Worlds, etc. If only it could be activated from hand during your turn under whatever conditions so you could potentially play it as an engine similar to Dragonic Diagram...

Then, I like the trigger flexibility on the 3rd effect. It can be activated by milling the card with Foolish Burial Goods, for instance.

In its most basic form this could support a Ojama Armed Dragon Deck where this can protect your Armed Dragon while you use it to destroy your opponents Monsters. Plus it can be effective if your running Ojama Country where the stat switching where generally DEF is lower than ATK on most Monsters making it easier to use.

 

Plus looking at it Lv 5 seems really decent in Ojama Country as it has a decent 1700 DEF to be made into ATK compaired to lv 7 having only 1000 DEF.

Why not OjamABCs? The 2nd effect can protect ABC, Buster Drake and Crush Wyvern have high DEFs to they get to beat stuff under Country, and Ojamas are LIGHT for possible Attribute compatibility/synergy.

 

By the way, I realized said 2nd effect can protect Merkabah too. Invoked Ojamas anyone? xD

I'm still trying to figure out how the effects correlate with the artwork.

 

Is the Graveyard suppose to be the bedroom where they have their pajama ojama party? Or perhaps it's the banished zone? When the card gets destroyed, does it mean party's over and everyone gets back to work (Special Summon themselves from the banished zone)? And how is this related to Armed Dragons/LIGHT Machine Fusion Monsters? Ojamadification and Ojamatching made more sense.

 

Konami pls answer.
